I accidentally skipped restore when I was setting up a new phone
Is there any way I can still restore wifi passwords and other data that was backed up to my Google drive?
Back up or restore data on your Android device - Android Help
You can back up content, data, and settings from your phone to your Google Account.

Is there any way to manage the Google Android Backup System? There are some apps from the market that I don't want to be automatically restored when flashing a rom+gapps. I would like to manage the information it contains.

So for awhile now, Google backs up your apps and data and will restore that when you log back in.
I can't seem to find any information as to what exactly they save. Do they save app data, system settings? What is actually saved? Does it know my stuff by device? Will it try to install my apps from my Phone onto my Nexus 10?
Google can backup your setting (ex: wifi pass...)
Previously, extracting an android id from a nandroid backup was simple with Nandroid Manager. However, something has changed in Marshmallow, and it no longer works. I need to put the android id of my Nandroid backup into my current Android Marshmallow build otherwise a restore of my Spotify backup won't work (Spotify uses the android id), meaning I will have to download 18gb of offline music again. I could backup my current OS and restore my nandroid to get the android id but before that, I was wondering if there is a more simple way? Cheers in advance.
I'm trying to preserve my shazams when moving from one android phone to another. Tried making an android backup and perform adb restore on the newer, but my shazamed songs are not preserved.
Anybody could get it to work?
It has the app flag ALLOW_BACKUP on android 6.0 and onwards. In any case, you can sync your songs registering with an email and your shazams will be synced between different android and ios devices.
i did a fresh reset in recovery mode. had to bypass allowing restore during initial setup after reset due to screen lock pin error.
Can't get the restore backup to add to my phone from google drive. What am i doing wrong?
It seems like the old backup to be used to restore is blockng the new initial setup on the phone from creating a new backup....which is good because i want to restore that old back from yesterday . it was before i did a fresh reset.
Phone is activated on the same google account that the backup is stored on in google drive. 2 factor is turned off.
according to this tutorial, If i skip restoring during initial setup i should get a notification to continue finish setup....i have not (3+hrs)

Some of the contacts have been added back to the phone automatically somehow and 52 of the apps are showing as installed in google play out of 105 apps total not sure how they got here as the restore has never happened.
In the past the apps were placed back on the homescreen where they belong when a restore was done, that did not happen yet. Is it supposed to?
When i go into backup in settings it says that it is already on and waiting to backup?
Support told me to try to turn it off and then on again but that triggers a warning telling me that it will delete the backup permanently that i want to restore from google drive.
