Hi people,
probably a totally stupid idea but does anyone know if this would maybe be possible to build and compile android go for the x10 mini?
its an old phone but it’s still pretty cool due to its unique size. So I was thinking maybe the optimisations made with GO would help the x10 be able to run more up to date firmware that can install apps etc now still.
I have been out of the android scene for a very long time now so forgive me if this is a stupid question
From Android 5.0 the ART environment is used
ART is not compatible with ARMv6 processors (MSM7227 found in Xperia X8 and X10 MIni is ARMv6)
So we can conclude that higher Android 5.0 will not work on Xperia X10 Mini and X8.
We won't even see the Launcher as it uses ART to run.

So, I'm sure I'll get ripped to shreds here if there does exist such a thread already, but I've searched high and low and cannot find anything about this yet...
I have an xperia x10 running the stock 2.1. all indications were that with the 2.1 update was supposed to be some variation of the remote play app.
i am a bit frustrated with finding out what happened with this. even using 3rd party apps (twonky, iMediashare, etc) cannot play videos remotely from ps3, whereas my sony ericsson elm could...not even a smart phone?!
If anyone has any information on this would be greatly appreciated!
It does make me wonder why people start their threads [Q] but don't think to post it in XPERIA X10 Q&A.
I think DLNA will be available in the next update. how i know? well... in the new firmware .435 in the mediascape if you long press a track an option pops up shaowing to 'play on phone'. This shows there will be option to play on DLNA enabled devices as well.
Can i just ask what is DLNA? and what is it used for?
thanks

Interesting about mediascape. Honestly hadn't used it to play media very much. Mostly use Zimly. I guess the most frustrating part is that I keep seeing the x10 popping up in reviews listed with dlna as a "feature" but have yet to see it implemented by sony. I know it's possible, just wish it was something they cared enough about.

Hi,
I have moved forward from X10 Mini to Nexus 4.
Mini is still working rock solid with MiniCM10 and nAa JB 5 kernel.
I am not willing to put down this device, thus thought why not convert this device as Media Player (iPod) as well as can use it as second camera and backup phone.
This primary usage will be as Media Player. Hence kindly suggest following
1. A good Media Player app for Mini
2. How can i cut down the memory load to give lag free experience in media player.
3. Suggest some light weight launcher, or how can i make media player to comeup as default instead of launcher.
Is XBMC a good option?
Kindly pour in your suggestions.
Thanks
Viny

Hi everyone!
I am wondering...
I want to use my android smartphone as webcam for my android tablet? but without using the internet (so no ipcam, no videocall between devices...)
IS THAT even possible? there must be a way, isnt it?
Like the go pro cameras: You can connect to them from your android tablet via wifi connection. So in your tablet you see all what go pro is seeing. I just want to do that, but using my android phone instead of a go pro camera.
Am I asking something that nobody has done before?
Thanks!!!!
in my case, my android phone is a sony xperia z5compact. and my android tablet is a samsung tab s 10.5
