Would someone be able to share their persist partition? I know every partition is unique but I want to see what I can do to maybe save corrupted sections in mine with a different one.
EDIT :
Only if your fingerprint works
you cannot use another person persist, its unique, you can send phone to service center and say that some things stopped working, say what doesnt work of course, just say it suddenly stopped, lock the bootloader if u can, there is some videos
I know it's

I know it's unique but it isn't lost, it's corrupt and comparing the files with eachother must show similarities. Maybe there is a possibility to fix the corrupted part if that part isn't unique

Yeah i dont think so, i have the same problem with mine, unfortunately it had to be opnened and now i dont have warranty, i also thought it was possible to compare both, but asked a guy that worls with this phone and said that it is not possible, but you can try, this is a persist image from other guy, it should be fine, good luck if you try to fix it.
Hey everyone,
I also have the problem with the persist partition.
I sent it to a repairshop in Europe and after over 2 month they told me they wanted about 300€ to have it fixed.
So I got it back without the repair, because **** that.
So I flashed a persist.img I found here on XDA and the only thing that's not working it the Fingerprint Sensor.
So if anyone comes up with an idea on how to recalibrate the Fingerprint Fensor (or how to put my sensor ID into the persist.img) I'm all ears.
Thank you in advance

I compared both mine and the one you sent and found that alot of lines are missing from mine. I'm not sure if these specific lines are exclusive per device. I also found some lines in the binary that are "shifted" a little. Doing this manually would take me days and are not worth it. Was worth a shot though, guess I have to send it back lol.

. We need the persist_image.emmc.win . As per this video so we can get working fingerprints and all other things

We need a twrp backup of the partition , i dont think flashing the persistent partition would do any good rather than we need to restore the .win file of twrp's partition backup in order to get the fingerprint working

Yeah but only if you got a previous backup, and not many people backup persist.

So I flashed my S II to jelly bean 4.1, after installing the ROM it gave me a error saying "USB storage is damaged would you like to format it" I didnt think before clicking, so I pressed "OK". After clicking ok, my phone froze, I then restarted my phone and ofcourse it didn't boot. I then installed a stock 4.0.3 ROM. After that processes I botted my phone and then i checked my imei number, it said "00499901064****". This is clearly wrong. So I was wondering, is there any way to change the imei number? I know this is illegal. I almost have no choice but to do that. I tried the following:
SGII_Repair
Android Terminal Emulator
Any tips?
Questions belong to Q&A!
Well, you should have done a backup of efs before flashing. No, everyone should do a efs backup the first time you touches your device. Now only taking to customer service can repair it.

I tried GSII repair, didn't fix the problem. At first I didn't have ANY IMEI number at all. But after running the app I got a fake IMEI number. Which gave me signal on my phone, but no internet connection or sending/receiving call and message...
In that case you have two options. One, repair by Samsung/authorised repairer at your cost, obviously. This is the most expensive option. Two, contact a member on here called Odia by PM (and be patient when you do/wait for his reply. If you hound him, he'll probably ignore you), he can sometimes recover EFS/IMEI details for a small 'donation'. Trust me, if he can fix this for you it will end up being much cheaper than having Samsung fix it.
You don't have any other options given you don't have an EFS backup, and please don't mention changing your IMEI again, as you've already said this is illegal & mods will close this thread fairly quickly if you do mention it again.

Yes, I've heard that he fixes IMEI, but I can't trust this user. I know exactly what he uses to fix the IMEI. It also depends how much it costs to repair the phone from samsung service. Either I get a decent price, or I will buy a new phone. But the phone is still on warranty though, will it cover the phone with a different IMEI?

why do u want to create two thread's in no time for the same issue
ps- u should have edited the OP of the earlier thread with the same detail
Put it this way, the chances of EFS/IMEI getting borked by an 'ordinary' user (who hasn't messed with the phone/rooted/flashed custom roms) is maybe 1 in 100,000 (probably more), so if they're smart, they're going to know you've been messing with it. So there's a fair chance they won't fix it under warranty I would have thought.
You're going to have to go back to stock firmware if you haven't already, reset the flash counter with Triangle Away or a jig (depending on what bootloader you're running) & send it in & see what they say. You might get lucky & they might not care or notice you messed with it.
Nobody here can tell you for certain/give you any guarantees about this tho, anyone who does tell you they'll definitely 100% fix it under warranty is lying to you.

Hello guys. As you see I'm new here. I decided to write here because I have a problem with my brand new P9. Firstly I would like to say sorry for my english and all mistakes i will probably make writing this post.
I buy my p9 for about two weeks ago. All was great, but in the evening I saw, that my battery is not charging very well. I mean it was charging, but soo slow. When I was using my phone, battery discharged when was plugged in to charger. I checked in AMPER application from Android Market, and there was something about 100ma when charging. It's not enought I think, so I send my p9 to repair. They said there was soft problem, they install new android (soft - in polish), and of course problem has gone. I was happy that It's all but now I have another problem. Huawei can't find network (I mean signal 3g, don't reading sim card). Wifi works normally. So i decided to make hard reset in settings. And u know what? There's a problem with battery again. I install new rom (even few, b132, b167, 17.....) and in all was problem with sim-card. What can I do to make my phone works normally? I don't want to send it again, it's wasting of time I think...
Please help me, should I install Beta 7.0 android ? Where can I found it and which one will work with my p9? How to chech it ? My p9 is eva-l09 with only one sim card.
Hope somebody will understand me

Got it, but look. When phone arrive to me after repair, everythings works great except sim card. So it's possible that it's software fault I think. But now it doesn't work on any soft ( I mean charging). So, maybe I'm doing something wrong?
I download softs from many internet sites, maybe you have your favourite one? Than I was make folder on main storage (not on sd card cause I didn't have any one). Folder called dload, than I unzipping (in winrar) to my computer, than copy it to this folder. Later click down + on buttons and everything were installing. Is there something wrong? How did they do it, that when phone arrived to me there was 1400ma in AMPER application, and now I'm using many other softs and it's doesn't work....

Ok, I will try it. Yes, I mean ROM/software. I downloaded it from huawei website, with 182 (I mean last numbers of software number).
Yea but how to do it. I have a 2.1.9 version of NRT. Now, what device should I choose? I don't see huawei p9. And don't see my android build ;/
UPDATE
I think it's too hard for me. Maybe it's not, but I really don't want to kick something and lose my guarantee. I think I have to send this phone, there's no another way I think... Maybe if I will root and bootloader unlock, but I could lose guarantee so it's not way for me. Is there any way to make my phone bricked, to make "them" (mean CCS) didn't know it's my folk? I thinking about because I really don't want to got half-worked phone again ;/

Sending it back is the way that is alot safer. You could try different things with unlocking and everything.. But if it's really a hardware issue you would be screwed

Hello experts,
I have Samsung Galaxy S3, I was using messenger then it hanged up and then I restarted my mobile by pressing and holding the power switch. Then Galaxy S3 logo appeared after restart and again hanged up. Then I again restarted the phone, again at the same point it hanged up i.e. at the logo of Galaxy S3. Then I pulled out battery and reinsert it but after this it never started again not even blinked once. I have also checked on another battery.
I went to the mobile repairing shop then he said CMC chip is dead so its circuit will be replaced. Then I went another shop, he said I will flash the device but I don't guarantee about the data (stored in phone storage). I said him that it is not turning on then how will you flash it. He said I will do it yet.
Now, tell me experts that what should I do to get my phone data back? What should I do that it just turned on for some minutes so that I could take my data to SD card. My data is much important. Also tell me how did the shopkeeper say that he will flash the phone even it is not turning on anyhow.
Thank you.

If it's super important, you would've backed it up, right? Everyone I know backups their important data at least 2 times
The other shopkeeper could use a jtag to force the device into download mode (helped me to unbrick a hard bricked s4).
My 2 seconds of Googling brought me to this link.
That's what I'd assume they'd do (that's what I'd do if I was them).
As for the first one, they might be correct, or not. My strongest recommendation is to try the jtag method and if that doesn't work, I will be really surprised if they actually replace the CMC. Usually what they do is just replace the motherboard which you can do at home (there are plenty of motherboards on ebay) however, it's cheaper but your data chips would need to be transfered over to the new motherboard, which is just better to go with the CMC replacement (if they don't replace your mobo, your data is fine, if they do, it's gone with the mobo).
As for the second option regarding your data, unfortunately it's correct. However, it they get into download mode, they can flash a recovery (different partition, meaning your /data partition is safe) like twrp which they can use to make a nandroid backup and then after extracting the backup, flash new rom. Then you can restore the different apps/settings from the twrp backup file (there are plenty of tutorials on the net).
Good luck! If I helped, hit the "thanks" button

What jtag is etc can be checked out in the link below. What cables you need depend on specifically your device (it might be s3, but there are different variants of the s3).
And yes, normally that would mean that it would be forced into download mode

Regarding the jtag, you can check out this great forum question and answer Keep in mind that jtag doesn't always need a controller, in my case (s4 not s3), I had to create a micro usb connector with a resistor on one of the ends and plug it into the device for it to work again
You recommend me to use jtag method? OK. And what is CMC? What does it stand for? How they replace it? Any tutorial?

I don't really know what CMC is, maybe the guy meant SMC? SMC is a common abbreviation used in circuit board repair and stands for System Management Controller so in one word or another, a chip (correct me if I am wrong, I am not super educated in the circuit board area).
I do recommend you use the jtag method since if it doesn't work, at least you can rest a sure you've tried multiple ways to revive it and not sit and wonder after the board repair is complete if there was a more efficient way to solve the issue.

Are you sure you can do it at home? It isn't normal solder, it's more of a ballpoint solder requiring to heat up the board to let the solder flow and then extract the nand chips. I cannot give you link since I don't know specifically what phone you have (you stated s3, but there are plenty of s3 variants such as the s3 lte etc all with different internals).
What I meant by that line is that since the data chips are on the motherboard, replacing the motherboard means losing your data. If they don't replace your motherboard (mobo), your data is intact/fine .
Here the second option you mean, flashing the rom? you said in the bracket the "data partition is safe" means in this method, I can safe my data? OK, I read about twrp as per my understanding, it can get my data back? Right?

Yep, with twrp you can create a backup and extract from that backup apps and whatnot. So technically, your data is safe (you will wipe the phone, but you'll have a backup ). If it's photos that are the issue, you can hope that your sync was on and that you had Google Photos set up (automatically backs up your gallery).

Can anyone PLEASE help me, I am at my wits end. I'm disabled and rely on my phone for alot. I don't have a computer so if there is a way to figure this out with the hacked phone or I also have tablet but I think they have synced my stuff to some other phone or computer they have. They reroute my calls and stop texts and emails from being sent. It's ruining my life on a daily. It's been 2 wks and each day, they r deeper and deeper into my stuff n life. Help please??? I don't know if I'll b able to even get back to this site or page so if you have a way to help me, please put here and if don't mind, send to my email at [email protected] so that I will definitely get it. I recently had my phone disappear and reappear 3 days later while in hospital and when I found it back in my bag, it was NOT the same. It now has a double screen sometimes. It also does not follow the normal routes when try to use settings or download from playstore. There are alot of strange things I'm seeing in settings that were never there before and I don't know how to get the hackers out of phone once and for all and get my life back. I don't know if I'll b able to even get back to this site or page so if you have a way to help me, please put here and if don't mind, send to my email at [email protected] so that I will definitely get it. ehhhhhhhhh,
kinda scary if i thought
wouldnt want that to happen to me
hmm
can you check the recovery and bootloader of your phone?
Check your Google account to see if any unauthorized devices accessed it.
Have the firmware reflashed at a repair center. Then change your Google password and any other passwords that were on it.
Be wary of any data saved from that phone before the firmware flash which will completely wipe it. Best to not use any data or especially files saved from that phone once newly flashed.
You should always redundantly backup critical data from the phone for this and other misfortunes that can happen.

XD lol people are ignorant nowadays lol,
I backup with pitchblack frequently for a reason.
All the better for keeping ur bootloader locked after installing what u want
But let him check his own bootloader and recovery, if they installed a custom one he could just do it himself if he wanted
i wonder why a hacker would risk that when there is the zero day exploit and stuff and plus mediatek and the mail gpu have root exploits lol
(why i like using qualcomm)

K I'm gonna do the power bootloader again to see what says. Last time it asked if wanted to delete phone and reboot. I'll try again now. Hang tight. Hope I get back here.
After the Feb update phone was working fine than suddenly it restart and stay on the G logo and nothing further happen after waiting for 2 hours I reboot to recovery and perform a factory reset there. Than the phone booted up with blank imei. Imei is not showing not in about phone not in dialer.
Help me to fix.
Have you attempted to install a factory image using the Android Flash Tool on Google's Pixel pages or else downloaded a factory image and used ADB to install it?
Try those and see if that resolves your issue.
Regarding the IMEI, if the factory images don't fix that issue, you'll have to send the device to Google.
Indeed you need to try flash the factory image that you were on to start with before it broke.
Yes now it did the factory image flashing unlock the bootloader and flash through online, everything is fine but the IMEI still not there.
Now I have a option for root and is there any thing that help me get fixing the IMEI edit it or update it or restore it

Send it to Google. We cannot discuss methods of resolving IMEI issues here as the techniques for restoring the IMEI could also be used to change it, something illegal according to the laws of most countries. Especially the USA, where XDA servers are located.
How to backup imei for future ?

Under normal circumstances there should be no need to back up the IMEI. The OP's issue is NOT common, which is why he needs to get a hold of Google.
Obviously I don't know what happened to your phone but I had the good ol axon 7 and one day after sitting in storage for months I turned it on and it would do everything except receive texts and I looked closer and saw it said imei null. I remember doing a reset before knowing it had a weak battery issue and I'm sure it didn't reset before the battery died and so I'm thinking at least in my case the issues are related. Do you think you had anything like that happen?

I am asking for help to repair my devices everyone know the law and regulation internet is full of stuff that depend on you how you use it.
Maybe IMEI info is also stored on a partition on the currently inactive slot. Try taking the March update, it will switch slots and hopefully IMEI reappears.

The law makes no allowances for intent as that is for a judge to decide. Regardless, you got your answer: send it to Google! I'm sorry if that wasn't the answer you wanted, however that is the answer you are going to get from me. In fact, I will spell it out for you.
I will not help you as to do so could potentially get this site into trouble as well as cause possible legal issues for me. Not to mention the fact I cannot verify you actually own the device.
ALL problems of this sort should be directed to your product manufacturer. Contact them, provide them with the information they ask for, and see if they can help you. They are the only ones who will assist you in these matters. I cannot and will not give you any assistance with these problems.
Is that clear?
OK thanks for the long comments
