Hello.
I know that this was posted time ago but I have just received an IUNI U2 with the same problem so here it is what I have done to solve this problem:
First of all you gotta register in this french forum about IUNI´s products support and downloads http://iuni-france.fr/index.php?sid=2fea7ac7718c7c697f9e1f4e47b28f1b
After that, you need to download the following files:
-IUNI Toolkit http://iuni-france.fr/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=15 in order to install TWRP Recovery that will let us install the ROM with no problem as the stock recovery doesn´t let us do it.
-IUNI UNOFFICIAL ROM (English and Chinese as the official one.It is the same as the official one in all aspects, don´t mind about that).Choose according to your model and download the latest version.
http://iuni-france.fr/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=35 (for 16GB and 2GB version)
http://iuni-france.fr/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=36 (for 32GB and 3GB version)
-Gapps (if you want to get them) http://www.iuni-france.fr/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=13
Once you have done it, extract the Toolkit zip in a folder, get developer permissions in the phone (search it on Google), allow debugging mode and connect it to the computer until it installs all the drivers. Activate USB Storage mode in the status bar to copy the ROM and Gapps (if needed) zip files in the root of the phone. After this, disconnect and turn off the phone and restart it in fastboot mode (VOL - & Power for a seconds). Run Boot Recovery TWRP.bat (sometime it is called TWRP.bat) and connect the phone to the computer again (if you have not disconnected it before running the bat file, do it). If it recognises your IUNI U2, it will install TWRP Recovery and will restart the phone after completing it. If not you need to install the drivers (try Universal ADB Drivers or the official ones available in this page http://bbs.iunios.com/thread-45092-1-2.html (registration required for the download or if not, look for that file on Google,it is uploaded in a Baidu server like in this link you can try http://pan.baidu.com/wap/link?uk=2771805765&shareid=300825861&third=0 but it is not always active ))
Well,if the previous step is done, your phone will show the TWRP Recovery in the screen (sometimes in chinese letters but you only need to look some images of TWRP in English language in order to know what options are respectively). Now it is really simple, install the two zip files copied before. Start with the ROM, clear cache, install GAPPS, clear the cache again and restart. Done.
Now you have your IUNI U2 with the SIM problem solved and with an updated ROM and Gapps.
If you want root access, flash this as the other zip files in recovery http://iuni-france.fr/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=16
PD: If you have any problem there is a tutorial (in french language) available in the page http://iuni-france.fr/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=17
Sorry for my english.I am not native but Spanish.
I hope it helps

Hello javserher,
Thank you for the guide. I've downloaded all the files from iuni-france but the TWRP.img file it says is for IUNI U2 32G version. I have the U2 16G version and I can't find the another twrp.img for my model. Can I use the twrp.img for the U2 32G? What did you use?
Thanks

Not only,it supports English and Chinese, for now. We could see more languages in the future but it is not sure because of his small community.
I think the first language to be released would be french (as the forum of developers is formed by french people) but I have no idea about any more languages apart from english and chinese. I only tell my thoughts hahahah

Hi javserher,
I used the twrp.img for U2 32G and everything was fine. I now have the English version of IUNI OS v2.0 for my model and everything is working great! I also installed the gapps and the SuperSU.
Cheers

Cool!
Now I am who has a problem.
My IUNI U2 does not autosync any app. No Gmail push notifications neither Facebook or Twitter´s ones. Even I have been receiving some Whatsapp messages 10 minutes after they were sent and also I received a comment on facebook and while in my previous smartphone appeared on the status bar 2 seconds after it was posted, in the IUNI never appeared (as well as direct messages on Twitter)
I have installed an app about forcing autosync but I have only get Gmail syncing every 5 minutes so I would have to wait that time to see an email while on my previous smartphones as any other it would appear instantly.
It is not a problem related to checking "Sync" option on Gmail/Twitter/Facebook app or in the menu (account section or status bar configuration) cause I have tried all that things (even freezing some apps that could be related to this problem). All in all, I have tried all but with no result.
I am really desperated about this. If you could tell me if you have this problem I would appreciate it. Also if you know how to fix it.
While I receive an answer I will continue looking on the IUNI chinese forum.

I am having the same issue :/
What version of IUNI OS are you using? I am on U2-32G-BetaV1.8-20141027
I have noticed I have problems for notifications for pretty much all apps that don't force a sticky notification
Would really like to see some development for this phone... Cyanogenmod? but it doesn't seem like there's a huge amount of interest yet

Konstantinos, where did you find the 2.0 english version? latest i can find is V1.8 on here: http://www.iuni-france.fr/iunios/index.html
I would like to try and create our own unofficial port, but I have never done one before so it probably won't go well xD

You have the 2.0 for the 32GB version here http://iuni-france.fr/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=36 and the 16GB here http://iuni-france.fr/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=35 (although the page says it is the 1.7v, actually is 2.0 when you go to download it)
About the notification problem I got Gmail notifications thank to Synker app (needs Synker Unlock Key to let you access the function I a gonna talk about,it is about 1,5 euros). In the app there is a section called Accounts and Sync Inspector. There you can set the periodic sync time of every component of every account at the end (not only Gmaill but also other app accounts). For example, choose Chrome or Gmail component in the list,go to the end and there you can set it.
It is not a push notification cause it doesn´t alert you instantly but you can choose an every minute refresh. Now I am trying to know why push notifications don´t work well in our system.
I will post any possible fix for this issue

I installed the 2.1 version of the iuni OS official chinese forum but it didn´t solved the problem. I´ll give this a try (I think it is the same ROM I downloaded from iuni forum but anyway I will install it tomorrow) and I will check before posting here the result.
Have you tried it to see if this fix the problem? I mean,if you have posted it because it fixes it or because you think it could solve it.

For gmail: go to gmail app, press three horizontal lines in left up corner, go to settings, your account, first line and set priority mail. Try it. This helps for me. Notificatoin in second..
Sorry for my english.
Check

Rebrand IUNI U2 with 4.4 android Kitkat And with MULTILANGUAGE support And gapps. But without IUNIOS, probably vanilla android.

It doesn´t work because not all conversations in Gmail are priority. Although I change my config to yours,it doesn´t work setting it to priority.
But it is not only a problem about Gmail push notifications,it is about Twitter,Facebook and many other apps. For me receiving mails as soon as possible is so important but the problem is with a lot of apps.
I thinks it works in your phone cause it is not a real IUNI U2 but an ALLVIEW X1 XTREME MINI with another OS,not IUNI OS that is what is giving us problems.
I will wait for @karellang answer about my question in mine above post until flashing a new ROM (fourth time)

Hey @javserher, any news on the syncing problems ? I was planing to get this phone but the syncing issues i read about in Your posts put me a bit off. If the IUNI OS is so bugged, can I use a standard clean android rom on this phone?
did anybody find any roms for the allview x1 xtreme mini?
i asked allview support about it, and got the following answer:
" Dear customer,
Unfortunately our company policy doesn't allow us to offer the initial ROM files to our customers. In case you encounter any issues with it you will need to take contact with one of our service partners.
Thank you for the interest manifested for Allview products and for understanding.
Best Regards,"
now that's pretty disappointing.

I haven´t get it fixed but today has been released the 2.2v on IUNI OS Official Forum (check http://download.iunios.com/ to download it and http://bbs.iunios.com/thread-54098-1-1.html to read the info) so I will probably test it tomorrow
Some features are official IUNI weather app, real time mails (it could fix our problem but I´m not sure cause I need to translate the chinese text wiht google translator in Chrome) and some others I think they are not really important.
" Update notice:
one, the new e-mail module;
Support for multiple accounts simultaneously log, company / private messages simultaneously manage;
support mainstream IMAP / POP3 mail protocol standards, important messages in real time;
IUNI classic style, simple interface Smart, efficient and smooth operation slippery.
Second, the new weather module
(currently only supports U3, U2, one plus two mobile phones and millet telecommunications edition, being adapted in other models) provides real-time weather information, four days forecast; multi-city weather preview, always switch management; fine animation, fresh Smart.
Great. I wait for Your feedback then, before I decide to buy or not. How do you like the phone so far?
Hello! So, I have been waiting for this device to come from Italy allthough I could have bought it from Romania (x1 xtreme mini) but I have wanted the 32 GB version. So, it came after 3 weeks of wondering. It had gaapps installed but the system told me it was an update available (the 4.4.2 kitkat). So, I have updated istantly, of course. I don't know if it is because of this update but in stadby over night it consumed 37 % of battery (cause of consumption - wifi and celular), no apps running in background... So I had it reset but the gapps aren't working anymore. It has installed its ”Iuni app store” an this tells that I can update google play services and google play. It does update them but they crash/do not launch...
I will try the versions form the french forum but this is extemely dissapointing... So, my questions are:
1. Did you experienced any problems with the battery? (before and after updating to kitkat beta)
2. Is it a way to have a full english rom with only gapps in it and get rid of all the chinese files?
Thank you!
Hi guys
I am having a HUGE problem. I guess I've messed it up really good... I was having the same issue like it was mentioned in the first post, but I was dumb enough to act before searching for informations. I accidently formated the system (stupid chinese letters) and the phone is left without an OS onboard... So now it just keeps booting with the IUNI logo and I can't even turn it off. I was trying to connect it to my PC but it doesn't allow to enter the SD card. I've downloaded the drivers and all, also tried to mount USB storage to to insert the new OS into it but still the PC does not recognize the phone.
I know you answered to this kind of post already, but I am desperate... Could you please give me some advise, how can I solve this problem?
Many thanks for your help.
So, since the past few days my i9300 keeps randomly rebooting. At first it was not that much of an issue but today it started to go into a boot loop.
Sometimes it finishes booting but before I can go into the settings to factory reset it, it crashes.
I also tried to get into TWRP but as soon as the logo shows up, it crashes.
I can't even use the download mode because, guess what happens: it crashes.
I really don't know what to do right now. I still have a spare motherboard but I'm not able to access it for another week. It would be a shame to throw away a perfectly fine motherboard if it is just a software thing.
Currently it is running the last version of SlimKAT that was released, I don't know which version of TWRP it is running, but I updated it just a few weeks ago. It is not using the original battery fom Samsung but one from Anker which should be fine.
If anyone needs more or specific information, I'm more than happy to provide it.
Hi,
just want to ask, you're stuck in bootloop at the "samsung" Logo or where?
Because I am having bootloops, too since 2 days. Phone kept restarting one or 2 times since last 3 days and when i got home on 1. november i put my phone to the charger and got back 20min later and saw it was rebooting.
Mine is stuck in optimizing apps or if i wait long time then it is at starting android: starting apps and i see when the color temperature of the phone changes (i think of the light sensor) it gets stuck and reboots.
just for docu (even if its not the same problem):
i have a 2nd spare s3 for testing here and to test ag. hardware issue i made a twrp backup and both are dying. after facory reset and installing apps i recognized that it is dying at the installation of telegram app and after that its going to the same bootloop on both phones. i checked telegram and seems to fit in, they updated their app at 1. november. and date code of last changes before the bootloop: telegram was modified. so for my problem it seems to be caused by telegram.
I am using bliss rom 6.1 (Andoid 6 Marshmallow, CM13 based) at i9300
sorry for maybe not beeing a help. I now found out that it happens to other app installations, too. so seems to be a problem deeper in android/interfering with this specific rom - maybe its play store . So far since it happens on 2 identical s3 with this rom I will have to change the rom now. :crying: (was stable >1year)
It is stuck on the Samsung Logo. I've been testing multiple ROMs for stabillity because after some time it will randomly crash (most of the time after 2 - 3 weeks of usage) but it was never this bad. I thought it was due to the fact that newer versions of Android need stronger Hardware, so I switched back to KitKat.
But Telegram could be a reason for this. I too use it and if you say they updated it, the timeframe would match.
I know that my spare motherboard is fully functional, with stock rom, not rooted or anything. I will swap it out as soon as I can and will install Telegram to try to confirm that this could be the reason.

good luck!
But if you'r stuck at the samsung logo, sounds even worse than mine. if your having a new board could at least be an option to check if its really not a hardware issue (you mentioned that its getting again unstable after some time)
for my problem I managed to backup most things out of the nandroid image and moved to ressurection remix with android nougat. the new rom is running fast and so far without any problem - hope it stays like that .
So I am having weird issues with this goddamn old phone. My intention was to root it and then work from there, I flashed this ROM. It worked fine for a while, but recently I tried to use the GPS and the phone simply started a reboot cycle that never ends. I wiped the cache, reboot it... and it didn't worked. And then a even more bizarre situation happened: I wiped everything (literally, only the SD card remained intact for flashing purposes), flashed this ROM, it booted, I selected the language, wi-fi, google account, create a PIN, etc.. the usual. But then 5 minutes later, the phone started the reboot cycle again, wtf? That's it, the phone is gone? If I am fast enough to turn on the "airplane mode", the phone stops rebooting, but as soon as I toggle it off, here it comes the damn rebooting again
I'm having the exact same issue on my Nikel. Today was my third wipe to get it working. I've read somewhere (can't find the source now) that it's allegedly related to a google play update that messes up some gps-related libraries and can cause bootloops on android 6 devices. For me it started on 24th February - I woke up to the phone already in the loop. Maybe blocking the update or manual removal can fix this issue. I'll try to find more info and will post if I figure something out.
Also, it wasn't flashed or even unlocked when it happened for the first 2 times.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...loop-after-turn-on-wifi.4408005/post-86497399 - this seems related.

That's so weird... I just bought a refurbished Redmi Note 8 Pro to substitute this cursed nikel, it's a damn shame how this version is not popular, meanwhile the snapdragon variant is receiving customized android 12 roms as we type these comments, nikel is abandoned smh I will try that "fix" you linked, related to the google services... see if that can fix the infinite reboot. I assume the google maps will not work? Who knows, these bugs are just annoying

And it didn't worked, the phone entered on a bootloop again, I had to quick turn the GPS off and that stopped rebooting. Such a weird bug... the curious thing about it is how the phone was working fine with the locked bootloader, the "original" MIUI, etc After rooting the phone, I tried the few custom roms we have here on XDA and I never used the GPS that much, so I didn't noticed the bug immediately. Tried to flash the MIUI again, the GPS problem remained. I was even willing to lock the bootloader again, attempted to flash MIUI through Miflash and it didn't worked. So I am stuck with a rooted phone (that is working pretty well, all things considered) but with no GPS
Right now the phone is working fine for me, so does the GPS. However, if google services ask me whether I want to increase navigation accuracy with google location service (I don't remember the exact popup text, I'm using a Polish version), and I click agree, everything goes to hell. I've been able to avoid agreeing to google location service until now, but it tries to trap me 3-4 times a day. I just know that it will pop up right under my thumb when I'm trying to tap something else, and it will be factory reset time all over again.
Hi I am in the same boat Note 4 nikel, when I turn on GPS, bootloop is happening.
Has anyone found a solution today?
So i find this link for Redmi Note 4 in
Firmware Redmi Note 4 MTK Untuk Yang Bootloop, Restart Terus Dan Bisa Buka Gps Akurasi Tinggi, Gojek Dan google Map
Download firmware redmi note 4 mtk miui 10, nikel atau 4x ini file khusus untuk hape yang bootlop bandel dan restart terus menerus
www.joelzr.com
I've installed it using spflashtool .. It worked for high accuracy navigation .. It only in english and chineese ..
Reuploaded the file in here ..
1.99 GB folder on MEGA
6 files
mega.nz
After a successfull flash .. Install the google installer apk .. And install your desired app .. And because google play took sooooo long to download app ( maybe my network signal ) .. I download the apk manualy from browser and install them ..
Works fine on my Redmi Note 4 .. Only reboot once ( don't know what happen) and no more ..
Sorry for my english ..
