Or any other advice is welcome
Thanks

thanks for your reply. The reason I want to try another ROM is because I used a Xperia 1 II (docomo, 1 SIM) before which I disabled the "suspend execution for cached app" in developer option in order to prevent browser from being auto-reloaded. However, that setting has no effect for my current Xperia 5 III (dual SIM, XQ-BQ52). They both have 8GB RAM, 128GB ROM, running on A12 but different Build number. So, I guess there are some differences in ROM setting by manufacturer.
Are you aware of this issue and any suggestion for me? I rooted my X5III by magisk and using many apps like Root booster, Ram manager, 3C toolbox, Swapper... but no help at all
Thank you in advance

Hello everybody,
My name is Leandro, I live in Argentina, so my english is not good enough I've a Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini ST15
Today I was experimenting with mi phone but I make a terrible mistake.
Let me tell us in order what happend:
- I had ParanoidAndroid 2.53 with some bugs tippical of a beta edition
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1963556
- I decided to back to ICS. I installed Cyanogen Mod 10 FPX 150
https://sites.google.com/site/projectfreexperia/download/cyanogen-mod-10
However I don't fell confortable without a sock camera
- I download and install (with all the wipes) XPERIA Ultimate HD
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1991371
It doesn't come with the "boot.img" so I download KernelPanic 1.25v (I put into my phone via Fastboot)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1861905
HOWEVER I didn't notice when I installed the new rom, the device I'd selected wasn't mine (I make that terrible mistake)(I'd selected "LVW" or something like that)
- When I ran the new ROM, the touchscreen didn't work but all the buttons worked fine. :crying:
- I tryed to back to the Official ROM via Flashtool, but the touchscreen continued with this issue
- I reinstalled the XPERIA Ultimate HD choosing correctly but didn't work
I asked to some people, but they don't know about Sony devices.
If someone knows something to do I will apreciate too much.
Thanks in advance!

Yes, as I said in the begining, the first thing I do when this issue appear is flashing the official gingerbread rom and also tried with the ice cream sandwitch rom.

There you have it! If you know what you've done wrong the do it the right way! Re flash the Rom(and Kernel if you want) properly by choosing the right phone model this time!

obviously, I did that as I write in the begining, that's why I don't understand the problem, because I did all the wipes, put the same rom in the correct way, put another rom, the official rom, but, nothing happends, it's the same.
It's like I "change" an internal driver that the following instalations doesn't modify.
Did you format system partition before trying to reflash other roms?
Anyhow the touchscreen driver is in system/etc folder, the name is touch_nameofdevice.hex, if you push that file from a rom for your device and the hw_config.sh it should fix it

I format my phone via CWM y choose "format system", "format cache"
it's too strange for me, I think it's related with my bad choose that I write in the begining, but it must be a solution

Try this:
1. Download that
2. Open the zip and replace all files in the bin folder with files for your device (!), for example from a custom rom for xperia mini
3. After pushing files for your device in there, pack the content again (the meta-inf folder and the bin folder)
4. Copy this to sd card and flash it with cwm
5. This could work, but I can't promise anything
Hope you will get a working touch screen again!

Tnk You I've found my missing parts..even if they are for Xperia Ray...I just need the built in video now :good:
I have Recently obtained and rooted a Double Power (DoPo) TD-1010 Tablet running ICS.
As it is a generic Chinese RK3066 tablet, I have not seen much support for it here.
I would like to know how to extract the necessary files needed to create a stock ROM for this device, in the event that I brick the device.
If all goes well, I plan to release the ROM, as there have been a select few others in need of it as well.
You have to be running on a Linux distro and use a tool called rkflashtool in conjunction with a script that will backup the .img's from your nand.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1286305
The script is called simpledump.sh you will also need to compile a file called mkkrnlimg.c
These have to all be in in your usr/bin folder in Linux, your $Path.

goodnight friend. I need the ROM of TD-1010 dopo tablet. already have? I can send it. thanks.
I have the rare projector phone Samsung Galaxy Beam GT-I8520 (the first version). It was only released in Singapore, for a limited time, back in 2010.
Unfortunately, Samsung decided not to upgrade the 2.1 Android version of the phone to 2.2 due to the rarity of the device.
Since then, Samsung launched a new, international, version of the concept with the same name in 2012, but with different hardware and the product code GT-I8530. It was launched with Android 2.3 and has gotten upgrades to Jellybean.
I was wondering if I could somehow upgrade (port?) a firmware(ROM?) for my I8520 using a firmware(ROM?) for I8530?
They have the same resolution and both use ARMv7 instruction set.
Thank you!

you can compare with other devices too select the best one that suits your phone and port the rom from that device

yea it is a good guide but I think it is copied from xda
for everything you will get answers from xda so why are you searching for another ones
and after building you should debug to find if there any error exists don't know much about that
anyways check here all you need is there
and search in xda and post in rom building section about rom porting questions
you should be debugged and use emulater to find out any error before flashing it into your phone
I have now downloaded a rom for I8520 and one for I8530.
But they do not contain the files I'm supposed to edit. One is called I8520DXJI1.rar and contains a file called SS_DL.dll and a .tar file containing these files:
cache.rfs
modem.bin
ramdisk.img
system.rfs
userdata.rfs
zImage.img
The other, I8530XXLK1_NEELK1_Nordic_Android_2.3.6.zip, also contains a file called SS_DL.dll and a .tar.md5 file.
What should I do with these? Do I need some other kind of roms?
