So i got this phone from my cousin who used to use this but it lags like hell and i would like to upgrade it to something better, Wanted Oxygen os but it isnt available on this phone i think. So, i want to know if MIUI 12 can be installed on this phone and if not what other roms would you recommend?
Well I'm pretty sure DotOS 5.x.x is the closest custom rom to miui and is a vailable for a variety of devices.
Otherwise, HavocOS is one of my favourites, BlissOS is good too in terms of customisability.
LineageOS is often the fastest custom rom on devices, though it lacks customisation.
DotOS 5.x looks pretty good. i should do some research on the other ones as well.
I have used LineageOS for android 11 on my galaxy grand prime and while it was good it was also a bit too simplistic for my taste
edit: I dont think 5.x is available for Honor 5x
Well, most roms other than lineage and pure aosp usually are customisable, so give any of those a go. Miui 12 most likely wont be ported, as the last ported version was miui 8, and dotos 5.x probably wont be available either as this device's development is only till android 10 from what I can see.
I am on lineage os 17.1, it looks good, did not see dotos 5.x for honor 5x

Well, OOS is basically AOSP with cherry picked additions.
So you could try out any AOSP or LOS based rom, difference wouldn't be too high because you don't have to use all of the customizations.
I'd suggest Slim. It's pretty neat for the Note 4 (Snapdragon variant).

To those who flashed ROMs multiple times, which do you think is the most stable for Redmi 5? (Whether in Nougat, Oreo or Pie)
stock miui is the most stable by far. as for custom rom resurrection remix is the best IMO as it have much customization (but design is quite outdated). For oreo, lineage os is quite stable i guess but lack of customization as it try to look like stock android rom. I had tried all the pie rom, the only one working is the aex rom but it is much less stable for me, although the battery and temp is good.
I find the official pixel experience oreo Rom to be most stable. Except ir sensor everything works perfect. I find it more smoother and gives better battery backup than than stock rom.

99% stable with only minor issues (slow fingerprint if you have Goodix fingerprint reader)? Lineage 15.1 Oreo or one of the new official ROMs like PIxel Experience or AospExtended. The only difference between them is how much you want to customize them, Lineage gives little chance, AExtended is best for that, PE already packs some Gapps so if you want that then its good, but if you don't want Gapps then Lineage.

Try Pixel Experience on 9.0. It's pretty stable with a good battery backup.

As the title States, is there any oxygenos stable pie ROM available for our device, if it's not available I'd request anyone to port for our beloved device. Undoubtedly oxygenos is better atleast to me it's better than stock. I'd like to see it, as it got ported to many devices like rn5, rn4, 4 and so on. Thank you.

I'd say until this gets ported, if it does.... Try Lineage OS., its basically stock android with extra features, quite similar to Oxygen OS, and the OnePlus devices originally had Cyanogen OS (Lineage OS predecessor) installed on them.
You could also try this magisk module, it would bring some of the OxygenOS features to any ROM as long as you have Magisk installed.

Hey everyone! I'm waiting for my new mi 8 lite to come and I'm wondering if I should flash a custom ROM immediately or not.
I used to have Redmi 3s prime (land) and I faced a few issues with custom ROMS, i.e. huge battery drain (LOS 15.1), camera picture desaturation (LOS 16), unbelievable lags (dot os).
In that device, the most stable ROM among those tried was Havoc OS, but the one I enjoyed most was LOS 16, because it was simple and minimal.
So, is there any platina ROM that has both good battery back up, simplicity and preserves the great camera mi 8 lite has?

Like any miui device if you want the best your camera offers you need miui. Custom miui roms will provide the best compromise. If you want aosp Havoc is available also but the maintainer builds and posts in his limited free time. So builds are a little behind source but for me havoc has what I want in an aosp rom.
There is fully working MIUI Camera port for custom roms. You can try one of many the most popular currently are Aosip and Pixel Experience. Roms are updated fairly regular but all the main notifications and changelogs are in telegram group. So join there if you want to be up to date and also if you need help you will get it faster than here. Btw for me best experience is Xiaomi EU stable rom, its MIUI without ads and bloatware. But its up to you to find what suits you best.

I'm using EvolutionX (march security patch) on my mi a3 but i read in the thread that the developer has abandoned the rom, so i m looking for a good rom to replace, one with equal features to Evox, i was thinking of derpfest OS but i Didn't find it for laurel sprouts

I'd recommend PixelExperience. It's the best one I've used, tho it has no customizations at all.
Wait till SyberiaOS gets an update and adds FaceUnlock as well.
Havoc OS
Try Havoc OS it's a really good rom with many customization features. But I did have some issues while installation.
If you don't want to install Havoc OS then I don't think that there are many roms that offer that mush customization.
You can try Syberia OS but I haven't tried it so I can't say anything about it.
I tried miui.eu 11.2 beta from bitnet , it is very pretty and the best of all, but haven't OTA update you must download update manually and flash it with TWRP.
You can try SyberiaOS it is very nice and closest to EvoX.
Havoc os is nice too, but haven't ota update you must flash it with TWRP.
