Is it possible to oem unlock and flash this tablet?
Currently it is build T827VVRS2BRJ1 (Oreo) from back in 2018.
Combo firmware that would work?
Thank you!

Hey
the engineering bootloader has been leaked a while ago, and, from what I understand, it is based on 5.0.2
If you want to downgrade a 5.1.1 device, downgrades aren't possible due to restrictions in the new bootloader of 5.1.1.
Now, theoretically, is it possible to flash the engineering bootloader (to change the 5.1.1 bootloader) and after that flash a stock 5.0.2 rom with odin to downgrade?
The bootloader has been changed, so the restrictions should be gone, or am I missing something/misunderstood something?
Greetings from Austria!
Hi,
I brought redmi 3 from someone this evening and im having trouble already at unlocking bootloader. First of all here is my device information:
Model number: Redmi 3
Android version: 5.1.1 LMY47V
Android security patch level: 2016-04-01
Miui version: MIUI Global 7.3 | Stable 7.3.2.0.0(LHPCNDD)
Baseband version: M8936FAAAANUZM-1.41886.1_V011
Kernel version: 3.10.49-perf-g6241083
I notice one thing after enable developer option and tick enable oem unlock i dont get option for unlock status. So i try to flash global developer rom with miflash (fastboot) but it give me an error. I try update rom from updater app but no success either. Please tell me how to do this. Or do i have to wait for a sms conformation from xiaomi? Sorry for my bad english.
If you want to unlock bootloader officially, you need to be on official rom, either dev rom or stable rom. Your current rom aren't official, its a fake vendor rom. You need to flash official rom from edl mode using miflash before attempting unlocking bootloader the official way.
But if you want to unlock the bootloader unofficially, just flash a modified bootloader from here in edl mode using miflash. No need to be on official rom, no need to request for unlock permission, no need to wait for sms confirmation.
Depends on you which route you want to take.

Hello,
I have tried Funkyhuawei and since it is not the stock build, I cannot UNLOCK it with my previous number.
Can someone help me with an unofficial way to open the bootloader ?
Thank you,
Ldes.
I found the answer : The way to unlock the OEM on this rom was to uncheck the OEM unlock box. The old password then works.
Hello,
is there someone who managed to officially unlock his or hers "kate" device with Marshmallow. I was using LineageOS with official BL unlock, but done on LP, and after 03/05 LOS update, my phone stopped booting LineageOS. I tried installing the latest firmware and the phone's bootloader relocked. Since then I've been trying every possible version of MIUI with the hope that I'll be able to associate my device with my account and officially unlock, but no luck so far. That happened a month ago.
Is there some way to unlock the device officially and if so, how? I even put chinese dev rom from kenzo, just replaced the NON-HLOS from a kate so I have a working modem and WiFi. No luck too.
I'm willing to unofficially unlock, as long as I know that I can use the latest LineageOS.
Any help is welcome. Thanks.
I have never had any luck with the official unlock on my Kate.
In case you haven't seen it try this guide to unofficially "unlock" https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/kate-guide-install-lineage-os-locked-t3546154
All you have to do is replace recovery.img in a MIUI Fastboot IMG with TWRP and flash through MiFlash.
Hello!
I recently bought the 8" M5 without realising the hoops I'd have to jump through to unlock the bootloader.
After getting lucky and being able to downgrade to FW163 I have successfully unlocked the bootloader and I've been running a treble rom. Yesterday I wanted to try out an OpenKirin rom, so I flashed the stock EMUI 8 firmware in order to then flash the OpenKirin rom.
After flashing stock I realised my bootloader was relocked - not a big issue as I still had the unlock code and I was still on FW163.
My question is - if I upgrade to EMUI 9 ota will this relock my bootloader the same as manually flashing 163 did, and if so, will I still be able to unlock on higher FW versions since I already have the unlock code? As far as I'm aware the issue we were faced with was actually obtaining the unlock code after official support ended, so in theory now that I have the code I should be able to unlock on any firmware, right?
Thanks!

Theoritically said, yes, because the xloader have those kind of hexes that stay the same even after updating the firmware and the xloader and as additional info, I'm now on Omnirom for EMUI 9 vendor from Openkirin team and I can download the EMUI from eRecovery without getting my bootloader locked
