Hello,
I just bought a android 4.1.1 mobile that's model name is: Alps E1909l_v77_gq1008_a41_v20. You have probably have been asked this a lot but how can I root it with out bricking it?
I have tried using srsroot (the one click method which didn't work) and I tried using this MTK6577 root which also did not work. This is the phone I bought: amazon.co.uk/--/dp/B00BI1IXFY .
So please help as I really want to root it with out bricking it. As its one of the very vast range of different phones I doubt there is a root method for it that will work/not brick it. If you could before I root it could you tell me a way of backing up the Stock ROM WITHOUT rooting it? I have used adb to back it up but I don't know if that backups the whole phone ROM. All the methods I have used are the fourth post.
Thanks,
Zacy5000

I can point you to a one click root option then you can just use MTK Droid Tools to make back up of your stock firmware. OR you can use MTK Droid Tools to make a custom recovery that will allow you to make a back up in recovery (this way you can back up firmware before rooting but you will need to flash the custom recovery to device first) Let me know which way you prefer to proceed and I would be glad to help.

:victory: Glad to hear it worked for you. Now you would just need to use MTK Droid Tools to make a back up:

Hi,
can You make a backup of Your ROM? To try to port whatever other Android version, some parts of the original ROM would be required.
You can find good tutorials on Youtube for making a backup if You search for "MTK6592 MTK6582 How to backup your firmware"
For rooting the phone You can use Framaroot with Barahir exploit, available from XDA.
are you sattisfied with camera?

I have an Alps W-92 and while the resolution of the camera is quite ok (although don't compare it with an iNew V3) the automatic white balance is exceptionally bad.

Yes, Framaroot works only on the JellyBean fw, but You can root KitKat too, although differently. You have to flash CWM recovery using the SP Flash Tool and then flash the superuser.zip from the Clockworkmod team obtainable through the link in the Play Store using CWM. CWM recovery can be obtained from needrom.com .
A lot of the guides I see are for the MTK version, is there a guide to root and install TWRP on the Qualcomm Global version?
I have unlocked the bootloader ok.
Thanks!

Thanks a lot. Do you lose the OTA updates if you install TWRP and root?
Can i just root on top of the existing global ROM I have?
Hi Everyone,
I've just purchased a Teclast T20 tablet, and I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience with these. The build quality seems quite nice, but I can't find any information about them on here. Does anyone have any ideas to go about rooting it, or loading an 8.0 based ROM onto it? A TWRP file maybe?
Thanks

With root access is not a problem: program MagiskManager patch boot.img and flash it by SP Flash Tool.
TWRP can be ported from any device with Helio X27.
Root my teclast T20

What exactly can't be done? It's very simple: patch the boot.img according to instructions in the thread Magisk and then flash it with SP Flash Tool.

Many thanks for the information, I am really desperate with that matter.

Thanks a lot

Patch boot.img only on your tablet, and install a patched boot.img in the PC program. What's the firmware version on your tablet?

Hi there!
I want to root my Wiko View3. It‘s a mtk device with MT6762. Is there any way to grab the boot.img? I already unlocked the bootloader. It runs with Android 9. I can‘t find any TWRP Custom Recovery for this device. Or how can I get the scatter file?
Anyone found a solution to root the View 3 (Lite)?
Is there no way to root this device? Is it currently unrootable?
I think you can grab boot.img using fastboot and patch it manually.

How can I grab it? Is there a specific fastboot command for it?

I already know these threads. The instructions in the first thread only work for the Wiko View Version 1, not for the Wiko View 3. Also the mentioned TinnoEngineerMode in the second thread doesn't work for the Wiko View 3.

Try kingroot or kingo root, whatever its called. Your phone seems to be unpopular, that's why I think those applications will work. After that just install kingroot to SuperSU and grab the boot.img using root. Then unroot your phone, download magisk manager, install it, patch the boot.img then flash it via fastboot.
I've tried kingoroot, King Root, framaroot and towel Root, without success.
This device is just very new. It just came to the Market.

There is also some shorter ways to do the same, for example this app at LG 10 forums...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-k10/how-to/mediatek-easy-root-update-v1-0-3-t3944429
This less stable temp root should make that partition dump an easy task.
(if it works...)

Kingroot? WTF? Who's running KitKat? Some Lollipop devices can be rooted with Kingsroot, but not Pie!
I've never heard of this phone, I didn't know it was pie.
