I've had this device since march, and have no idea what is happening. My WiFi suddenly stopped working, and I can't find any way to enable it again. In the about section, it can't find a MAC address at all. I don't know whether or not the NIC got disabled, or if I would need to buy a new mainboard. If I could somehow enable it again via ADB that would be awesome. I've been having this issue for a while, and just put it on the backburner due to life, and would like to start using this phone again.
For added info: I'm in the U.S.A. and bought it through WirelessPlace, so I have no warranty on the device. I haven't tried through Xiaomi support yet, but I highly doubt they would help much, and also I would probably have to ship the phone out, and I would like to not have to do that.
Do hard reset and flash stock..if still issue, it's hardware failure..
11 Lite 5G NE
Last week (after 8 months od usage) my Bluetooth stopped working
When I tapped to turn on, the button was endlessly showing Turning on, never coming to Turned on (and no BT device was able to find my phone)
Also, if I opened another app (or locked window) while endlessly showing Turning on, then BT immediately went to Turned off
Since I also decided to upgrade MIUI (and OTA was failing, saying there is no memory to install the downloaded OTA package), I flashed the full Fastboot ROM (with hard reset) and it also solved my BT - now BT works again

Hi,
as already written in one of the WM6.5 threads I have some serious problems with my Hermes and it's not getting better.
I have tried to search a bit but I couldn't find the right answer to my problem so hopefully someone can help me.
I will try to write down as many details as I remember regarding the problem!
- Hermes was running fine WM6.1 till some days ago until GSM began to get crazy (not logged into network properly, device hang up etc)
Can't remember which ROM I installed before but GSM was 1.47.00.00
- Today morning I switched to Tai's Golden Globe V14.
Before I put the AT&T "fresh" ROM onto my device to make sure everything will run smoothly
After flashing to GG V14 I did a HW-reset and synched my Outlook stuff - everything looked fine so far
- Later on I tried to make some phone calls but the device stuck and did not react
I did a SW reset and from now on the journey began - the device did start sometimes till a blank startup screen and sometimes it just hang up while booting
I recognized it behaved differently e.g. if AC was connected it did not boot up till Windows but also HW reset did not solve the problem
- Back to the PC I tried to flash my device with different OS and Radio ROMs but without success
Finally I found the Vodafone DE ROM and it seemed to work fine again but just for one phone call. I tried to switch on my device approx. 5min after the call but it didn't work - I only saw the green indicator (GSM) but there was only the possibilty to do a SW reset
From now on the device got crazy again and if I try to make a phone call the device tells me a kind of error "Cannot make a phone call" or something like that or the antenna indicator disappears or the antenna shows an exclamation mark
Additionally maybe some more information:
- Herm100 device (originally O² Trion)
- Oli HardSPL 2.10 (did it a while a go)
- GSM often showed an exclamation mark and sometimes good reception but phone calls couldn't be done (sometimes yes, sometimes no, totally crazy)
I really appreciate your answers and if I forgot something to say don't hesitate to ask me.
Thanks
Sounds like the radio is fried or is dying. Have the same problem on my HERM200 (TYTN). Bought the phone used and it froze often. Never really installed a SIM card when I got it. Installed WM6 and I had trouble with the upgrade - got stuck a few times - lucky I had HARDSPL installed. When the radio appears it initially would only work a few minutes at a time - running applications and time seem to get the same errors you experienced. Took the phone apart and cleaned it with electronics cleaner. Left on desk on in standby for a week - checked it occasionally and still showed active radio. Rebooted a few times still ok. Took the phone out of the house for two days still worked. Battery drained down during period. Now have no GSM errors and I was only able to get it to get a radio 1 or 2 times. Reboots and hard resets do not improve. Reflashes won't improve situation because it can't find the radio or the chipset is fried and it can't flash.
Hi and thank you for your answer!
Sounds like bad news and I sadly can confirm my device is more or less nearly unusable!
Yesterday I was not able to make a phone call and even flashing AT&T ROM did not bring any improvements even my SIM was taken out of the device. Seems like the radio influences the whole device even it's inactive. I will try some other radio ROMs... it can't be worse
I don't know if it has been asked before but I've got a problem with the WiFi on my A101IT.
Problems:
Sometimes when I turn it on when it has been off it either goes into boot loop for no apparent reason OR just randomly freezes at the boot screen. When it doesn't act up and I finally get on and my home screen comes up and I look for my active Wifi signal.... it's not there?! When I go to try to manually connect to my Wifi in the Settings it gives me some b.s. "Error" reading! When I try to disconnect and reconnect my Wifi connection on my device it still continues to read "Turning on.... Error." Then, if I feel like messing with it, I'll go through about 5-10 tries of turning my A101IT off and back on to get my Wifi signal on my device to connect as it should.
Other side notes:
I have a Linksys WRTP54G VoIP router that is configured to Wireless G network. Never really had any device connection problems until a few weeks ago.... it just all-of-a-sudden started doing this on its own. I also bought my A101IT off eBay from someone who bought it as New and took very good care of it and only used it like 6 times in 1 month. Beside that, I never uninstalled/deleted any file/.apk I wasn't supposed to. (I say I never uninstalled/deleted anything because I have permanent root access via Chulri's Method for FW 2.3.20).
Any solutions?? Please help!
UPDATE: Archos' [email protected]$$ Customer Support representative said to "upgrade firmware and that should fix the problem." Assumptions, assumptions..... you know what they say?! Anyway, I really don't want to upgrade my FW to 2.3.26 due to known Wifi issues still occurring because as I have found... it seems to be that it is a similar hardware issue like Microsoft's Ring of Death for their XBOX 360 Base, Premium, Elite, AND Slim version gaming systems. I may be wrong but I believe it's a NIC issue where the NIC is not fully soldered on and/or the heat from the A101IT's battery cooks the connection of the NIC on the motherboard of the device to where it can only be turned on at random after about 6 months or more. That's my idea...
try to use Wifi manager to control the Wifi again. https://market.android.com/details?id=org.kman.WifiManager&hl=en
It solved my wifi problem on UrukDroid.
And if u want u can get an older version that has the widget to switch for free.
(Although as it's old it might have bugs that are fixed by now)
= your choice
Hi guys,
Lately I've been having problems with the WiFi and BT.
I know it has been like that for a while but I only noticed it yesterday.
The BT on the phone doesnt work - when I try to turn in on it just doesnt... I press the button and it stays the same way.
The WiFi doesnt work - when I try turning it on it says ERROR. and stays like that... not on and not of.
And not only that, another thing is that my phone started crushing A LOT.
I have no idea what's going on... it can crash at any moment without worning... not always coming back (sometimes I have to pull the battery out).
it can happen after 1 minute or after 3 hours...
the 2 things that changed on the phone lately are:
1. swiched from neutrino 2.8EE to 2.9EE.
2. I was in a vecation and when I tried to charge the battery it got only upto 82%. didn't cross it no matter how long it was in...(it was like that for a week).
I have to phone for like a year and a half.
help? anybody?
This is a known problem and it's been reported countless times already. Unfortunately the most likely reason is that your wifi/bt chip is fried. This is a hardware issue (more specifically, a design flaw) and there is no workaround. It has affected many others and they are just as pissed off about it as I'm sure you are. Some even say all Atrixes will sooner or later end up this way because of this design flaw.
Not sure about the crashing, but it could be related to broken wifi/bt.
Hi
I have same problem. I have Atrix 4G from UK Tmobile, with stock froyo. I flashed the stock 2.3.4 with RSD successfully, and i unl*cked the carrier.
Then i noticed, that Wifi don't work good. I don't know turn on: Wifi (error). The other problem, that the finger print scanner isnt work...
These actions do not help: factory reset, unlock BL, custom ROM (i tested Nottachtrix, any ICS ROM, stock froyo), erase all at fastboot, full wipe with CWM...
I am sure, that it is a software bug! (before flash 2.3.4 and carrier unlck, phone works fine...)
Some solutions? (I think, if we restore back to stock, the problem is solve) How can i make a fully reset, which is stronger than RSD flash stock sbf?

looks promising... did you try it?
I donnot if I can even try it... the first step is "close WiFi"... and I can't. it doesnt go off and doesnt go on... just stays on "Error".
should I just except the fact that I have to get a new phone?
should I send it to Motorola?

I try it later, but i dont know now SD card. I hope, that it is a correctable bug.
edit: i tryd it, but still not good. Other solutions?
I have the same problem (wifi error, bt does not open). I guess it is a hardware problem but when I installed TopSmart rom (coming from Neutrino) they worked for 10 minutes then they crashed again. If it is a software problem (but i dont think so) there must be the answer that everyone's looking for. I hope it ends up as a software problem.
Sent from my Motorola Atrix 4G
It's most certainly a hardware problem. Clearly the WiFi chip in this phone just dies. This is also why your phone is crashing. You'll just have to leave WiFi off (if you can get to the switch before the phone crashes).
This issue started a couple months ago for me, and today I managed to accidentally flip the WiFi switch on again, sending my phone into an endless cycle of crashing and rebooting. I had to factory reset and re-flash CM10 about three times just to get it to stop rebooting repeatedly (which sucks because I didn't have a recent TiBu backup...). You might have to do this as well if your phone doesn't stop crashing.
I'd say just get a new phone. Don't send it in to Moto because even if you're in warranty they'll likely send you back a unit with a permanently locked bootloader, which isn't worth it.
It is frequent bug on Android phones. (wifi - error)

Hey Guys
I have some questions related to my 3 year old LG G3 (32gig Version), which acts funny within the last few weeks...
First of all, my phone is not rooted (I use Android 5) and I have installed a new battery like 3 months ago.
So now to the problems:
My Phone will only very rarely connect to any WiFi I normally use. Even if I try to manually connect and/or forget the network and reenter the codeword, it won't connect 9 from 10 times. It says connecting.... and then saved.
So normally, I then turn of and on WiFi on the Phone, reboot the router, reboot the phone and eventually it's going to work, but it may take 10 to 15 times.... Does anyone know, what might be the problem?
Next, if I reboot my phone, sometimes it will not recognize my Sim-Card, even though it's always inserted. Here too, I reboot my phone several times, untill it recognizes the card again. But if it does, it always changes my phone language from English to German (well, thats not a big issue for me, just wanted to list it aswell...)
And the last problem, which is also wlan related: For 2 weeks now, I'm no longer able to find the phone-hotspot on my Laptop. It worked without problem before, but now, I can't even find it in the Networks list from my Laptop.... I fear, that this might be related to my phone not connecting to WiFi Networks, alltough this works at least some times and my phone sees all the networks....
So what you think? Is there still hope for my phone or do I have to get a new one? Would be a shame, cause I really like it otherwise...
Thanks a lot for your help

same problem here.
Were you able to find a fix? Its a hardware issue, I think
Hey Folks,
i ran into some really weird, yet strange Problems with my Honor 7. Let me tell you what happend:
I used my Phone on B140 for more than 2 Years without any Problems. Now i upgraded to B396 (Removed Root+ChineseTWRP, Full Update to B396, then installed TWRP+SuperSU), and used it afterwards without any Problems for like a Week or so.
Then, i was on my Way, looked something on on Facebook, turned it off, after 2 mins wanted to turn it on again - no Reaction. Totally nothing Tried booting it up Normally, to Recovery, To Fastboot - with and without plugged USB to PC, absolutely nothing happend. Had it on Power for like half an Hour, nope. I was shure it died.
The morning after, i just pressed the Powerbutton as a way 2 say goodbye - Empty Battery Sign! Wtf?! I was able to charge and use it again. Unfortunatly with some minor Problems.
- Whatever i try, when calling, i can clearly hear the other person, but the other part cant hear me. I tried it both with headsets and normal, in- or outgoing call, doesnt matter. Generally the mic is working, though. Was able to record my voice and play it back.
- Bluetooth aint working anymore. When i try to turn it on, the switch stays in the right position (doesnt change the color anyway), and afterwords its flipping back. Oh, and when i look at the "about"Section, under Bluetooth Mac it states "not available".
So. What the h*** is going on there?! Like i said, after upgrading to B396, it was working for at least a week without any problems, without the problems described above. So i highly doubt its a general problem with the upgrade/flashing. But what else?
And, any advice how to a) fix and b) prevent further failures?
Of course it would be best to know what initially caused those problems, but i really cant tell. Anyone any ideas?
Like anyone else of course, one needs a reliable phone. I mean, im happy that i can at least communicate over IM (yes, 3G/4G works without any Problems). But i'd love to make calls again, to e.g. tell my boss id be slightly belated or let mum know everythings alright
So, any Idea what caused that, how to solve and prevent that is highly appreciated!
Greetings and Thankin u in advance!
Folks, i still have that strange Issue/Behaviour (though, of course, in the Meantime im using another Phone ).
But think that should be possible to totally, absolutely, reset the Phone, and trying to get rid of those Problems. Too Sad to see the Phone collecting dust, where it might be a great Device for a Friend.
What i did by now:
Unroot
Reflash Fastboot recovery, boot, cust, system.
Factory Reset
Update.zip in dload
But there is still no Bluetooth-Adress available, when calling i cant hear the other Person.
It somehow seems not to completely reset the phone - there are still user-data on the Phone.
As i really dont care about those data - is there something else i can do above fastboot flashing those files mentioned above, to absolutely start from a scratch?
