MINIX U22 XJ-Max ROM build help - Android Stick & Console AMLogic based Computers

Hi
Where are the sound kernels that controls hdmi, spidf, PCM etc folder located?
I put an old ROM from its old box (MINIX u22 xj-which has root) to it's new (MINIX U22 XJ-Max-which has no root).
except sound through HDMI/spidf does not work.
So I thought I can unpack/repack both ROMs and move the sound kernels/folder to get HDMI/Spidf sound working.
Thanks.

[Q]add flac support

Hello
I just searched for thread similar for this one, but noones cames to a conclusion.
I wanted to know if there is the possibility to add flac support in a custom rom (who doesn't support it, of course)
I think the possibilities are 2:
1) try to understand this post:http://the-b.org/FLAC_on_Android
it's very short I and do not have any idea what was made
2) copy the flac codec from the cyanogenrom and paste it in my rom, updating and hoping it works, but I have no idea where it is located (and under wich name) and which rom could be the best one for taking his codec...
could someone help me? I do not want adding a 2nd audio player (but I'll not change the default one because it is integrated with other programs of the phone) on my device, one is enough, but I also do not want to convert all my music files and have them twice...

Install Viper first (HiFi results), then Voodoo Sound from Play Store (Volumes increased), lastly, install Dolby Digital Plus (Surround Sound). These three will work great and will give you the best music experience everrrr!!!
problem installing viper4android HTC one max
im sure its great if it would install...
Really great, thanks
I'm trying to install V4A, but there is no "music effects" under sound settings. (also, i could not locate the specified lines under build.prop - but the instructions say to skip the step if i cannot find it).
I tried installing "MusicFX" via PlayStore as it was suggested as a solution in another thread, but I still don't have this setting option.
Any suggestions on how to fix it?
I try to install in on an S3 mini with this ROM:

I was trying o reply to another guys post but was redirected to here. I have the same problem the app was working great since July but then it lost its equalizer settings in google music player. I mean, the whole equalizer settings is grayed out when Bluetooth headset is connected. the sound from it now sounds horrible. i have tried to uninstall it and reinstall it. put it into fx compatibility mode . restarted everything it still is grayed out. how do i fix this. i have changed nothing on the phone. google music player updated and it was like this after that. the speaker and headphones work fine but the bluetooth headset sound doesnt work anymore..
That is right. The website is still down for some reason. Can someone please upload viper4 on the site?
I cant find modified kernel for nexus 4 lollipop to get V4A working.. this is the only reason i back to kitkat. anyone have link?

I have an issue... Sort of. V4A doesn't process the audio in tunein. Or an music oriented app must have an option that invokes the system audio processor in this case v4a, because tunein doesn't have a related option?
Awesome !!!
Hey! bro... I love this mod very much...
i got a Note 4, and have a similar problem, but mine is with Spotify. V4A was working perfectly on S4 same software versions for Spotify and V4A. I've been trying all sorts to get it to work, but no joy. The thing is it works fine on Google Music, so i know it works on the Note 4, just don't know why it doesn't work on Spotify.
i posted this issue on this thread, but no solution yet.

im hoping whatever solution you have to fix your problem, will fix mine too...
Thanks in advance!
I have a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Light SGH-T399, rooted, running Metro PCS SGH-T399N Kit Kat 4.4.2, Xposed and Wanum. I installed the latest Stericson Busy Box v1.22.1 to system/xbin and it works from Terminal Emulator. I installed VA4 to /system/priv-app and rebooted but VA4 reports a problem with busy box and cannot install drivers. Any suggestions welcome.
Main app page says use V4A FX v2.2.3.0 on android 2.3-4.4 and V4A XHIFI v2.1.0.2-1 on android 2.3-4.3. Is this still correct? Do I need to use FX on kit kat 4.4.2?

Looks like I needed version 2.3.3.0 because installed it, rebooted, and now I have V4A notification and the driver installed successfully. Rebooting...
No good, keeps asking to install driver after each reboot...
I'm not having any luck installing V4A on my Samsung, rooted, KK device. I get the install driver loop which has been attributed to an incomplete root. Can anyone recommend a similar or alternative app?
My stock player can't processing why? But mx player was working (viper 4antroid)
Does anyone here use DU v8.1 ?
Cuz on my phone (Lg G2) running that Rom I can't make v4a to process the sound.
Tried force enabling , moved as system app , locked the effect to headset , nothing works.
Any advices / solutions will be appreciated.

Make Stock ROM Sound better from a port ROM for same chipset.

My stock ROM sounds bad and weak through headphones/headset, even Sony MDR EX 750AP sounds bad with Dolby Atmos DSP.
But today I ported a lollipop ROM named FazFap Alpha, made for sc7731 chipset by replacing some necessary files from stock to port. ROM boots fine but then I got a touch error, than replaced system/usr folder from stock one, but I get a constant "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped " error with working touch. I don't want that ROM but that ROM sounds incredibly good through headphones. Is there any way I can extract the sound processor and sound configuration files from that ROM to my stock ROM and make it sound better ? Viper sounds good on my stock ROM, but that FazFap ROM was giving me kind of such HTC desire sound feel
You can modify the audio_policy.conf if you have root
It is really easy
Just need a root browser and texteditor(920texteditor from playstore)
Just found out there is a plugin in magisk that can edit the audio_policy.conf
Just flash it and done!
The plugin is called Audio Modification Library

Xperia Z2 Sound Problem on any Custom ROM

Hello,
I dont know how I should capture my problem so I will describe it:
When Im hearing music/watch videos or do anything where a sound gets played on a custom ROM I will be able to here a consistent rustle in the background. Quieter -> more rustle. Louder -> less rustle. When I use headset no rustle at all.
So thats my problem and NO my device is not broken! When I switch my ROM via backup its instantly fine again. I tested CarbonROM and Resurrection ROM when I use the stock 6.0.1 Firmware with root no problem at all.
Could be the problem because of Sonys Clear Audio feature? Should I backup to 6.0.1 again and disable it? What should I try? Help please

Hello,
It's releated with Drm functions and custom soundfx apks and libs that gets to work with DSEEHX, Clear Bass, audio-video encoder-decoders, not directly releated with clear audio. I advice u to use stock MusicFX and Sony stock Sound Enhacement patches shared in Cross platform section

I think that it is caused by DRC.
In /vendor/etc/audio_policy_configuration.xml, there may be a line containing 'speaker_drc_enabled="true"'. Edit the line to replace "true" with "false" and reboot. Then, deep compression on the sound output will go away.
Note: 'speaker_drc _enabled' contains 'speaker', but it affects all audio output, e.g. internal speaker, 3.5mm jack wired, buetooth and USB DAC (even using a proprietary driver) earphones, etc.
