I hope this is the right forum.
Been lurking for a long time. Next month I will need an app for my Casio BLE watch (not a smartwatch).
The app would require investigation on communication since I have no documentation.
I know it's possible because there already exist a few app that do that, however for different Casio model.
Where would you post such an offer?
I've tried fiverr, to no avail.

I never heard of them, but those watches seem pricey to me (and I hate wearing a watch).
Since you're talking about a specific model the developer would need one.
Now, if you had a case of these watches and you could trust somebody, then I'd say offering a watch to somebody to develop an app for it could work.
Still, to make a fancy app to your spec is a ton more work than knocking off some quick-and-dirty watch link.
Bluetooth can usually be pretty easy to reverse engineer, especially if you have a similar Android app to disassemble.

Hello!
I'm interested in a phone that, when requesting a certain service (confirmation service by photo of documents and a face), will not turn on the front camera for photographing a face, but will allow you to slip a pre-prepared video ... As I understand it, this can not be very difficult to implement? I heard that there are similar flashed phones ... Tell me which way to dig ...

Hi all
I am newish to the Android world but have been a programer in the embeded C world and before I start trying to resolve my issue I would like to know if I am just barking up the wrong tree.
I have been trying to replace a very old HP Ipaq 5700 that I use only for GPS purposes with something more modern and a larger screen for some time but although I got close it was not good enough as a replacement, the program I use is Memory map and their version for the Android platform was awful. I purchased a Ruggex Rhino two device that runs Lolipop 5.1 and got to the point where it would run the Memory map software and display the GPS data being sent from my Ublox GNSS receiver via bluetooth and it gave current location, but it was not good enough to use in the field. Memory map have now updated their program so it runs on Android, Windows and Linux and it is a much better user interface but requires Android 6 or later.
So having read about custom ROM's and getting Android updated is it possible to do this to any Android device such as my device bearing in mind it will only be used to receive a Bluetooth signal and run basic apps, no intention of fitting a sim as I need really good battery life.
If this is possible could someone please point me in the right direction, the device already has it's boatloader unlocked.
Thanks Roy

@Spectric2 No problem, Roy. It's good to have you onboard.
I just saw your post by accident. As I don't know how familiar you are with XDA, if you like to make somebody aware of your post you'd have to either mention that member or to reply to his post (what we also call to quote the member). I did both in my post above.
@sd_shadow explained it very nicely in his guide here:

I am new to the realm of Android and especially embedded style devices. I have not disassembled the device yet but I do have photos of the internals with high def photos of only a few devices. The platform is based on a Qualcomm WTR4095 (Transceiver), Qualcomm QFE4320(??), Qualcomm MSM8909 (Snapdragon 210), WCN3610(WiFi, Bluetooth, FM?). It seems similar to structure of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge from some light googling.
My problem is that the cellular service for this device is no longer supported. My question is, is the SIM data embedded in one of these chips? If it is, how would it be possible (if at all) to get this device working with a new cellular network plan. If the SIM data is not embedded what sort of device on the circuit should I look for and how would I rig in a new SIM?
Let me know if I need to fill in more information but this seemed to be the best place for me to start asking for some guidance on the road ahead!

No worries, thank you for moving it to the correct forum. I will review the guidances for future reference.
I wonder whether that could we receive satellite tv channels (c-band and so on) without any extra antenna and without internet only by 5G chipset reverse engineering ? If yes, As I am not programmer, would you please let me know how it would be possible to write and make driver and software for watching satellite tv on any Samsung android smartphone that you have it ?
Thank you very much.

I don't know if this post belongs here.
otherwise please move it
Today we had a nationwide security check in Germany.
The sirens wailed and notifications were sent to all mobile phones.
I don't know if I was the only one who had this phenomenon, but after I confirmed the message, my phone was unlocked.
Did other users also notice this?
My phone still has android 10
Am I just configuring my device wrong or is this a security hole?
