what do you guys think is a better phone out of those 2
in my country they are exactly the same in price but the view 20 is 8GB ram and 256GB storage while the mate 20 is 6GB and 128GB,
Am leaning toward the mate 20 due too the ultra wide camera but i tried both phones on the store and i was surprised that the view 20 feels a lot smoother and faster than the mate 20 it was very very noticeable,
but note that the mate 20 in the store was with firmware version 108
so anyone tried both ?
thanks in advance
you can't do wrong by going for View 20 it has better camera, but imo wait for P30 pro in 1 month
Hi guys, first of all I'd like to hear some opinions of the people who have actually used or owned the Note 9 and the Mate 20 pro. Because, long story short, a guy I know offers me to change his Mate 20 pro for my Note 9, just like that, both 6/128. Both unlocked. But I want to no if it'll be a good idea to trade my Note for his Mate. Thanks in advance.
buy note 9 with snapdragon if you plan play games

So, which phone would you choose if you could only have one?
Go to a shop try them both out pick which you prefer
I have the Mate 20 pro and my wife has the Note 9. I prefer Mate 20 Pro as it is faster and has better performance. Battery life is substantially better on the Mate 20 Pro. However if you really want the Note 9 for the S-Pen then get the Snapdragon version
I've traded my note 9 for the mate 20 pro.... Mate pro is performance wise waaaaaaayyy better
I was on s9+ before, and looking for note 9, but after checking some technical details, I saw that the only real difference between note 9 and s9+ was the spen... (camera is the same) no real evolution and design is not really "soft and clean" on note 9. I choosed mate 20 pro and love it for his design and technical capacity.

I had the note 9 since launch for about 6 months then went to the mate. I've never looked back, the mate feels way better in hand, performs much faster, more fluid, awesome phone.
Thanks a lot guys! I think I've made up my mind
I have the Note 9 and the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, the Note 9 is in the drawer. Used the 9 yesterday and put it back in the drawer.
Anyone getting the upcoming Mate 30 Pro?
Already a nice case available to buy!

That obviously isn't the Mate 30 Pro, it's the regular Mate 20.
The Mate 30 Pro will still have a curved OLED display, possibly curved from all 4 sides including top and bottom. The fingerprint scanner will be under the display and have a large recognition area where you can press your finger down almost anywhere to unlock (like the Vivo Apex 2). The rear cameras will still be in a square formation, but there will be a ToF sensor and optical zoom will upgraded from 3x to 5x. Same main camera sensor as the P30 Pro, but with 4K 60fps support thanks to Kirin 985 processor. Battery will be 4500mAh with 55W fast charging and much faster reverse wireless charging. 3D face unlock from the Mate 20 Pro will still be included.
Display design is still unknown. We don't yet know whether it will have a pop-up module with face scanning like the Find X, a small notch or something different. These are the only details we know about the phone so far from Chinese sources.
Lol

I'm sure Mate 30 Pro will improve on this one, just like the one after will improve upon that one as well.
Unlike my previous phones, I have no issues that would motivate me to get another phone. I would rather have a less restrictive rooting policy than get the next phone. The ROM development would skyrocket if that happened. What I love about Huawei Mate series is that it's hardware and specs are so competitive that it's reducing the phone aging effect. Most flagships are overrun within months of their release by newer phones. Mate phones seem to remain in the class of top phones for a little longer.
this company is dead because of American mate30 won't even release anymore

But Huawei's Google license being revoked doesn't mean the Mate 30 Pro won't be released. The device has already been fully developed and is undergoing prototype testing in China, earlier than the Mate 20 Pro was last year. The recent ban only stops Huawei from shipping the phone with Google services. Hardware won't change because it has already been ready for some time.
Huawei is already in talks with alternative app stores like Aptoide to bring a Play store replacement for the European market. The Mate 30 series will still run Android Q instead of Huawei's own "Hongmeng" OS, since Huawei's OS won't be out in European markets until 2020. The biggest question is how well the phone will sell in Europe without Google services.

Now ARM have suspended their dealings with Huawei, there's not much hope, Kirin chips relies on ARM technology.

I've changed over already to the Samsung S10+ and not regretting it one bit, the battery life is better than the Mate 20 Pro. Admittedly there's no Super Macro or Night Mode & Doesn't charge as fast, but the fingerprint sensor is 80% more accurate and reliable. The battery seems to learn and adapt itself to each day usage I'm on 8hr 20m SOT with phone calls and quite a few NFC Gpay transactions, SMSs & a few hours of Facebook and still have 22% battery (3hrs estimate left). I could only get about 7 hours with the Mate 20 Pro.

Yeah Exynos 9820
New information about the Mate 30 Pro has emerged from Chinese sources today:
https://new.qq.com/rain/a/20190531A01PSI00
Sharper 3680x1840 screen resolution (because the screen is bigger at 6.7 inches), but no 90hz refresh rate like on the OP7 Pro. Selfie camera will be in a punch-hole cutout, in the middle on the Mate 30 and all the way in the corner where the screen already curves on the Mate 30 Pro. 3D face recognition tech has been somehow built into the tiny top bezel, I have no idea how. Photography/video quality will improve thanks to the new Kirin 985 processor and 4K 60fps video recording will finally be possible.
Battery is 4500mAh with 55W wired fast charging, 30W wireless fast charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.

Sounds great, but if the Huawei US Ban is not lifted if it not have Android so it will be DOA in Europe.

Yep, it's possible the device won't even launch outside of China. Huawei is planning to launch the Chinese variant of their own OS (Hongmeng) with the Mate 30 family that comes on sale in November. The global variant of their OS (called ARK OS) won't be ready until next year, so they'll be forced to globally ship the Mate 30 with very bare-bones Android or not sell it outside of China at all. Almost nobody will purchase it here even if it does come on sale without Google services.
Just curious to see what Huawei has up its sleeve this time around, as last year the Mate 20 Pro was 5 months ahead of competition. A punch-hole design definitely doesn't sound mind-blowing or futuristic.
Help me to make a decision what phone I should buy for my wife.
I like both phones and read and have seen a lot of reviews on the net and YouTube. Both phones looks great and have great performance even the camera looks stunning on both phones.
But I really don't know what phone to choose and what you can recommend me.
Which phone have the best performance, camera and battery.
Thanks in advance.
My wife love to take a lot of photos!
What will your wife appreciate more, a better camera system and a better battery or the 90 Hz display and a headphone jack?
Even I've thinking about this in regards to my Mate 20 Pro, but I think I'll keep this one even though I love the 90hz
Also thinking about it while i have the Mate 20 pro and can still return it..
To consider as well is IP rating, wireless charging and slightly more compact format for the late 20 pro (if you can call 6.4' compact)
think the mate 20 pro the better choice for non tech user, EMUI should be more friendly and the camera should produce better results for point and shoot..
For XDA people, if I was sure I could unlock the bootloader on the realme I would jump
Hi,
I can get both the Note 10+ (Exynos) and 7T Pro quite cheap through my job. I can also wait for the 8 Pro. I feel like the S20 Ultra is too expensive for a phone. I guess 5G will be delayed due to Covid 19 anyway.
Which would you recommend for photo/video camera and general performance?
Battery are on par
performance of course 7t pro is better but almost unnoticable.
Warp charge is great.
90 fps but not working on most 3d apps.
But.
Note10+ has
Certify water resistance.
more on features, customization and themes benefit from one UI.
Unread badge build-in.
S-Pen.
Wireless charge.
some feature using curve screen vs curve for nothing.
Samsung DEX is one of useful feature for me.
for me if I have to pick one of them for free , of course note10+
But if I have to pay, I'll pick 7 pro (not 7t pro, not much different and ways cheaper).
I'm using 7t pro now.
