Hello, my mother have a mi 8 lite.
It was discharging very fast and charging very slowly.
I tought it was battery and replaced with a new one.
It now discharge normally, but still charge very slow.
So my guess is that the charging circuit is dead, which killed the old battery too.
Do you know if I replace just the charging connector circuit, that could fix the issue ?

Or can the problem be somewhere else, like on the motherboard ?
Thanks and regards

My XDA always shows a battery charge state of 100%. I think this is the reason, why it never start charging. I' ve just bought a new battery but it works the same way. If I remove the battery and charge it with a simple charger circuit, then XDA works for a normal period of time.
Can anybody help me? I realy love this PDA.
Could be the logic onboard the battery has a problem.
It can't be because I've just bought a new battery which does the same thing. Can it be the rsustack? I changed it but can't remember if it works badly since then.
Hi. For those who had the same kind of or similar problem with charging. Finally I made a charger that connects to the external battery connector. Now it works fine. The only thing is that I'm not notified when battery is low. Summary: Wallaby can be charged from the back connector.
One more thing. This solution is realy very very ugly, but it's very cheap and is working.
Hello,
I live in Australia and bought my I9300 from HONG KONG.
I had this charging issue from 2 weeks ago and I've searched many thread about i9300 charging issues.
Today I decide and just sent my s3 to repair shop and I asked them about change of charging port of my s3.
1. Sometimes my s3 charging alright but not fast as before it depends on time like 1% per 4 min or 1% per 9min. Sometimes not charging just discharging while A/C charger connected.
2. The charger as usb line + wall charger works alright without disconnect problem (but charge speed was slow).
3. The charger as like wall charger just line with wall charger not usb. (disconnect if connect wall charger)
I'm really confused this problem was related with hardware or software.
I'm not sure if the charging port replaced will solve the problem.
Please give me opinions.
Thank you for read and sorry for my English.
Regards,
Jin
First try to turn off your device and connect it to the wall charger, the device should start recharge without starting the android os.
second, is the wall adapter getting extremely hot while charging slowly?
third, try to charge with your computer usb port.
fourth, try to find someone with different phone and use his battery for a day. is it the same?
if you know a bit electronics, i suggest you to check your battery voltage using AVO-Meter, if it much lower then it should be (written on the battery itself) it means that somehow your battery reached end-of-life (maybe you bought used one?)
Thanks for reply.
I've already tried my sister's battery, too.
So I know the problem was not related with battery life.
This problem make me headache everyday.. I'm bit worried about phone repair will be completed well because I have to pay money...
PS: I have custom rom foxhound 4.1.2 jellybean ver. and I already downgrade to ICS Omega rom previous time. And this problem first happened when I used ICS Omega Rom.. so confused about hardware or software problem.. I just woke up 2 hours ago and can't go to sleep because very worried about repair phone thing..
if your concern is about software why wouldn't you just flash the phone stock rom? do you have any backup?

You should use the original moto charger. Might be that yours faulty, should get a new one.
Also, once let the battery discharge completely. Then turn it off and give it a full charge.
After that, try keeping your battery between 20%-80%..And once in a while, do that full discharge-charge cycle.
ok will try to find exactly same charger, didn't know that little bit different charger can make problems...
I always discharging my phone to 15-20% and than charging...
Will try to charge when is off as you said as well...
thanks,
siamer

Hi,
I'm trying to charge my phone but I'm getting an error "charging paused, battery temperature too low", I replaced the charging port but still same error, wireless charge is giving same error.
Any help
Maybe the battery or the cable connected to the battery to the motherboard is loose.
Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
I replaced the battery and the charging port but still the same issue, I noticed that on TWRP the temperature of the CPU is fine but on the system is -20C, any suggestion
is there any way to charge the battery outside the phone?
is there any way to change battery temperature on system, so that way maybe the phone will charge
I'm interested on this one... I know its old but just happened to me. Did anybody fin a way around this? Maybe a battery temperature spoof app?
I've had my phone for 18 months now and the charging port was temperamental and the battery wasn't holding charge very well.
I've just replaced both the battery and the charging port board and the phone is unbelievably hot, even before plugging a charger in. The phone did power up and battery settings showed the temp as 30c which is obviously wrong and has now powered itself off.
Anyone have any idea why this might be? Have I inadvertently damaged something?

These temperature of the sun is 5500°, I doubt your phone gets that hot.
Maybe you simply bought a bad battery?

Good point, I didn't take the temperature. Maybe I was over exaggerating......................
I didn't get a chance to update this thread last night but it seems to be an issue with the new charging board. I swapped back to the old battery and that did the same thing. Then put the old charging board back in and the temperature was fine.
Currently running phone with new battery and old charging board with a tempremental port.
