Hi, I have xiaomi Mi 10 5g and I am still on android 11. I didn't receive any update from official settings. I have also checked extra but there is nothing. I have read that update is already out for 3-4 months. Should I do sth. extra to receive it or is it available only for manual installation?
Thanks
yes mi 10 5g updated to android 12 couple months ago for all
you can flash android 12 Rom with "mi flash"

Hey guys,
I got my RN3 a month ago and since last 2 weeks i am trying to unlock the bootloader using the official method.
I had asked MI for permission and I got it within 3 days. Now since 2 week I am trying to unlock the bootloader but I keep getting the error on MIUnlock "Couldn't verify Device".
I am using the latest MIUnlock version.
I have searched extensively for a solution to the problem but unfortunately all the work arounds are not working for me.
I have tried it on the stock ROM that the phone came with.
The latest stable global ROM from MI V7.3.7.0. MIUI7
The beta global ROM from MI MIUI8
Same error everywhere. The process stops at 50%.
I am skeptical to try the unofficial method since it could brick my phone. But may go through with it if there is no other option.
Basically I want to root the phone and flash a CM13 ROM.
Please help me out
Thanks
Mine had said the same error failed at 50% - mine shipped with miui V7.3.6.0 (some vendor firmware I guess), here is what I did to fix it.
I have the redmi note 3 pro so this will apply only for the kenzo (snapdragon version)- I am not familiar with the mediatek one.
1. Install Xiao Mi Flash (beta) , then boot the phone into fast boot mode (from power off state - hold vol down + power until you see it say fast boot.), in Mi Flash at the bottom select clean all
2. extract the kenzo "fast boot" firmware
http://en.miui.com/a-234.html (find the firmware in the list)
IE:
Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm Latest Global Stable Version Fastboot
(kenzo_global_images_V7.3.7.0.LHOMIDD_20160523.0000.23_5.1_global)
3. Select the extracted firmware folder in the Mi Flash program, hook the phone up and you should see it in the list, then click flash to flash it.. (this will erase all data)
after it finishes let it boot up it might take 10-15 minutes, then you can try to unlock it again, at this point it should pass now verification and unlock officially. - after success let it reboot again and it might take another 10-15 minutes to finish up.
(this is because it clears the phone data so it has to re-optimize all the apps).
do at own risk it worked for me but due to all the various methods the vendors use to flash this phone who knows if it will work for everyone...

hello,
i am not able to use miflash(beta) due to some qualcomm driver error because i am on 32 bit system. Instead i am using miflash 2015 10.28.0 which have 3 options like flash all, flash all except storage ,flash all except data and storage.which one to choose?
look at the image i have attached for your reference
first I suggest installing the Mi PC Suite (just to get the correct drivers installed), then try XiaoMiFlash again
http://en.miui.com/thread-92720-1-1.html
here is the Xiao Mi Flash I used.

MiFlashSetup-Beta.zip (29.53 MB, Downloads: 96818)
I had to link my phone first before the Unlock tool would work. So login into you Mi Account on the phone first.
I had the same problem because i hadnt installed the miui dev rom yet..
the only solution is flashing DEV ROM
it worked for me
Xiaomi different versions LOL + "current account is not bound to this device!' error
I finally found out there are looooooooooads of Redmi types, unbelievable!
Maybe Xiaomi should minimize their offer, I thought I had a Redmi Note 3, but I finally found out it's a
Xiaomi Redmi 3 IDO (3A) Snapdragon LOL
I ordered one for my daughter, and now I see it's actually a Redmi Note 3 (bit more expensive and different at the back).
==> So i'm busy checking out how to flash, I got the official sms to unlock the locked bootloader and the first part goes to 100%, but theb I have another error : "Current account is not bound to this device!"
I'll guess some more errors will follow seen this long & difficult process
I dowloaded the latest miui_MI6Global_7.8.10_024aaf1afd_7.1 of this week, but now I need to get rid of that error & locked bootloader.
Do I need to flash an old beta rom first or something to get rid if this error message ?
Nice to see a fellow Belgian here
I am a bit confused. You are trying to flash your Redmi 3 (ido)?
Because the ROM you say you've downloaded is one for Xiaomi Mi 6...
Could you provide some information (screenshot of your 'about phone' with the current installed MIUI ROM etc?)
When I unlocked my ido's bootloader last year, I flashed the Chinese developer ROM using MiFlash, coming from a fake vendor ROM via EDL mode. Then in China dev ROM I unlocked the bootloader using MiUnlock.
After that I flashed TWRP (flash lazyscript before booting into the system or change to custom ROM immediatly because dm-verity is a b****).
I believe in recent ROMs, EDL mode was blocked by Xiaomi.
About the error: make sure you log in to the unlock tool with the same account as you are logged in to on your phone (the account with unlock permission). Then go to "developer options - Mi Unlock status" and make sure your account has been bound to the device there.
USB-debugging should be enabled, as well as OEM-unlock.
I do not know when you received the unlock code, but it is possible you'll have to wait a week or so. A lot of people have found that it suddenly works after a few days of waiting.
If you cannot switch to a developer ROM due to locked EDL mode, you should be able to flash your ido with locked bootloader using xiaomitool. http://en.miui.com/thread-835254-1-1.html
With this tool you can switch between MIUI ROMs on a locked bootloader.
I don't see any reason on why you download Mi 6 (sagit) recovery ROM instead of Redmi 3 (or Redmi Note 3 if it's what you're talking about) one. For "Current account is not bound to this device" error, wait for at least a week after you bind your Mi account with your phone before unlocking.
Good luck.
Sent from my Redmi 3 using XDA Labs
Haha greetz to Belgium too Yes I was a long time since I checked the latest roms / Xiaomi phone versions
Now I have a rooted stable MIU9 V9.2.2.0 Laicnek and looking for the best battery saving Kernell, hope I can flash this simply with TWRP as everything is installed allready
What do I need to choose again in the options to flash a Kernell only ?
Otherwise the Lineos 15 with the latest Oreo (if there is an official version 15 already, as I see only a beta 2)
Net is working fine (both on wi-fi and mobile), Mi account is connected and tied to the account for sure (after using device finder on the phone it started to ask for the account every time I flash ROM). It will say "Preparing to add account and device.." then near instantly "Connect to network and try again", tried logging off the Mi account then log through Mi Unlock status (like it says in "Detailed Guide to Unlock Bootloader" on the Mi community site), it lets me log but then instantly says the 2 messages so back to square 1.
Phone is a Redmi 3 (ido) from 2016, with the latest official ROM MIUI 9.6.2.0 global, I had to update from the ****ty vendor ROM it came with (Stable 7.9.2.0 LHOCNCL) since Mi Unlock status was missing and the updater app also couldn't connect to net (official ROM solved this, but I can't ignore the similarity), I also saw some older posts with this phone about the same on different sites but none had a solution (also joined on a very recent one on Mi community, but no luck).
I am stuck right now, Mi unlock always stops at 99% then tell me to use Mi unlocker status so bootloader is still locked and I can't try previous versions of MIUI (only lets me 9.6.1 and 9.5.3 but same issues) since Xiaomi was kind enough to add rollback protection without any warning on their site or when updating since vendor ROM was 7.9, so it didn't have (and I could've at least made my way up to the latest that way).
I really don't know what to do, is there any way to ask for a manual Mi unlock status from xiaomi or something they can do if I go to 1 of their official shop (although waranty is long over)?
Here is some other infos of the phone:
MIUI version: MIUI Global | Stable 9.6.2.0(LAIMIFD)
Android version: 5.1.1 LMY47V
Android security patch level: 2017-01-01
Baseband version: FAAANUZM-1.56482.1.63385.1_V013
Kernel version: 3.10.49.perf-g13b30f1
Hello..
I have a query to the community since I am new to the xiaomi world.
More than a week ago I received the Android 11 update, I installed it, but the battery drains me too much and to tell the truth I occupy the phone a lot so I would like to go back to an earlier version of Android or Miui, however, investigating A bit about the process, I found an article on Anti rollback and that is the reason that brings me here.
I did the fastboot getvar anti verification process and the result was Anti: 2.
Before this, I had tried to install the global version of miui 11.0.8 via fastboot, but the process triggered these anti-rollback error lines.
My question is this; Can I downgrade the Xiaomi mi note 10 lite as other users can with other models or can I not perform the degradation due to the risk of deep blocking?
If someone has gone back to an earlier version I would ask for a guide and if not, I would appreciate any guidance.
Cheers
Good evening ..
For all those interested in downloading the official ROM version of the Xiaomi mi note 10 Lite, I have news for you, at least for those who want and have not tried.
I tried the method of saving the MiFlash folder on Disk C, in the same way I did with the global ROM of miui 11.0.8 fastboot, to the latter I changed the name of the folder to a shorter one (example Miui11.0.8), then boot in fastboot mode and run my flash running the ROM (Miui11.0.8) and the result obtained is that, I'm back on Android 10 with miui 11.0.8.
I share this information to give security to all those who had doubts about this and did not dare to try.
This data I extracted from various forums and pointed to it to give credit to all those who previously published it.
Remember that the bootloader must be unlocked.
Regards.
Hello
I have my mi 11 lite 5g in a boot loop (MI 11 LITE 5g M2101K9G). I have no access to the operating system which is corrupt.
I tried to unlock the bootloader using the official tool but it was not able to. The phone colapsed and lost the operating system.
I have not lost access to my xiaomi account though.
I can access in recovery mode but I haven got the indicated recovery ROM which is v13.0.2.0.skieuvf as indicated in the MI FLASH PRO SOFTWARE.
An agent told me this ROM belongs to Vodafone firmware developer but I have not succeded contacted them yet.
I need to know if I could flash a stable ROM via Recovery mode or fastboot mode
Please I need some help on how to solve this big problem
Many thanks
