[SOLVED] Bootloader/Fastboot fix doesn't work - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Realme 5i, I flashed a C73 firmware on it. It rebooted but kept restarting. The fastboot fix (file attached) that a kind dude gave me used to work but it doesnt work anymore. What Im guessing is, I flashed the wrong firmware so how do I delete it? I can go to fastboot but not recovery mode which the fastboot fix should fix but didnt. Any help is appreciated. If I somehow fixed past this, is there a way to know my exact build number? Through custom recovery or anything(pc) cause I dont have any OS on my phone.
Edit: I've fixed the rebooting loop but whenever I try to use the same method I did to fix fastboot, it goes back to rebooting automatically and not letting me go to recovery mode. Also, I still want the firmware removed maybe that way I can do the fix once more and hopefully it would work again and flash a new firmware.

[Q] Phone will only boot up into Recovery!

I used Odin yesterday to Flash the new JI6 OTA update, after doing so it Odin said Pass but on my phone the error message read:
E:Cant mount/dev/block/stl10
I flashed stock ROM T959UJFD prior to flashing the new JI6 and went without cause. I pretty comfortable with Odin and have used it many times.
After the error the phone with boot up into the Vibrant Boot screen then go straight to Recovery. I tried rebooting and same result.
I tried Deleting all user data and same result.
I tried all the options available in recovery and still will only boot into recovery mode.
I tried plugging it into my pc and using adb to reboot into download mode but it will only reboot back to recovery.
When i have it Plugged into my pc and Odin open, Odin sees the device and opens up the COM line but won't do anything unless its in download mode.
Any help would be appreciated. "Crap now I'm one of those threads"
Ugh... I know this problem all too well. Did you click on the partition option in Odin when flashing to JI6??? If so, I hope you don't have a hardware locked phone!
Edit: Should probably elaborate a bit more.
To fix this simply get yourself into download mode manually by powering off your phone/removing battery/etc, and then power it back up while holding vol up + vol down. There are numberous methods to get into this mode unless you're hardware locked like me. Hopefull this will throw you into download mode and allow you to flash back to stock rom. If you're able to get this far simply try flashing the update again.
If you're hardware locked the only way I know of to fix the phone is either have TMO replace it with a phone that's not HW locked, or get Samsung's customer service center to give you an RMA for replacement. Either should work since what is now an official update borked your phone. I'm still waiting for my wife's phone to be returned in a hopefully non-Hw locked state. We'll see!
Good luck!
Mod close thread please, phone being replaced.

Bootloop at LG Logo After Flashing Custom Recovery

Dear XDA Members,
My P765 now is on Bootloop, it wont load the OS. Before it happened, the phone was fine with CM 10.2 and CWM Custom. I try to flash again an TWRP which can only use to flash CM 11 Unofficial. After i flash the recovery, it went normal. I restarted the phone, and the phone was working. I copy the CM 11 then i try to flash it by entering the recovery again, but the method just open the fastboot page, not the TWRP. and now the phone bootloop on LG logo. I try hard restart, and it couldnt work. i try to flash again the KDZ but the KDZ updater said my phone not recognized. Does anyone knows what should i do to fix my phone? :crying: Thanks before.

HELP!!
Even my LG-p765 is stuck in boot loop... actulally ringing boot.
But for me it happened during flashing recovery for the 1st time (i used tool tip for doing it).:crying:
Now my phone shows LG logo (just for a second) and restarts. This keeps happening unless i pull out the battery.
Please post, if anyone know how to recover from this the ringing boot.
If you can manage to get into fastboot and flash uboot and xloader, then connect the phone on software upgrade mode, it should connect. Although there is a catch, THIS WILL RELOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER.
No, it won't. If he install kdz by normal usb cable (not 910k), he will still have unlocked bootloader.

Recovery locked. Can't wipe cache. Can't flash anything. Bootloops. Help!

Hi,
So I was on the unlocked kit kat for awhile but it was so slow the tablet was unusable. I went to upgrade to lollipop and all hell broke loose.
Now, when i boot the twrp recovery it asks for a password (i never set one), and then when I hit cancel to bypass the password screen, if I try to wipe or install anything, it fails with a can't mount cache error.
I can boot the recovery and fastboot and that's about it.
Any advice? I tried flashing other recoveries but it seems to fail when trying to do that as well because the tablet will lockup after sending and then when I restart the same recovery is there.
Can anyone please help me!?
Thank you!
So to add to the problem... or what is probably the biggest problem I'm encountering is...
Whenever I flash something in fastboot, the device hangs!
I am desperate for some help guys please!
Did you fix this ?

NAND RW Corruption?

Hello everybody, My father's old S2 was running well till today, then suddenly it didn't wake up. Tried restarting and got a kernel panic. Then, nothing. The phone stucks on the I9100 logo or sometimes tries to boot, but it's stuck. It DOESN'T enter recovery mode, only download one. I was running a modded Nougat or Marshmallow ROM, and I've found a soft-brick/NAND RW corruption thread here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/help/guide-fix-unflashable-soft-bricked-gsii-t1457458
It's quite old and I don't know if it works, it refers to the old ICS, and, since I don't want to mess up things more than this, I prefer to ask you if someone has some other recent discussions or solutions for me.
Thank you so much in advance!
Guys can someone please help me? I tried that guide but I can't enter recovery mode, I tried flashing the CMW recovery with ODIN and it always get stuck on "NAND write start!". There is no chance to revive the phone? I can't flash a ROM with ODIN too, it gets stuck at the same point..
Also had the issue once that my device suddenly wouldn't boot up anymore. Also recovery didn't work. I fixed by flashing another recovery via Odin in download mode.
Did take quite long though until I finally succeeded, because at some recovery flashes Odin wouldn't pass 'NAND write start' or something. I tried with different recoveries and USB ports and somehow managed to get it working again. Then I wiped data, cache, system and reinstalled the ROM and Gapps.
Hope this helps.

Phone Brick Help

Hello,
I just received my brand new Samsung Galaxy A40 (SM-A405FN) and I wanted to root it / install Custom Rom before anything else.
So I downloaded TWRP 3.4.0 for my phone and tryed flashing it. But that did not work, I was stuck in download mode. So I decided to reflash original firmware. During the flash, Odin stuck itself at "Boot" operation during more than 15min, so I decided to reboot the phone to retry (what a big mistake...).
And now, I can't access Bootloader mode anymore, I only have a blue screen with "An error has occured while updating the device software. Use Emergency Recovery function in smart switch PC software".
I downloaded Smart Switch and tried the emergency recovery, but no devices appears in the list. Same thing with Kies...
I'm lost, please tell me I did not completely brick my brand new phone :crying: ...
Thank's for help and sorry for bad english...
EDIT: Ok, the phone is not dead ! I finally got the download mode back with the correct timing for key strokes!
Can someone tell me why I can't boot after flashing this TWRP: https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxya40.html ?
I saw this post which tells to flash Kernel & VBMeta with the recovery but Odin can't flash .img files: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a40/development/recovery-twrp-galaxy-a40-t4025587
solved?
Brick Problem solved yes, I still have not manage to install TWRP but at least I have been able to re-install stock firmware. Maybe I should do another thread for that problem
maybe you can try to enter the forum according to the device you are using.
