i have a gt-i9003 running on gingerbread.DDMF1 v2.3.6
:crying:my baseband version is unknown, imei unknown, imeisv is unknown..
search the phone for the efs file which is not to be seen... what do i do..pls help urgent..:crying:
P.S. i dont have the file efs..nor do i have a copy of it.. not even nav_data.bin my bad... im a complete noob.. please guide me step by step

I was updating my galaxy s3 gt-i9300 from version 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 but i used differenrt csc firmware.my original firmware is for france XEF.i update using iraq firmware MID .i ended up with not registered on network problem and sn 0000000 and original imei no.i searched for solution and found
ARIZA PATCH WHICH SOLVED my problem completetely.then i tried to update my firmware using original france XEF firmware 4.1.2 xxemg4 and then v4.3 XXGNB2 OF france XEF.this firmware (xxemg4 or xxgnb2) converted my efs partition to v2 .i tried several solutions (ARIZA PATCH AND ZULUMAN PATCH) BUT ALL FAILED TO SOLVE MY PROBLEM(NOT REGISTERED ON NETWORK PROBLEM).THEN I DISCOVERED that v2 efs firmware does not recognize patched modems or basebands(as if they recognize the change in pattern in modem.bin and inhibit modem loading).so i decided to downgrade to v1 efs firmware (i used xxemf6 firmware from iraq),then i patched v2 efs modem (xxemg4) using zuluman patch and then flashed the patched modem using cwm recovery install zip.this v1 efs firmware (xxemf6) recognize this patched modem.bin and does not inhibit modem loading.at last my problem is solved.ariza patch or patching v1 efs modems does not work with efs v2 .if you have efs v1 backup you can recover efs v1 and then downgrade the firmware to v1 efs firmware and the use ariza patch or zuluman patching v1 efs modems and flash the patched medem.please refer to xda forums for details and downloads.

What if you have no EFS backup??
Hello to everyone.
I hope i have posted in the right section.
I need info regarding the following situation:
i have a I9300 wich had 4.1.2 and was unlocked by software because it was EFS V1.
Because i didn`t made the proper digging i updated it to the original firmware af android 4.3 with Odin.
After flash i gor the unregistered sim network...because the EFS updated to V2. afterwards flashed again to 4.1.2 original and tryied to unlock using root,busy box and galaxsin unlock but due to EFS V2 didnt work.
Unfortunately i didn`t made backup to EFS V1 before update and now the IMEI shows 0049 (test imei).
The question is: the only way to solve this issue is going to a service center, recover original IMEI and unlock by Imei using pro tools or there is another way?

using zuluman`s patched kernel and modem, using original 4.3 firware from UK....and only with this firmware

So basically i want to downgrade my SGS3 to 4.0.4 because reason but when i install official 4.0.4 my imei goes 0049xxxx no signal etc but when i flash stock 4.3 or 4.1.2 imei comes back signal comes back and phone works perfectly can anyone help me with that ?:good:
No, you can't downgrade unless you have an efs backup from before EMG4 firmware.

can someone help me how to restore imei/serial number and baseband
i tried using sn writer tool but i dont have the database (APDB and BPLGUI)
does anyone know how and where do i get it
