Ghost touch when brightness is set beyond a level - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Questions & Answers

Hi everyone, I noticed there's ghost touch on my S9+ whenever the brightness is set beyond a level, especially when it is brightened up therefore I have to keep the brightness at a minimum level. I doubt it is a software or OS issue as changing the OS did not help. It started with a yellowish, flickering screen even during boot up. With the PWM free app installed, it helps with the yellowish, flickering screen issue. I would like to know if there is a workaround so I can brighten up the screen.
Thank you.

[Q] Screen flickers when manually set to low brightness?

Hi everyone, i would like to know if this happens just to me or all of you out there.
today i noticed that my screen flickers when i set the brightness to low. it's very noticeable when i have the background set to light.
I tried restarting it, it was ok at first but after i opened a few programs then quit them by pressing the start button the screen started flickering again.
it seems like it flickers the most under heavy cpu or memory load, for example when moving between the tiles screen and the list screen or when i'm using the facebook app.
it's not a huge problem but it's very annoying..
Please leave some feedback about wether your phone is the same or not.. Thanks!
my Desire S flicker too when the brightness is low....

[Q] How to reduce minimum brightness in CM10?

Hi all,
I frequently use my phone at night in a pitch black room. It is therefore nice to have a very dim screen. The most I can dim it is not enough.
Yes, I know of programs such as ScreenFilter which provide a software overlay of the screen. But, that doesn't help battery life, and the screen is still emitting the same amount of light.
Is there a way to edit some build.prop setting or something to reduce the minimum brightness? I'm on CM10.1 if it matters.
Thank you!

[Q] Full Brightness waves

I am using z2 about 10 monts. Today i feel when i put mobile full brightness i observed some wave running from top to bottom. Specially observed when open NDR utility and es file explorer. Before appearing the both applications interface waves appear for instance. I am worried is it ok or some problem. And also today observed brightness bright more autometically, althoug i am on full brightness. Any help suggestion Thanks in advance
I've noticed the brightness change on its own too sometimes. I always use full brightness (adapt to lighting conditions disabled) and randomly, I'll notice my screen get brighter or darker sometimes. It's completely random, not sure what causes it.

Yup I have the exact same thing. Not sure if others have it as well, but as far as I'm concerned, it's normal (I hope)

Android 6.0 Adaptive Brightness Spiking and Dropping

I'm using a stock BLU R1 HD running Android 6.0 and within the last month, give or take, my phones brightness has randomly been spiking or plummeting before evening out into something legible. I also use Twilight(With pro unlock) and I have for years. I have disabled Backlight Control in the app. I have tried to go into my settings and disable Adaptive Brightness, but it will not stay disabled and turns itself back on as soon as I leave Settings. I've recently installed Lux but the problem persists. I've been googling it and all the responses I find are from 2015, give or take, and most apps regarding brightness have also not updated since around that time.
The frustrating part is that most of the time when it changes I'm not even moving and the light around me is not changing. The problem actually occurs more in normal, indoor lighting than it does in darkness or bright sunlight, and I've been careful not to cover the front camera, where I think the light sensor is, just in case I was the problem.
Does anyone know what I can do? How I can either fix Adaptive Brightness to stop randomly changing my brightness for sometimes 10 to 15 seconds before going back to where it should be, or how to disable Adaptive Brightness so it will stop turning itself back on?
I'd prefer not to root my phone, so please don't suggest it unless there really is no other option. I've ruined several phones that way in various ways and have concluded that rooting is just not for me.

[S9+] Auto-Brightness flickers in dark environments

Hello!
Can you guys test the auto-brightness in dark environments?
My screen flickers shortly before the auto-brightness function find the best brightness.
Unfortunately, I can´t make a video, because this is the only phone I have.
The screen don´t flicker everytime, only when the auto-brightness go under 20% and stops shortly before.
Is it a hardware issue, the new update or the software total. I have the S9+ since yesterday.
Do you have the "black crush" issue also?
I just tried it with mine, turning lights on and, off in a room with no windows (so completely dark when the lights are off). I don't notice an flicker on mine. The screen gradually reduces brightness, but seems to settle at the low level without any flicker.
Thanks for the replies.
I don´t have the balck crush problem. I tested it in Netflix.
The only problem is the flickering in auto-brightness mode under 10-20%.
It seems, the S9 Plus want to calibrate the brightness and after a few seconds the backlight don´t fllickers.
I tried to find a video in youtube, I can find 1-2 similar videos but not the exactly problem.
