I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy S10+. Few Days ago I installed Application Disable App through the Play Store and freeze the Magisk App. I stupidly later (idk why) un-installed Application Disable App without unfreezing Magisk App. Now i cannot find the Magisk App anywhere (in Settings -> My Apps too). I re installed the Application Disable App and it shows that my Magisk App is frozen but I cannot un-freeze it because I cannot grant it Super User Rights. I also tried re-installing Magisk App but it shows no root Access and shows N/A on Magisk Installed: .

And this over twrp and reinstall?
The easiest way to uninstall Magisk is directly through the Magisk app. If you insist on using custom recoveries, rename the Magisk APK to uninstall.zip and flash it like any other ordinary flashable zip.

Rename the APK to uninstall.zip and flash it in twrp, then flash then a renamed magisk.apk to magisk.zip. Maybe
Make a backup before

Hi guys, today I updated via OTA to MIUI 10 9.2.21, after that I reinstalled magisk and adaway but when I try to apply it says there's not enough space in the partition, so I tried to relocate the host file to DE /data/data folder as told by the app but it doesn't work, the link doesn't create . So I read that the solution could be un install system apps, so I downloaded Titanium Backup but it doesn't seem to un install any app, tried an app remover root from play store and CCleaner and that didn't work either, tried to remove some things in the /system folder but the delete process always fails. Don't know what to do to get adaway working again, it was working fine before the update.
Thank you in advance
Happened to me too if you try to install using magisk manager inside of android it won't work.
You have to install magisk initially in twrp for it to work.
No, I always install magisk first. Then I install an adaway downloaded apk. It always worked except for this time with the not enough space on partition issue
Already deleted 2 system apps (Bugreport and notes) with the adb and command method
Srill, adways says not enough space in the partition
Don't know what else to do, if it needs more space or what
This solution works on Mi8:
1. In Magisk manager tap "settings/systemless hosts". It should install systemless hosts module. Go check it in modules to confirm it is installed.
2. Reboot device
3. Install Adaway and apply ad-blocking. It should work now.

Was about to say the same good one mate
Hey mates
I recently rooted my pocophone and before I did that I did a "adb backup –all –f c:\backup.ab"
That worked fine, but now i have some Apps not working which I really need. Mainly a banking app.
So im considering going back to unroot the device.
What would be the correct way to do that? Use Xiaomi Flash Tool and then do the restore or can I do the restore just now?
Also is there a way to backup some apps like google authenticator?
Thanks for the help!

would this "Magisk Hide" allow me to stay rooted and fool the banking applications that the device is not rooted?

I've also flashed the custom rom Pixel Experience
Thx for your Help!

Yes It Will But If It's Still Doesn't Work Then Hide Magisk Manager (By Hiding It Will Repackage The App With An Random Name So Banking And Other Apps Doesn't Detects Root Access) And Re-Install The App Or Clear The App Data (You Doesn't Need To Clear Data/Uninstall And Install The App This Is Just To Make Sure That The App Doesn't Detect Root Access Even When Root Access Hided Apps Like Fortnite Detects Root Access After Hided So You'll Need To Uninstall/Clear App Data)

Can you please stop using caps for the first letter of every word? Makes reading and understanding difficult.

Simply go to Settings in Magisk Manager, the option to hide is the fourth from the top. Then uninstall and reinstall the app which is giving you trouble (HSBC app).

No. What you are talking about is Magisk Hide in Settings. What I was talking about was Hide Magisk Manager, the fourth option in Settings. This hides Magisk Manager itself by renaming it. You simply click it and you will get a popup saying that the Magisk Manager was renamed as xxxx. Try it.
Hi, i'm trying to install youtube vanced but can't get it to work. I'm using twrp and my phone is rooted. I also made 100% sure that the youtube app is uninstalled and automated updates are off in play store.
What happens is:
I can install the zip without errors with twrp. But in android there is no app shown and neither in Titanium backup. However i can find a apk called YouTube.apk that has the youtube vanced logo in the folder directory rootdirectory/System/System/App/Youtube
I also did try to install a older version but that didn't help. And i made sure with the app droid info that i'm on arm64-v8a and i'm using the right apk.
I just can't figure out what to do and didn't find anything helpful googling.

Hello friends I installed and rooted my phone by magisk, but some apps like Samsung pass, secure folder, Samsung flow don't work on my phone now. it says your phone is rooted the app not run for security reasons. I checked the app in magisk hide but the apps still not work, any suggestions?
on Magisk setting click " Hide Magisk Manager "
also add the apps that detect root on "Magisk Hide"
also you can try downloading Magisk Module that hide being rooted it might work
I just installed the app and it shows that " Launching the app on rooted device is blocked". So I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it again and used magisk hide. Also, I have hide magisk manager already enabled in magisk settings but the app still doesn't budge and somehow still detects root and thus I can't use it. Any solutions ?
I'm on MIUI EU 11.0.6 rooted with magisk 20.4
seshStation 5.1 kernel
Official latest TWRP recovery.

Do you pass safetynet?
There's a magisk hide config module in magisk downloads if you don't.

Yes I'm passing safety net. Both the magisk manager and the check SafetyNet app confirm the same.

You could flash your original boot image and see if it's related with the kernel, just in case.

I was thinking the same. I'll reply with the results. Thanks
You could try renaming the magisk manager.
It worked for me with the McDonald's App.
You can find it in the settings from magisk manager. Give the app a random name like managerxy3 and use magisk hide option, just in case.
Maybe try core mode only, if you only need root and don't use any modules.

I already have that enabled (Hide magisk manager). It's in the OP. I only have busybox by osmosis installed in magisk modules.
I just installed Paytm First Games (Lite? ) and upon launching it asked to Login via OTP/Paytm. I didn't proceed any further. Magisk 20.4,crDroid 6.4.

Yup the lite version on the play store works but not the full version downloadable from their official website
So is there any solution to this??
How the paytmfirstgame (full version) deteck root after renaming magisk , passing safetynet and hiding app from magisk manager. I think magisk is now not a bigshot
Still can't open Paytm First Games even after using Magisk Hide
Any solution?
Facing the same issue. Do we have any solution on how to make the paytmfirstgames app work on rooted device?
