Question Slow charging after update to RMX2202_11_C.17 - Realme GT

Hello, has anyone else noticed a drop in the charging speed after updating to RMX2202_11_C.17 the June security update.
Charges a lot slower around 1800mA instead of a Max of 4800mA before.

I also have slow charging on my Realme GT 5G after the C.17 update a few weeks ago.
The slow charging affects all my charges except the Realme stock 65W Dart charger that still charges very fast.

Fastcharge issue

I've got an E5823 which should support Qualcomm® Quick Charge 2.0. (9V 2A)
I've bougt a Aukey PA-U28, which is Qualcomm certified.
Charging my phone with it is significantly faster, but here is the crux:
Drainage is at least twice as fast as normal, under these circumstances, quickcharge is complete bs for me.
Is someone else experiencing the same issues?
Edit: my phone also gets very hot during and after charging.
I don't think I have this issue.
I've been using the same Aukey charger for a few months and my battery it's really fine for the usage I give to the phone.
If I had to compare it with the stock one (used just the very first days) I'd say there is not difference in battery draining.
Now, regarding battery charging time. I don't know if QC is being used at the maximum level. I made a test last week to see how much time it takes to charge:
12:15 - 4%
13:15 - 79%
13:37 - 94%
14:00 - 100%
I'm not a quick charge expert, but I think we should ignore the last ten. Because from 90% to 100% i'm pretty sure QC does not exist, to prevent battery damage.
Considering this, do you think QC is working fine here? Or it's just using "1.5 or 2A" regular charge?
I've got the same aukey charger, it is probably about 25 minutes faster for a full charge. If I remember right it was 1hr50 aukey and,, 2hr15 sony

download amps app and check current rating feed to your phone, fast charge > 2500 mA, if lower, try change your charger.

After the update mine also shows 3hr's to charge and slowly charging. I brought the phone 10 days back and updated to this 9.6.25 a week and facing this problem.
Have no problem at all with Poco f1 Miui 9.6.25. Charging time is around 1hr 45 to 2 hrs if not mistaken.

Try to charge below 50% from current battery level.my stock charger rating 5V 2.5A..can get around 2.2A reading from app.
Its starts slower then it gets faster , from 10% to 100 % in under 2h , so its working properly.

Don't worry its just a software issue I just flashed the miui 10 beta Rom and now everything is fine it shows the QC logo also
Me too facing the issue. In the screenshot, charging at 18% and showing 920 mAh
Me too facing the same issue and i am on Miui 9.6.25 as well.
I just had a chance to check it, as I recently upgraded to 9.6.25. Well, no changes for me - there is QC icon next to the battery and Ampere shows current reaching 2900 mA.

You guys don't use the search function on the thread and just keep on making new threads about the same issue.
It has been well documented now that the charging slows due to thermal throttling. The hotter the phone the slower the charging. If anyone wants to test this, charge your phone for 5 mins before an air conditioner and measure the charging speed using the app called 'Amps'.
You should see the charging speed at around 2700-2800mah provided your phone temperature is quite low.
Otherwise, take a chilled watter bottle from your fridge and pour it generously on a towel. Now place your phone on that towel and charge you phone. As soon as the temperature starts falling to around 32-34 degree celsius, the charging speed will increase.
This is built in safety feature. The charging slows when the battery temperature is around 36-37 degree celsius as per my observations.
Cool you battery to around 30 degrees using any method you can and then check the charging speed.
Not your charger, not your cable...its mostly the charging algorithm with built in thermal thresholds which is at play here.
DO TELL ME YOUR TEST RESULTS.
I just found this thread - I have similar problem but it's rather not connected with temperature.
After one of software updates I discovered that quick charge is not working. Maybe it wasn't connected with update but this is how I see this.
I was waiting for software updates and hoping that they will fix my problem but nothing was changing.
Recently I decided that maybe factory reset will help, but unfortunately no.
After this reset I was checking many chargers and it appeared that with laptop charger (with USB C output) quick charge works! I was checking parameters in application 'ampere' and there is information that this charger is AC, and rest is USB. So it looks like QC works but....
Please help, how can I make quick charge works again via standard quick charge charger.

I want to clarify that my Poco on fully stock 11.05 charges as fast as any previous version of MIUI.
I take care of my battery. Charge till 80 and never let or go below 20.
If you can maintain the variables, and it still charges slow then you have issues with battery IC or the battery itself.
The highest I got without ceiling fan and without ac is 1590 mA. Maybe I got higher other times but I installed the app just for this post.
Don't rely on software reporting.
Do you have a multimeter?
Ambient temperature plays a HUGE role when it comes to battery, even if it's 1 degree more or less.

Overheating after Update

Hello my S9+ started to heat so much. About 1-2 weeks ago I upgraded to android pie and after that its startes to heat. When I charge to phone its going up until 50°C and ita stops charging. Its not fast charging. Even now when Im charging and using its 45°C.
What should I do? How can I fix this? Its scary that its heating so much. I tried safe mode to be sure about application problem but its still heating in Safe mode too.
Hard reset bro. Give it a try!
its still heating and fast charging seems to be not workinf because there is no estimated time when charging and accubattery shows low mA when charging

Always warm with wireless charging?

Anyone else using wireless charging find that their s9+ is always warm when you pick it up now that android 9 has arrived? Even if the green light has been lit for a long time claiming it is fully charged, it still is always warm when I pick it up now. It never seemed this way on android 8 (in fact the phone often made me wonder how it managed to feel colder than ambient when I picked it up previously).
Every phone gets warm when wireless charging, the s9 has 10 watt quick wireless charging so it'll get even warmer than when charging at 5 watt.
But I have the exact same s9+ and Pleson fast charger I had before the android pie update, and it is always warm now, even when it claims to have been fully charged an hour or two ago. The only thing different is android 9 installed.

S20+ 5G In car wireless charging.

Sorry to be a nuisance, but I have a Baseus wireless charger installed in my car and all was fine and it did fast charging until it downloaded the UI 3.1 update.
Now the phone comes up with a ! in a battery saying that fast charging is not supported with this charger, so am a bit confused what's happened or changed, I like the fast charging aspect of it as it can put a good dollop of power into the phone on the way to work and I can also put Bluetooth on to link it to my car.
If it can no longer do this then I will need to change the charger.
So if this is the case, could somebody please recommend a fast wireless in car charger that will work with my S20+ 5G.
Thank you.
Interesting. I can't imagine wireless fast charging can be very fast, I was surprised to see the term.
Even Samsung talks about it albeit with no specs.
Samsung is historically notorious for bending the truth one way or another... you need to really scrutinize them carefully.
I wonder how "fast" it is compared to conventional fast charging with the 25w brick?
Apparently you're not alone and to make matters even worse the issue means no wireless charging at all to many of the effected users.
Samsung phones are having problems with fast wireless charging
The issues may have started with a recent security update

Best work around probably is to use cable fast charging and go for frequent midrange (40-65%) quick charges that only take 10-15 minutes but give enough mAhs to last 2-3 hours of screen on time. Li batteries love to be used like this and it can greatly prolong their service life.
Temperature matters; the battery needs sufficient temperature to support the electrochemical reaction properly.
Never start a charge cycle if battery is at freezing.
Avoid doing so if the battery is below 60°F
Below 72°F Li plating damage during charging becomes an issue and if it happens will permanently damage the battery's capacity.
Best start temp range is 80-90°F.
Fast charging* will not engage if the battery temperature is too low or high (approximately 100°F or higher).
Will disengage if temp goes too high as well when charging; first fast charging then all charging once it gets to about 101°F or higher*.
Best charging temp range is 80-99°F
*these charge throttling/auto shutdown values will most likely apply to wireless charging as well.
Thanks for the quick reply.
It's just that I find it most odd that this has only started to occur after the latest update, prior to that no issues whatsoever.
All I know is that when I put my phone into the holder, the jaws close and it normally says Fast charging: xx% and a estimated time to full charge.
A typical fast charge takes about 15-18 minutes which takes it from ~90ish% to 100%, I like to have the phone up to full charge before I get to work as I never know when I might get another chance to charge my phone off the mains.
Another oddity is that I have a Spigen wireless desktop charger and that does a fast charge without any issues.

Updates... destroyer of worlds.
Hopefully they will correct it and push it out soon.
Try clearing the system cache.
Double check settings.
You can try a hard reboot (not reset).
The associated apks for it are probably in Android services but clearing its data would cause a lot of work resetting settings and may not help at all.
If you did a major firmware update ie OS upgrade a factory reset is a good plan, otherwise it's likely a waste of time.
I'm now even more confused, this evening I put the phone in the holster/charger and it instantly initiated fast charging and topped the phone up in 15 mins.
I've tried turning on WiFi hotspot, no change, WiFi on/off and it still charged at fast speed.
Turned Bluetooth on no change. So I don't know why it's doing what it's doing. Weird.
