Question Tab A7 lite (T227U t-mobile) strange startup - Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite

I have purchased several A7 lite devices that all boot to to the screen shown here. I have tried to up install the proper firmware with no change to the opening screen. When I click "Start" it asks for a SIM card to connect to the network. Any suggestions to getting these tablets back to the correct O/S?
Thanks, Tom

Hello friend, were you able to find a solution to this problem, I have the same problem as you, I need help! please.

I'm sorry but what is wrong with this screen? If it's a carrier locked T-Mobile a7 Lite it may need a sim to work.

I will tell you what happened to me, I bought a device on ebay, the model is sm-t227u from t mobile, the same as the image above, when I bought it it said that it was sold and it was unlocked, I was not at home when the package arrived, It took a long time to arrive and the return time passed, my surprise when I arrived and installed the chip is that it is blocked and does not let me pass. It only allows me to configure it by QR code for an organization.
My question is if I can pass the startup configuration without having to install the sim card, this is because I'm not in the USA right now.

The problem with configuring by QR code is that it has many limitations and it doesn't let me do almost anything, or delete anything, the apps that I install are deleted in a certain period of time.
Please if you can help me I would really appreciate it!

I purchased a T-Mobile Connect $!0.00 prepaid sim card inserted it and then went on line to T-Mobile to unlock the tablet. You have to be a customer for them to unlock it. They unlocked 4 tablets and I switched to Mint Mobile. The total price per device to T-Mobile was $10.00 plus tax for the plan (one month) and $10.00 charge for the sim. That was reasonable considering I got the 4 tablets for $52.00 each brand new.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S3 warranty, how to register?

First off I'll start by saying I do not have the receipt anymore, I just have the phone and the box it came with and a manual inside.
I've looked online but it asks for things I'm unsure of, can I still register for warranty without the receipt?
you can register it on your samsung account without any payment info, but when you have to send it in for a repair you have to give some details such as where it was purchased from
i know people who just wrote any random stuff, all sumasung really need is the serial number on the phone

at https://account.samsung.com?
I'm logged in and can't find anything apart except "Profile" Services" and "Notice"
And everytime I log into "Product Registration" it attempts to log me in and then says I have the wrong info, but when I put an incorrect password on purpose it just says "your email or password is incorrect" but it isn't.. I think it might be the Samsung site, can anybody see?
I logged into my acc last night and was abale to register my s3 on there site. i bought the phone off a friend who hadf an upgrade, just said bought from "vodafone"
my cameras messed up since going upto JB then back to ics so looks like its a repair job unless i get some help on here to fix it.

[Q] S3 recover from IMEI and Modem issues - need help please!

Phone has been working a treat for sometime and I settled on the "StockMod Rom", see below:
What I didn't know was that the S3 has an issue where the it stops registering the SIM on the network. Note that it did show the correct IMEI number. The first time this happened I just turned it off/on a dozen times and reset the SIM. But the second time this didn't work. So I spend about 10 hours trying to fix it and I only made it worse. One of the options was to reload the modem files which I did from the link below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831898
and that made things worse. Now I have no network at all, see screen shot:
Also I note that the above status is showing the phone as model SGH-T999, which is the T-Mobile version. So thats obviously a problem.
Can anyone guide me through how to recover my phone. This would be hugely appreciated as working with my old rooted and rom'd motorola MB860 is tiresome.
Many thanks Darrin.

Phone stuck in error mode while trying to downgrade to Android 11

First, I have a Galaxy A21, not a A21s, but I didn't see my phone listed on your front page. Anyway, I thought I would post this in here. Hope that's OK?
So....after I finally got Android 12 I noticed the phone was slow and laggy. I got tired of it and attempted to downgrade to Android 11. I got ODIN and retrieved the Android 11 file for my exact phone off the SamMobile website. I followed the instructions on this page and proceeded. Three times now it has FAILED! Each time I get the error message 'An error has occured while updating the device. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software' .
So I got the Smart switch software and followed the instructions for using that, and each time I got 'this model does not support firmware upgrades and initialization'. I have a StraightTalk model of the phone, so I don't know if that has anything to do with this or not. Now my phone is stuck on the 'An error has occured while updating the device' screen and I'm starting to worry I've bricked it.
Can anyone here help me out with this?
Thank you
I got it to work. I downloaded the Android 12 files for my phone and used ODIN to flash my phone and it was successful. I guess maybe because of the model phone I have it's not possible to downgrade?

Check and see.
The 5th digit from the end of the bootloader version vs the build number tells you if you can.
That digit must be the same or lower than the build number.

Best advice... Rule #1 if the firmware is fast, stable and fulfilling its mission, let it be! Updates can and do break things. Hell I'm still running on Pie on this stock N10+ N975U. It hasn't been updated in 3 years, current load is over 2.5yo still fast, very stable with minimal maintenance. Security is simply not an issue. Forget the hype scare bs.
Anything from 9 up is relatively secure unless you do stupid things.
This is what an Android is capable of. Constant updates are counterproductive, they waste time and perpetuate endless cycles of troubleshooting and finding work arounds. For what?!
In older Samsung the last firmware updates can hamstring and cripple them. It's a Samsung tradition I have almost zero issues because I don't mess with the firmware... and it still runs like a bat of hell.
blackhawk, thanks for the reply, and the info.
I realized the phone was just not capable of running Android 12 and so I bought a new one - Galaxy A53 5G. I was pretty bummed I missed the sale on that phone at Walmart by one day - bought it for $260, but it had been on sale for a hundred bucks! Doh...
Anyway, the A53 is awesome. Better processor, more memory/storage, bigger battery and it came with Android 12 already on it. The phone is slated to get the next android and possibly a couple more after that so I should be set for a while.
Thanks again for replying to my thread and have a blessed Thanksgiving

Question Need help figuring out what's up with the XAU CSC code on my Samsung phone.

Hi!
I'm from Peru, about three months ago I bought an S22+ 256gb version through a reseller here in my country (official Samung store only sells the 128gb vairant). Since I was not receiving the Android 13 update I decided to check if I could do it manually, after following some tutorials I ended up in this deadspot, turns out my phone has this weird CSC code that I can't find anywhere else on the internet.

I don't know if it's necessary, but I'll provide some info about my phone when i received it:
It had AT&T stuff inside the box, as well as an sticker on the back of the box, at first i thought it was a locked phone, but it didn't had any proprietary apps. Everything was sealed, phone was clearly new.
While browsing the web, i found this page that let's you check if your phone IMEI was blacklisted, I cheked mine and it has two IMEI, one is blacklisted and one is not. I can use it to make and receive calls as well as use the LTE with my local service provider.
I'm fairly new to this whole "unlocked phone" thing, so my question is... Did I screwed myself up by buying an AT&T stolen/contrabanded phone from the reseller?, or is there a way to update my phone to Android 13 manually without risking bricking it forever.
If some of you guys can help me figure this out, that would be amazing, thanks!
You have a US model. I think the applied CSC is T-mobile but I'm not sure. You can use this tool: https://samfw.com/blog/samfw-frp-tool-1-0-remove-samsung-frp-one-click Under adb commands get a list of CSCs, see if the one you want is there. Then you can go back to the tool's main screen and change your CSC. Takes 10 seconds + a reboot, no data loss. Worked for me both on my Tab S8+ and S22+. Since your CSC is not part of the OXM package I'm not really familiar with the options you'll get on the list. I think XAA is good, it's listed online as USA unbranded. But I'm not from the US so I'm not sure what will have the fastest updates.
Edit: I just saw you have one IMEI blacklisted. Yeah it's probably a bit shady... Not sure if it had any further consequences.

Question Please help me. My pixel 6. I checked its imei code on the Google store and it shows that my phone is unlocked ,but its OEM is still gray.

Use a different IMEI check site as the Google one doesn't have the kind of detail you need here. That said, odds are really high that yours is a Verizon device.

If you want to check to see if it is a Verizon model, you can use this.
If it's not a Verizon model, it should return either "NVZW" or "NON-VZW".

I think that is the unlocked version. Your first screenshot in Post #1 also indicates it is unlocked. I believe "VZ" would show up if it was a Verizon model when using the repair section of the Google Store.
Btw, if that is your real IMEI in the picture you posted above, you really should delete it for privacy and security concerns.
Lughnasadh said:

ok, thanks for your help
I was kind of in a similar situation when I got my Pixel. I opened up developer options just to see OEM being grayed out and unable to be toggled. So I was also directed to the Google repair site to enter my IMEI and it told me that I had an Unlocked phone. Which confused me. How can I have an unlocked phone when clearly it is not unlocked. My issue was I got mine through Xfinity. So it made me wait a 90 day period and own the phone before you could request the phone be unlocked. But as soon as 90 days were up and I payed it off they unlocked it for me. So even though you may have an unlocked phone, sometimes depending on who you bought it from some carriers put certain restrictions on unlocking them. But like previous responses said, as long as it's not Verizon you're good
