Hi all
I am looking at using an old Android Tablet as a dedicated E reader and I am looking for help to either do the following in code, but do not have clue, or third party apps or custom rom. Spec as below
Boot up then be given the option to use google books, amazon kindle or others as the dedicated reader.
Login to using your google or amazon accounts etc
Be able to set up your wifi credentials etc
When you start the tablet, have your own custom splash screen
Upon boot up, once you have chosen your preferred e reader app it will always boot straight into that app.
Still have access to the android settings menu etc like power settings etc.
Any ideas.
I know I could just go and buy a kindle etc but an old tablet give you access to colour screen etc.

Hi All,
My POCO M4 Pro does call recording via the google phone app, but you have to manually hit the record button each time.
The option to 'record all calls' is only available if your location is set to India.
I've tried the following:
Set 'Region' to India.
Spoof GPS location to India via developer options.
Used a VPN location in India
Each time I have cleared cache/all data for the phone app(s) and rebooted but it still doesn't work.
I wondered if I need to use an India based ROM, but I can see the 'record all calls' option for a split second each time I open the relevant settings page, but it is removed almost instantly each time, so I belive it is built into my 'Global' ROM, but is being disabled by my location.
Does anyone know what Google phone is looking at to determine my location?
I've considered changing my google play account to India, or creating a new google profile based in India to see if that fools it...
Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi,
for the past 6 years I was using Huawei phones and I love the simplicity and functionality of their apps - calendar, files and gallery. Unfortunately, I crashed my phone and had to buy Motorola instead (g72) with android 12. Is it possible to install those apps on motorola? I've tried installing HMS but obviously it's not enough. I'm rather desperate - google calendar is just terrible and I've downloaded about 20 calendar apps from google store - most of them are horrible.
Please help!
ps. it is rather ironic that i'm willing to stand on my head to install manufacturers apps, when many years ago I used to install cyanogenmod on my old Sony Ericsson just to get rid of any "additional" apps.

Hello,
first of all I apologize in advance for my mistakes, but not being at ease with the English language I prefer to use a translator.
I just rooted this tablet with TWRP & Magisk.
Now I want to change some features in the settings menu.
For example, I want to prevent the user to delete an application.
I tried app locker to block for example termux but unfortunately you can still delete the desired application. Of course, app locker can't be deleted but the applications it protects can.
on the other hand, is it possible for example to switch the tablet to airplane mode from 9 PM and to grey out the functionality to avoid that the person reactivates the connections ?
Sorry this is a lot to ask but if you can help me it would be nice.

I'm wondering, if there is a way to change the launcher-app, that gets started, if a HDMI cable is plugged in using USB OTG.
Samsung already added a HDMI-Mode switch from Screen Mirroring to DeX Mode. Maybe there is a hack to get my own app into this setting.
Example use case:
I want to display a game on my TV, when connecting it with my android phone, but don't want to run it on the phone screen. It would be nice, if it would start like Samsung's DeX directly on the TV. Or any other app like video surveillance or a chrome website.
In the next step I want to try using andronix+termux+vnc to get ubuntu on my TV screen while using my phone as android device.

Hey, community!
Is there any chance that someone of you knows the hack of how to change the default picture of the bank card in Google Wallet?
The problem is that I have two identical cards in my bank that are linked to the EUR and USD accounts and I always mess up while picking the wrong one.
My bank doesn't allow me to change the appearance of the card as some fintech banks do, but I remember when I was using iPhone with jailbreak it was possible with some tweaks to upload the custom card picture.
I've tried to check the Android file system but didn't find anything really helpful.
Maybe someone knows the way, thanks!
