I am in the process of selling my iphone to buy the m8. I am buying non subsidized and was wondering which variant would be the best for flashing roms and possibly doing the GPe conversions. Should I spend a little more to get either the unlocked or developer edition, or would the AT&T variant work fine after being unlocked?
Thanks!
get the unlocked.
if you are already decided on rooting and flashing to GPe roms why would you even consider the ATT variant? too bad too cuz you missed out on the $649 pricing for the unlocked. it's $700 now
I found several listings of good used unlocked v10s for less than $250. With all the variants there are, which one do you guys recommend me getting? I am one who likes to root and have xposed and custom recoveries. I know currently the T-mobile is unlocked bootloader, but is there any development for any of the other v10s? International? AT&T? Verizon? Any hope for those phones or should I stick to an unlocked T-mo. variant?
Edit: Sorry guys, delete this thread. I have MetroPCS and I just now learned that a T-mobile device can work on Metro without being unlocked. So I will be buying a T-mobile LG V10 instead of an unlocked one.
Hey guys, i had this LS993 G6 Sprint unrooted and sim card locked for about a year. Months ago a few fellas here on XDA thrown away the idea that you could flash unlocked Canadian variant LG H873 firmware and you were going to be sim unlocked, Sprint debloated and maybe rootable. And it was a royal success:good::good:
I've just got this LG G5 Sprint LS992 from eBay for a buddy's birthday gift and i was thinking if can i do the very same process. With let's say flashing H831 (Canadian unlocked variant firmware) to achieve SIM unlock, Sprint debloat and probably root.
I've seen this very same conversion has been done with newer Sprint models like V30+ and a couple others so fingers crossed it can work. Please let me know if anyone has tried it.
****, i just realized the tittle of the thread says "converted" but i had in mine "can it be converted"... My apologize if anyone comes thinking i've already done it. It's a gift for a buddy so i would prefer not to risk bricking it.
Maybe someone has an already cracked or old one that can be risked.
To start this topic, I want to connect it to the history from this post on the Motorola Support Forums.
It has posts from two different Motorola/Lenovo agents basically stating that the Motorola One 5G will not be getting Android 12 and using excuses for their reasoning. The conclusion I reached is that it's likely the carries who decided this fate for the Motorola One 5G. It's only 4 months older than the Motorola One 5G Ace and according to my research, has better hardware in most areas than the Motorola One 5G Ace. Both phones started on Android 10, but Only the Motorola One 5G Ace will be getting a second major update, simply because it's newer.
Based on this Phonearena comparison who would have chosen the Motorola One 5G Ace over the Motorola One 5G?
I feel I made a reasonably tech savvy decision.
Additionally, are the two phones similar enough to tweak the Motorola One 5G Ace firmware and flash it to the Motorola One 5G? Or at least use it as a starting point?
Yes, I'm aware of the Pixel Experience GSI rom. I'm just hoping more rom options start popping up for the Motorola One 5G.
Hey off topic kind off so I have the motorola one 5G ace and to be frank I want to update it but I'm not that tech savvy I was wondering if there was a way I can pay someone to force update my phone for me. I'm currently in orange county California
Hi guys, i am from Mexico and im gonna buy a lg v60 from Aliexpress, but there are a lot of versions of the same device: Tmobile, Verizon, ATT even japanese version. All of the phones are unlocked but i want to buy a the cleanest version of the phone and root it, if possible. Any suggestion or any model is okay?
Tmobile or ATT, do not buy JP variant, verison with some hardvare problems
