Hi
Is it posiible to flash us international firmware in locked tracfone moto g play phone. If yes can this unlock the phone to accept others sim cards.
thank you
yahiadal
If you can unlock the OEM bootloader you should be able to install the RETUS stock rom image. You're more likely to have issues when flashing other phone carrier rom versions (or channels), and if the image you're installing has an older security patch than what's currently installed.

i bought myself an AT&T atrix previously. However, Lately my country Malaysia launched Moto Atrix. I hope to get a stock Malaysian Version rom.
is it possible?
thanks.
no not possible, an ATT Atrix cannot be flashed with a foreign build, It may be possible to flash the boot.img and system.img from a Malaysian rom to your atrix if u unlock the bootloader, however there will probably be incompatibilities and bugs if u do so. Best bet is to just unlock the bootloader and load kenneth's release of gingerbread 2.3.4
No idea why you'd want to flash a malaysian rom when ATT has BL unlock
ops.... My Mistake.
i tot it will be unlocked to all Atrix.
then i think i will start my journey with unlock the bootloader 1st.
thanks bro~
..I was already told by a friend in xda group that if I again flash a stock rom in my sm-900p phone which I got unlocked for international GSM use (using from India) , it won't get locked again ...with all due respect to the friend who affirmed me already that it won't get locked ,can anyone else confirm that to me please ? I am not able to dare to flash the stock rom....since two days I am just waiting to take that step..presently I am using darkwolf rom but I want to flash with stock rom so that bootloader and modem gets updated and then on that version,I will flash this rom again ..that's my plan
It will not relock for international use. If it does for some reason, you can use Galaxy Tools to unlock again, assuming you root. But if it was originally unlocked either officially with Sprint or via root + Galaxy Tools, then it won't relock. If you were in the US, you would have to change some other settings to re-enable domestic unlock but international sticks.
Hi, can i unlock the bootloader by the motorola's page with the verizon locked phone? or do i need a unsigned model to get the BL unlocked?
Can i put a global unsigned firmware to my Verizon MOTO E 2015 or can i only put my verizon's firmware on it?
Can i still use network on a global debloated firmware?
Thanks afterwards!
>can i unlock the bootloader by the motorola's page with the verizon locked phone?
No.
>do i need a unsigned model to get the BL unlocked?
Only the AT&T/GoPhone/Cricket branded XT1527 and the Verizon XT1528 cannot be bootloader unlocked. All the other variants can be unlocked via Moto.
>Can i put a global unsigned firmware to my Verizon MOTO E 2015 or can i only put my verizon's firmware on it
You can only put Verizon's firmware on it. If you try to flash another region's firmware, it won't validate (or worse, you'll get a perma. brick).
>Can i still use network on a global debloated firmware?
Doesn't apply to the Verizon model, but on bootloader-unlockable models, yes you can flash another region's firmware (don't flash the other region's radio/modem) or custom ROMs and the network works fine.
When i had my galaxy s7 on sprint i was able to flash other carrier roms and unlocked version roms through samsung flash tool .Can this be done with lg phones on some kind of flash tool ? Sorry for question just was wondering i use to flash unlocked version on my sprint v30 to have a bloat free phone
So the question I have is this. If you are going to root and unlock the phone anyway, why not just remove the bloatware on the phone? Why concern yourself with other carriers?
If all the carriers are equal as far as communication frequencies are concerned, then unlocking the phone is all you really need. Once unlocked (you don't even need to root for this) you can go to any carrier.
I could do that without root. And flashing unlocked version rom has no carrier bloat. Also i said nothing about rooting

If memory serves and may not, so unless something has changed, flashing any function on an android phone requires root access.

"Unlock" has different meanings in a dev forum. You mean carrier unlocked, SIM card unlocked. Not bootloader unlock.
U.S. Cellular has SIM card unlocked, carrier unlocked version. The "open market" version which will be released in early December will be both carrier unlocked and will be eligible for official bootloader unlock.
You basically want to convert your phone to another phone? Yes, with Samsung phones you can do something like that with Odin. I have a friend who bought UK Galaxy S8 and flashed Australian ROM (with Samsung Pay) through Odin. He's not rooted and doesn't want root.
There is an LG flash tool, to flash KDZ and TOT firmware:
http://www.droidviews.com/download-lg-flash-tool-to-flash-kdz-and-tot-firmwares/
I know with the V20 H910, once Dirty Santa was patched in order for someone to root their phone, they had to basically flash their phone to an older Freedom ROM, which was not yet patched, then install some engineering mode module, and then run Dirty Santa.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3664500
So, some of what you're are asking can be done. But that ROM flashing was temporary and on some carriers you would lose signal. It was just a step to getting the bootloader unlocked and TWRP installed. Then the regular H910 ROM was reinstalled, and all signal functionally restored.
____
NOTE: this is a very simplified answer to the question. There are even "patched" versions of the tools to allow you to flash versions you aren't supposed to.

No, after the V20 LG has now added signature checks so you can't flash other variants to convert to another.
This was not widely known a few months ago. We thought that V20 trick would still work.
Too bad.

I currently have both the T-Mobile version and I purchased an unlocked version from BestBuy.
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/oneplus-nord-n200-5g-blue-quantum-64gb-unlocked-blue-quantum/6468089.p?skuId=6468089
Are there physical differences to these two phones or are they just running different software?
EDIT I looks like its not possible to unlock the bootloader of the T-Mobile version just yet and I have been doing some searching and it looks like the unlocked version is closer to being unlocked. If anyone can confirm a way to bootloader unlock either I would appreciate it.
My end goal here is to get access to Unlocked/Uncapped tethering without having to use a 3rdparty app or companion app. The ability to flash custom ROMs and root access. But also the ability to flash back to a 100% stock rom.
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
EDIT I see now you can get the bootloader unlocked on both version by sending a token to Oneplus and waiting 7 days.

The only physical difference is that the T-Mobile version has the IMEI engraved onto the back of the phone while the unlocked variant does not and the original boxes are slightly different.
Both phones run different software. It is possible to flash the unlocked ROM to the T-Mobile version of the phone after unlocking the bootloader, but that breaks OTA.

You may find this useful with the T-Mobile variant: CLICK HERE
All the info you need to get your bootloader unlocked for the T-Mobile variant.
There's even a single adb command that will ungrey the OEM unlock option in the developer settings without a SIM unlock (you'll still need the unlock token from OP though):
The Quest for a Bootloader Unlock (partial guide, T-Mobile variant, may work for MetroPCS/Metro variant)
OK, this process has been hell, but I'm gonna try and consolidate everything I've worked out so far in one place. This all applies only to the T-Mobile variant (ie. it comes preloaded with all the T-Mobile bloatware) of the N200 on the T-Mobile...

does unlocked version has dual sim capability and dual sim tray??
I'm trying to do the same thing with the N200 for a hostpot @xVoidx . I'm curious if you succeeded, and what ROM did you end up using to do it?
I have this phone fully bootloader unlocked. can someone direct me to a tmobile variant rom? or something thatll change it from tmobile to unlocked?
