My sister has a Samsung j600.
She didn't root her phone.
It boots with this message : "
could not do normal boot, invalid kernel length".​She has a lot of photos on this phone and she wants to recover them.
I can boot in "download mode" but not in "recovery mode".
Is there a solution to recover files like photos ?

I have a fake lenovo phone, s90c and i tried to repartition it so it has more app space and less for data, i used nmeteos-mtk6589-rom-edit-en.apk and now i can't boot my phone, it only says mount/system error with the green android robot and pats itself till i remove the battery. Rooted my phone with a Kingroot app and I accidentally deleted files that won't allow me to do a factory reset (it goes into loop, I have to take the battery out to stop) and no main screen shows... so I downloaded a theme app to see the main screen.
I thought if I disable the kingroot app, I could run the factory reset...but wrong!! very wrong choice!!
My phone doesn't boot!! it goes into loop at the beginning (the T logo keeps spinning).
I can't go to a recovery mode but I can access a download mode... so I found few CWM recovery files, custom ROMs (all .tar files) run via Odin but all files failed with message saying;
for cwm recovery files " Lock operation failed"
for custom Roms "Complete (Write) operation failed"
I don't know what else I can try to fix this phone... any idea please??

i have the same problem, my galaxy tab P5110 keep into bootloop
if i do reset factory or wipe data, it return in same state with all user data present, after reboot
i can pass with sucess some root app with odin but return to same state after reboot
i don't know the solution
perhaps using jtag solution , it solve the pb with emmc
I want to my current rom G9650ZHU3ARK1 flash into G9650ZCU3ARK1 , lots of tutorials in the internet said that I don't have to turn off the OEM lock. I think that is because I didn't turn off it. I use odin 1.13.1 and ADB is installed, and after odin started progress, it shows me failed .
Then I have to reboot my phone, but there's a warning "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recover function in the Smart Switch PC software."
I tried Smart Switch but no device shows in the emergency software recovery option .
And now my phone can't even shutdown, or can't enter downloading mode anymore. or recovery mode ( volume up + bixby + power ) , the only thing that it can do is reboot into error interface.
I don't know how to recover my phone, anyone can help me? please.

honestly i have no idea where to search for an answer for my problem.
Long story short:
The owner of the phone died and i searched for a solution to get the data (mainly images) from the phone. We could not enter so i tried the dr.phone - android data extraction (damaged device).
In the end of the process it tells me that: "Flash recovery package failed" and it is stuck at the "Recovering..." Screen.
Also on the screen is the message:
"Your device will be in the recovery mode all though the recovery process.
Tip: If the data recovery is completed but your device keeps in frozen stat. Please restart our product and connect your deice, the program will prompt you to exist recovery mode".
Now we dont know what we should do because nothing is working anymore.
We really need the data... Is there still a way how we can safe the data?
Did you get back the lost data you want ?
There are ways to recover the data but none will be found here.
Have a look here and you can do it yourself.
Don't ever trust iffy apps like that one to recover your data.

I have samsung A5 2017. When i start my phone it shows no command and it continues to restart after 1 minute.
When i try to open recovery mode i get error "fail to open recovery_cause(No such file or directory)". I have also tried combination of key power and volume up but not getting recovery mode. I think it has been deleted or something else. I am also unable to load firmware.
I also tried to install twrp with odin 3.13 but get error unable to install frp locked.
Please tell me solution how can i get back recovery mode so that i can install firmware.
Please help me for this.

I'm very curious about solving the issue on mine (I can't reboot at all, can't even access the reboot after getting the "no command" message. If you have any clue on how you accessed reboot mode and can be kind enough to share, this would be really appreciated )
I know this is an old thread, but did you find a solution?
On an unlocked J6, after flashing the stock rom, although I can open recovery, I get the same message. The options I tried (both reboot options, both wipe options, power off) work. I went ahead and installed twrp through odin, which passed, but when I boot into recovery, it boots into samsung recovery (with the same message) and not twrp.
I'm guessing the twrp problem is related to the error message.
