Android 12, folder recovery - Huawei Mate 20 Pro Questions & Answers

Hello all! I am on android 12, Huawei mate 20 pro. I accidentally deleted a folder under Total Commander. The device is not rooted. Any way to get back that files somehow? I tried Dumpster and a lot of recovery program, but those can't see that files.
If I can unlock and root am I able to get back that folder?

How can i root my prestigio PMP5080B Android Pad on gingerbread 2.3.1

Help!!
i been surfing the internet trying to find a way of how i can root my device. so far ive had on luck. i have tried gingerbreak but i don't think this has even worked. does anyone have any ideas of how you could root this particular device. if you have any suggestions or know how you can, i would be very grateful.
HOWTO - root PMP5080B
There is a way to root the tablet.
But it it does not root the runnning version, it roots the update image.
So if don't have the most actual firmware try this:
(maybe you can flash the firmware even it is not newer, but i don't know how)
Todo (Windows PC necessary):
At first load the latest firmware and unzip it:
h t t p : / / w w w .prestigio.com/info/product/downloads?NODE_ID=61101103718510974&ITEM=110706112617507776
Download the Wendal tool:
h t t p s :/ / docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B8h...RjZjFmODdiZTQ1
Then follow this steps:
1. Unzip the Wendal tool, you get a folder named "RK29xxImagetools_v2.1".
2. copy the update.img from Prestigio firmware download in the "RK29xxImagetools_v2.1" folder and rename the file to "wendal.img"
3. start "Runme.bat"
4. press "1", you get the message that you have to rename your file. Since you have already done this before proceed. The batch file starts, make sure you dont see any errors.
5. press "2" followed by "Enter". The rootet image will be created automatically
6. end the programm with "3"
7. in the "RK29xxImagetools_v2.1" you will find a file named "wendal-new.img", copy it to your SD card and rename it to "update.img".
8. put your SD card in your tablet, you will get a message to update your firmware
9. the tablet reboots, flashes the new firmware
10. be happy with your root access
Still having problems.
i have done what you said for me to do but when i rename the firmware to "wendal.img" and run it for some reason it keeps saying i haven't put the firmware in the folder when i have. do you know what how you can sort this out.
cheers
Did you unzip the firmware download?
Tried, tested & confirmed working
Just like to note that the software used will give you a warning about placing the update.img in the correct folder and renaming it even when it has already been done. You just have to press enter!
I have 5080B and i want to root it, but on ICS stock rom. Problem is, i cannot use wendal tools cause it can't add su and superuser.apk into /system ("no such directory") and even earlier i used to root gingerbread with these tools it is half-root - /system not rw, but superuser works
i saw update 2.0.2 from prestigio, pre-rooted, but i want to root this, newest version, 2.0.3
i have linux setup running and i tried mounting system.img but i can only add su, and nothing else cause there's no space...
also, how do i boot recovery from the device itself? i tried vol- and power key but there is an image of an 'destroyed' Android bot, no options there at all
Same problem - want root on Prestigio PMP 5080B
Just got a Prestigio PMP5080B running ICS 4 and want to root the tablet. I read from the preceding message that thhe method discussed here doesn't seem to work with it. Any ideas would be most welcomed here too.
By the way Hi!

If you can find one from a your rom on this site you could push through adb.. but if you can't then no.. With no custom recovery or back up of that file there is no way..
Do you have a way of refreshing your stock rom? If so do that
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
Yep, your choices are custom recovery (which also requires you to unlock your bootloader), and you can make a flashable zip with the services.jar file you need or reflash the entire stock rom. Lesson learned: don't make changes to the system without having a custom recovery and a backup.

Wiped the already installed OS in Huawei Honor 7(PLK-UL00) and cannot reboot

I rooted my phone, and then i was trying to flash a Marshmallow Rom. For this, i wiped my system, boot, dalvik cache, internal memory. I forgot to take a nandroid backup. For some reasons, there was some error in flashing that zip file, so i tried to reboot my phone normally and it failed. When i reboot my phone, the company logo appears and it remain sticked there. For now, i could only access the recovery and fastboot. Please HELP me..... Thank you.....
You got exactly same problem with me but i have model: Honor7 Premium (PLK-L01)
Hi,
what did you expect? If you wipe de system partition then obviously the operating system is gone.
What you need to do is to download the full stock rom of your phone somewhere on the internet (needrom.com for instance if available).
You need to take the closest version of your old system and also the same technical name (PLK-UL00).
For instant if you were already on Android 6.0, you can no longer use a stock rom of Android 5.x.
When you have that full stock rom on your computer, you need to use multi-tools and use the unbrick option. Meaning you will be asked to extract the most important img files from the stock rom and to put them into a specified folder. The tool will then restore that rom on the partition file.
Kind reg,
I had android lollipop 5.0.2. Is it possible that i install the backup file of any other person's honor 7 PLK-UL00 running same android?
Hi,
please have a look there and use the stock rom that fits with your model and version.

Kr,
how do i flash an UPDATE. APP file?
Create folder called dload on your SDCard and copy Update.app file to your SDCard inside that "dload" folder.
Then shutdown your device and use 3-Button method(Vol- & Vol+ & Power button) to boot that to recovery, that should start installing "recovery" file what is that Update.app inside dload folder.
Sent from my PLK-L01 using XDA-Developers mobile app
i don't know but the 3-button method is not working. When i do so, it boots to the recovery and nothing happens. Anyways, i have copied the dload folder with update.app file to the sdcard.
Use Multi-Tools available in the forum. There is a little app where you will be able to extract all required files from the file update.app.
Then in multi-tools use unbrick option and it will install the stock rom correctly. ++

Anyway to Clone a Rooted Android Tv Box?

I'm looking for a way to clone a Rooted android box to other android boxes. I want to clone my Tv launcher and apps plus settings.. I have tried a few programs Titanium backup but it seemed to back it up and restore fine but fails to recovery the settings for each app. If there is a faster way of doing this please let me know. The boxes are all different, but have the same processors s905x amlogic. Is there a way to make a IMG then use the usb burning tool to write to each box?
I Used Filezilla to grab files but it also fails to load all the files from the entire box?
Use twrp to create a image then flash that image to the other
I'd agree with Bcoates84, I've been testing out the process of cloning some Samsung tablets by simply restoring TWRP backups and so far everything's worked out pretty well.
It would be a good idea to backup the target ones just in case before trying it since you mentioned they are different boxes.
If you look up TWRP for your specific model(s) there should be some good information to get you heading in the right direction.
So i have done my backup on the box i want to clone, ill call it A-box. I got a Folder called TWRP/Backups With a few files
Boot.emmc.win
data.ext4.win000
data.ext4.win001
data.info
recovery.log
system.ext4.win
system.info
I plugged the stick into the box i want to clone, ill call it b-box went to restore this time and it fails to see the backup?
So I copied the TWRP folder with it's contents this time to my desktop and deleted the TWRP folder from the USB stick. Decided to do a Backup on b-box even know i didn't need the backup just wanted the folder structure to compare the two which i then got.
Boot.emmc.win
data.ext4.win
data.info
recovery.log
system.ext4.win
system.info
So I removed all the FILES from the usb only leaving the folder structure TWRP/BACKUP/SERIALNUMBERS I'm guessing? Also the p212-userdebug_6.0.1 folder. Then copied my files from A-box into the file structure and went to do a restore and it sees the image! Restore went smooth, went to reboot and it's stuck on android splash screen for 30mins now so guessing it's bricked. I can flash stock img back thats not a issue. Just trying to figure out how to clone this damn thing lol.
Is there anyway to simply make a Img so i can flash it via the amlogic usb burning tool. I saw this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2746044 which i can extract the system.ext4 seeing all the system files, fast_preinstall, addon.d, app, bin, fonts, usr ect... But i don't see boot.emmc.win anywhere? I'm assuming this methods for phones only?

[problem] Phone stuck in a bootloop after editing build.prop (rooted with custom rec)

Dear fellas,
I replaced my build.prop file to an another one and my phone is not booting up anymore.
I have a rooted Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, with custom recovery.
Can anyone advise what to do without wiping the phone completely and flashing a new ROM?
What I've tried doing:
- I had the original build.prop that the phone had before it got stuck.
- I used the file explorer in custom recovery, copied that file to the system folder in root.
- Rebooted the device, still no luck!
- After rebooting, when I reopen the recovery, and navigate to the system folder again, I don't find the file I copied to the system folder!
Any thoughts on the matter please? Thanks in advance!
Have you tried writing original Rom to the phone. Don't have much experience with that kind best I can suggest

Try mount system read/write first then copy og build prop file in system partition and reboot or use aroma file manager.
