Question US version (XQ-CT62) t-mobile: no data/internet connection??!! - Sony Xperia 1 IV

hi community, i got my usa version of 1 iv and worked with mint-mobile (using t-mobile's network) to connect/activate. Calling/word text worked fine (image via text did not work), but no internet/data connection over 5g/LTE while browsing. Tech support could not get it working and escalated ... wondering if anyone would know how/what could be done. Thx!!

You must be missing the APN config on your device for TMobile. also, check if mobile data is enabled.
Here is T-Mobile info on how to setup Tmobile USA APN:

Not related to the post (getting T-Mobile service) on any of the Asian firmwares at the moment.
I flashed the Euro, US firmwares and no signal at all. The radio power in hidden menu shows as off.
Does anyone know if crossflashing with this model also flashes the radio modem?
Seems to have worked naturally for Xperia 1 II and Xperia 1 III.
Not sure why this doesn't work now aside from intentionally restricting the phone to the intended region model.

Mine is XQ-CT72 global version on US T-Mobil.
I'm getting 800+, but US version should be better because of better band selection.
Mine goes that fast only certain places.

I own the USA variant of the phone and I have absolutely no issues with 5G data nor wi-fi. The only issues I am experiencing is the fact that voice over Wi-Fi has not been provisioned. Coincidentally my phone also tells me within engineering mode that video over Wi-Fi is also not implemented. Sony wants to point the finger at T-Mobile and T-Mobile wants to point the finger at Sony.
Other than that I love this phone.

I have the correct APN that you mentioned and still no luck for voice over Wi-Fi. I spent over half an hour with a T-Mobile troubleshooting technician and she was not able to remedy the scenario. They have created a trouble ticket and forwarded up the food chain. They claim you will take about 3 days for them to get back to me so cross your fingers (VoWifi).

Ah, that is a different question. that means you are able to get data and your problem is only with VoWiFi which is expected. your original post question was totally different.
Sony blocks TMO VoWiFi in their software by blocking the network code in their settings. You will never get VoWiFi with Sony and TMO together unless you root and hack your sony build settings to enable it.
Your next best option is to move to GoogleFi that uses TMO network and you will be able to get the full VoWiFi service there since it has different network code.

Rats. I've been looking to upgrade from my Note 10+ on T-Mobile, and the Xperia 1 IV looked promising, but VoWiFi being nerfed is a non-starter for my needs. Curse the manufacturers for moving away from expandable storage!

T-Mobile basically did a bunch of farting around and could not provision Wi-Fi calling on my phone. I have confirmed from at least three people on XDA developers that the workaround is to jump on board with Google fi since they do support Wi-Fi calling provisioning.... Or somehow root your phone and find an engineering workaround.

It is Still a good attempt from TMO to try to help, It is really not TMO fault here as nothing they can do. Sony is at fault blocking TMO network code in their VoWiFi software.
Sony has decided to block this service from the second largest US carrier, wondering why Sony sales not picking up in the US

seriously genuine question......why is that so important? I mean, can't you just call a person on whatsupp or telegram or any other service? After all, it is just VOIP, right?

Since WCDMA and GSM are sunset, if you want to call someone or receive calls with your phone, you need VoLTE or VoNR. TG and Whatsapp are not that popular in the US, and imagine someone wanting to use their phone as a phone....

well, I get that. We still have 3G and GSM. And every time I work on new rollout things are more and more complicated because of all generations are still in use. Connecting to a unknown wifi every time seems very not practical and if it is not opened public network (which again is not great) how does that work then? I get it if you are at home/family/friends but my question is more like, no cell signal, jut some random wifi. To me it looks more like a patch then an actual service/solution for the lack of cell signal. Or is that something that you really can rely on?

The issue is when I'm in my local public supermarket there is no T-Mobile coverage in the building. There is Wi-Fi and I do use Google meet and other apps over Wi-Fi but if someone calls my phone number my phone will not receive the call. That is the point.
Someone would have to actually know that I'm in a no coverage area and utilize one of those other apps to reach me. If not businesses, job offers, local businesses that don't know me personally, someone new that I've met etc etc would never get through to me and I would eventually receive some type of voicemail message indication. That is unacceptable when you have children and other family members and friends that need to get in contact with you immediately.

Exactly the point, your phone number is the primary way many reach you. if your phone does not have any 3G\4G\5G coverage, then WiFi might be your only other option that gives people the ability to call you directly with your phone.

OK, but who provides wifi? I get that is is just a voip, but you still need internet connection. So instead of cellular it uses wifi.
Here, in many big business buildings or malls we have indoor base stations, sometimes it is combo indoor and out door. Indoor usually is set up as MIMO so all of the providers share the same indoor infrastructure.
Also, many of public places have a wifi but since we are covered with cell signal, nobody really cares about it. Mostly because you can't just connect to it. you need a pass from your bus ticket or your bill in bars or are greeted with front page of the mall that wants you to register and so on. So using wifi here is PITA, that's why I wonder how all that works there and why is it such a big deal.

There are many places that I have frequented where cellular data and cellular calling will not go through. In those places Wi-Fi is available. While you can use WhatsApp and other individual applications to make video calls and even voice calls you will not be able to receive native incoming calls when someone calls your regular phone number nor will you be able to use your native dialer to make a regular phone call if Wi-Fi calling is not provisioned on your phone. Unfortunately our phones do not get provisioned for T-Mobile Wi-Fi calling apparently due to some issue between the Sony and T-Mobile. So by switching to another carrier or mvno, Wi-Fi calling will be enabled reportedly.
UPDATE: Switched to Google Fi.... Problem solved. Wi-Fi calling now enabled.

That part I get, but still don't know which wifi do you use for that. For mobile network, there is a SIM that handles the connection between cells. Phones can't connect to any available wifi, right. So..... I get what it is, but as someone who works on cell towers installations and from perspective of wifi networks here and my knowledge I still don't get which wifi do you use in that case.

It can work on any Wi-Fi network that has adequate bandwidth. I can go to my local Publix supermarket....no cellular signal in there: I turn my WiFi on, I can make/receive calls with the native phone dialer. No cellular tower needed.
Even tested this at home.... I turned Airplane mode on, then afterwards I ONLY turn wi-fi on.... Calls can be made/received.

VoIP on wifi

A friend of mine has a wifi enabled samsung phone with T-Mobile so when he goes to jobs or his house where he doesn't have any T-Mobile range he can enable the wifi and once connected all calls in or out are handled by VoIP and the mobile service is disabled. This way his same T-Mobile Number is used. Is there a way I can setup my phone to work this same way? I am moving to a farm out in the country where there is no cell coverage so I want to setup my phone to go wifi around the farm.

I was using Skype lowcpu cab.. they could hear me clear as day, but I ended up with a choppy reception of them.
One more weird thing was I couldn't get GPS to lock while I was over there.. It'd pull up the sats, but I'd never get a triangulation.

Although this is Not mogul specific it is a similar thing that you plug into your router and use your internet connection to create a viop cell based mini cell tower works with all sprint cdma phones. So if you will have broadband out @ your farm you can get this. As long as you are in range of your airave box you will not get charged usage minutes, however you are not allowed to use data off of the airave just voice i don't know if that means you won't get text messages or not as it does not say in the brochure or video, it just states that you cant download or use the web on your phone when in airave range. The service can be added to any sprint phone for $15 a month and you get unlimited min while talking off of the airave signal. Any sprint phone can use it up 2 3 phones @ a time but if you don't have the airave on your plan you will get charged cell min based on your plan. If you have a windows mobile phone with wireless the data part of this should not be an issue as we can browse the web off of our wifi on the mogul.
check the site out if you have sprint its similar to T-Mobiles approach but this service will work with any sprint cdma phone as it basically is a mini cell tower that uses your internet to connect to the sprint network to make calls over your cdma bands. T-Mobiles service requires a phone that is compatible.
http://www.sprintenterprise.com/airave/
After reading up on some of the FAQ's I noticed you can use data as normal but it is charged according to your plan and is offered @ the same performance level of current sprint internet no mention of EVDO speeds
Can I use all my normal phone functions like voicemail and text messaging with AIRAVE?
Yes. All the voice functions you enjoy with your Sprint CDMA handset can be used while you are within the AIRAVE coverage area. And while data applications are accessible, they are provided at the same performance level as is currently available through Sprint Vision. In addition, data usage is not part of the unlimited plan.
What is the range of the Sprint AIRAVE?
The coverage radius is up to 5,000 square feet.
Does a wireless call I make within AIRAVE coverage continue once I leave the coverage area?
Yes. Calls originating inside the AIRAVE coverage area transfer to the Sprint Nationwide Network once you leave the AIRAVE coverage area.
Note: you will be billed at your regular wireless plan rate for the portion of the call that has been transferred to the Sprint Nationwide Network.
Does a wireless call that starts outside of my home transfer to the Sprint AIRAVE coverage area when I arrive home?
Calls made outside the AIRAVE coverage area are not transferred to the AIRAVE device even though you may be within the coverage area. If you wish to take advantage of the unlimited calling feature of AIRAVE, you must end the call that was placed outside of the coverage area and initiate a new call on the AIRAVE device.
Can I restrict who has access to my Sprint AIRAVE?
Yes, you can limit who has access to your AIRAVE device by creating a list of approved Sprint phone numbers (up to 50 phone numbers). You can create your list by calling Customer Care at (888) 211-4727.
Can other Sprint customers use my Sprint AIRAVE?
All Sprint customers with a Sprint CDMA handset can use the AIRAVE device. However, the customer must have the unlimited calling plan on their account in order to take advantage of the unlimited calling plan.
some of the more important questions that the FAQ answers
Thanks, I will check into this.
I installed Skype from the website, but I get no sound when a call connects. Can anyone help? Also where did you get the Skype lowcpu cab?
Skype Low CPU cab.. it's the only one I've got to work decently with the Titan.

interesting question, and i would like to mention that what you want is basically, all the same cell phone shebang, but over WiFi, am i correct?
If this is so, id probably imagine its a Carrier given feature. I would like to divulge on this more, as i would love this as well.
Yes, its a carrier-specific feature. T-mobile basically has a VOIP service back end into their system as well as the GSM front end.
That way, your phone can switch between using GSM towers or the internet, and either way reach T-mobile.
Since Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, etc... do NOT have such a back end in place, you can't call with your normal phone line over IP.
what you CAN do, however, is set up an additional line with some voip carrier such as broadvoice, freedigits, vonage, skype, etc... and then run that second line from your handset over IP.
I used to do this in my office where I had no cell reception- I'd have my calls forwarded to a freedigits line, which has free incoming calls over IP. The caller would be transfered to my other number without knowing. The problem is, if I called them back, it would be from some number that they wouldn't recognize as my own.
I wrote about it over a year ago here:

No. I had this working somewhere around dcd 3.2.1, but since I upgraded to 3.2.2 and now 3.2.5 it isn't working anymore. It worked well with older dcd versions though, but don't quote me on the 3.2.1. It might have been before that but I'm pretty sure it was 3.2.1 if you really want to give it a shot. I would soft reset after Skype install before launching it.

[Q] T-Mobile admits Vibrant has no UMA support

Ive had many "not registered" errors when trying to place a calls over WiFi and called in for support to TMo many times. The third week and the fourth or fifth "PDA" service guy went all out and then gave up and turned me over to "Loyalty". Its like getting switched to the inquisition. THEY told me, 'bad news' Vibrant can't make calls over WiFi. SO I confessed it only worked 50% of the time.
When I agreed to take the phone, TMo said it would support UMA. In the mean time I think they decided they would not support UMA. I can call TMo phone mail no problem and the phone rings and then disconnects. It will make a call from "voice" but shows the not registered error when I dial a number. It has to be TMo router settings. They offered to send me a 3G Curve which they said would support UMA telephony, but they had no other phones - oh yah maybe the "Shaddow" was available but even they wouldn't go so far. I'm SOOOO sick of RIM, really, really sick. So I rejected that. So now I'm making calls and receiving calls over WiFi, but not reliably and with no support.
I'm fairly certain this is the tip of the big iceberg. My Vibrant was very early pre-purchase, so it might not have had all the TMo down mods. Never the less, it seems crazy that I would pay them to use my own DSL/WiFi as I seem to be doing with my HTC Incredible/Verizon phone. It works great, but of course I pay.
TMo gave me some questionable information regarding using Vonage, which I found does is not suposed to work with the Vibrant. They also said no Android phone will work with TMo hot spots, which I am inclined to accept. It appears all the carriers will do anything to keep a branded hand set off of free WiFi telephony. So I'm trying Google Voice. It registers, but I have so far not recieved a call to my new Gvoice phone number.
Do I need to root the phone? Are there apps that will help? Does any one out there think the 2.2 upgrade with the TMo holy water has a ghost of a chance of making WiFi phone calls without a TMo charge? My Incredible/Verizon still tethers on PDA-net and I think that is not charged. But I'm not clear on that either.
I just pre-bought a Tab through Cell Phone Hut. I will see if a device free of TMo tweeks will route telephony over WiFi. All I really need is a cheep pre-paid SIMS card for OTA. It's nuts thinking to pay 3G or 4G OTA data rates when the same data is free over WiFi. There will be many Android apps to do all your data I/O when you are in range.
cheers all... thx for any light on this!
Umm what? You're able to make calls on wifi 50% Of the time. You can make Google voice calls over wifi? You were told the vibrant would have uma? ?? Maybe I'm misunderstanding you but....
Google voice is NOT a voip service so i think you're misjudging its use.
Vibrant was never said to have wifi calling, just like every other android.
An app called kineto was recently announced that does wifi calling but its not uma. it doesn't hand off to cell network. Its announced to be available for the new mytouch n moto defy.
Also, tmo uma will no longer give you 'free calling'. It takes from your minutes so its only real advantage is to extend coverage.
I'm a woman. Stop assuming everyone on this forum is a bro, dude, or man. Sent from my Vibrant.
The Vibrant hasn't been confirmed to ever get Wifi calling but it was demo'ed on a Vibrant running 2.2. The feature could possibly be added to the vibrant once it receives the 2.2 update.
This is strange. We've had our vibrants about a week. When I'm home I have the Wifi turned on. The signal bars drop to zero. I have just assumed that my voice calls were going over Wifi to our DSL modem over the Internet.
Note: We happen to have a T-Mo wireless router from back in the days when we were using it with our Blackberries to keep the minutes down. Subsequently T-Mo switched us to an unlimited plan, but we still use this router for one hard-wired home line.

Signal bars dropping to zero is just a visual indicator; doesn't necessarily mean there is zero signal, just not enough signal to flip the visual indicator. This happens to me quite a lot - I have no signal, but someone calls me and the call quality is fine.
In any case - basic logical fallacy - correlation does not necessarily imply correlation. Although it would be super nice to make calls over wifi!
<------ Tmo Retail Rep
There is no Android phone that supports UMA at the moment. The only Android that will have UMA that has been announced so far is the myTouch HD. Not sure why someone would tell you the Vibrant has the feature.
Not only that, 0 bars doesn't mean no service. The circle with a slash means no service
I'm a woman. Stop assuming everyone on this forum is a bro, dude, or man. Sent from my Vibrant.
Where was it ever said that the Vibrant would have UMA? Its one thing if a rep was mistaken but no slick, ad, spec sheet, or anything else that I recall ever implied that UMA was going to be available. I came from a Blackberry to the Vibrant so I felt I was aware that UMA was not available.
UMA in Android NOT
Apparently Android has no UMA support, but a lot of people want it:
Check out Issue 6242 - Google's board for android code / issues.
I am thinking about moving to vibrant and tmobile. the only thing that is stopping me is the lack of uma support on the vibrant. Does anyone know whether this is capability will be added with the 2.2 update??
Have you guys not tried any of the new leaked froyo roms? They all have wifi calling and it works, although its not uma and doesn't hand off it works great. This is actually a Godsend for I have had Tmobile for 7 years and I get no service in my house, finally a solution. I'm not sure this will be released in the upcoming froyo update or it was just pulled from the Mytouch4g and they made it work for our phones.

Question about T-mobile's HTC One

Hi, I have a few questions about using the One on T-Mobile as its been a few years since I left T-Mobile. Thanks in advance!
As far the WiFi calling feature or UMA service goes it will only work on T-Mobile's official version is that correct? I was told the dev edition will work on T-mobile but it won't be able to use wifi calling or Hspa+
What plans have this WiFi calling feature? Is it limited to postpaid plans only or can I use that $30 5GB data plan and still have the WiFi calling feature?
If I understand correctly, the WiFi calling will allow me to use my T-Mobile number abroad to make and receive calls as if in still in the United States as long I am connected to a wifi network right? That would be great since I plan to travel abroad for a few months and it would be very convenient if I didn't have give all my contacts a new phone number every couple weeks or so.
The final question is if I go with the new uncarrier plan and buy the HTC One for $99 will they unlock the phone for me so I can use it abroad before the phone is paid off? I am not sure with their uncarrier strategy if they will force you to pay your phone off completely before they unlock it for you. I am unsure but I think before they were unlocking phones after the remorse period and you are locked into contract.

1. Yes.
2. I think it is included on all plans, but I'm not sure.
3. Not sure, but be aware that many hotels overseas charge for WiFi (still cheaper than calling).
4. You have to pay off the phone before they will unlock it.
To expand on the wifi calling question...If youre connected to wifi anywhere in the world, you can call anywhere in the US (assuming your 911 address is in the US) for free. Calling outside the US will result in standard TMo long distance charges. So if youre in Brazil connected to wifi, calling a Brazil number would carry the same charges as if you were calling from the US.
I have used wifi calling in 3 different countries and know this to be true. One other thing to mention, depending on where youre going, the wifi in many hotels I was in was sketchy at best. Not the best for wifi calling.

Thanks! Yes, my main need is to stay connected with the US as I'll be using Skype unlimited world to make calls in the current area I'm in. As long as I can use my phone as if it is still in the States I'm a happy camper. Also I really want to know if the $30 5GB prepaid plan support this feature as I feel that the $50 uncarrier plan is a bit excessive since I will not be using my phone in the states.

I work for a tmo store.
Yes the prepaid will for WiFi calling BUT unlike a postpaid plan, it will still use your minutes.
On a postpaid plan WiFi calling does not subtract from your minutes
Prepaid the WiFi calling still works but it will subtract from your minutes still

Thank you! that is the information I needed.:highfive:
one of the roms in the international forum has included wifi calling for tmobile users. i think either trickdroid or renovate
We just spent 2 weeks in China and received all texts and phone calls while using the hotels free wifi, it is one of the greatest features that Tmobile has. Calls were mostly clear with occasional drops, we were using a stock note 2.

[Q] Ultra basic xperia Z ultra question

My better half caught me looking at the Xperia z ultra. She surprised me with a c6833 model. It should be here the end of the week.
We are over-the-road truck drivers running the lower 48 states. Our phones are on Verizon. I do a lot of calling to book loads and Internet searches. I do some streaming of music and video.
Can I move my Verizon sim card to the new phone? I know I will not get LTE service from Verizon. What I can't find is the simplest questions . Will the phone even make calls, text or MMS? Can I get other Internet service that is non-LTE? Can I connect to my wife's hotspot to get LTE Internet? I may have to get a T-Mobile account, but if there are work arounds I would rather not.
I know around here these are basic questions but if you are going to learn to count to 10, you have to learn how to count to 3 first.

Yes , u can get internet service with non-LTE. You will be gettin Wifi-Connection when you connect to Wife's Hotspot. Data Transfer would be faster cause as you said your Wife has LTE.

C6833 - LTE for T-Mobile
C6806 - LTE for T-Mobile and AT&T
C6802 - 3G for all networks
So even thought you have the single band LTE device, you will still get 3G coverage and data/ downloads. You will also be able to connect to your wife's hotspot and get LTE that way. But wont be as fast as LTE through a provider as its piggybacking.
I would suggest getting a T-Mobile account. (if they have coverage for where you will be)

The problem with the "where you are" plan is we drive 1000+ miles per day. We have no idea where that would be. So as long as I can make the call part work and there is a work around for the interest, I'm happy. The super big screen when viewing load details will far out weigh some of the small draw backs like no LTE or having to connect to a hotspot. We drive for me hours in some states where we don't even have basic phone service.

yeah I know what you mean. I travel a lot of part of my job, and often I have zero reception too. You'll be happy with your version of the Ultra. wifi hotspots will be the best choice and other than that 3G will suffice.. :good: or nothing...

While I'm not a cheap SOB, okay I am, if it gets to bad I'll pay up for an account at T-Mobile, but why if I don't really have to?
Thanks everyone. While I can find info down to the glue it's stuck together with I couldn't find the basics of can I call home on it. I'll bet I can find somewhere if ET can phone home with it.

Will it work on AT&T

Hi
I wanted to buy this from gearbest.
Will it work on AT&T with all the LTE bands?

I'd like to say "yes", but have found out the hard way that it depends on exactly which part of AT&T's network you intend to use it on.
I created a thread which I haven't yet updated, which outlines some issues I had. Turns out that my X820 as well as a different LeEco X82X (can't remember - same model ) do NOT work with AT&T in my area at all, and I live very close to the antennae. However, when I travel out of town, the phones work great. AT&T can't seem to figure out why this part of their network is different, but something certainly is. YMMV.
At the moment, there doesn't seem to be a large enough sample size in the US to compare notes and find possible network issues with this phone.
I have it, and it works for me in North Florida in AT&T

I have more info on my issue with this phone on AT&T, and it's an odd one. LTE works great, but if I am directly under the antennae, or within line of site of them, 3G shows full bars, but it does not work and I cannot place or receive a call. If I walk a block away, and have a building between the phone and the antennae, 3G works perfectly. If I initiate a call where it works, I can move back to LOS, and call does not drop. No other phone seems to have this issue, so there is something very different in the 3G implementation in these phones which is responsible for this.
I wish someone out there had an idea as to what is causing this. One of AT&T's network engineers, who witnessed this first-hand, is stumped and I'm short on ideas to remedy it.

I got an x829 yesterday (live in the US) and plan on using it with Straight Talk/AT&T (getting the nano sim now). Have you flashed yours to a newer/custom ROM and it still works with AT&T? If so which ROM?

I have two of these phones, and both have the issue I described above. If I were to guess, it probably has something to do with initial 3G handshake timing.
One of the phones is running Madsurfer's 21s. It may have been a dirty flash over stock China ROM, but I seem to recall that one being a clean flash (wife's phone, so I don't mess with it much.) The other is Small EUI by aurel V7, dirty flashed over Rom V6-X820 of Bshuy2003.
I have observed no real differences with regard to the 3G connectivity issue between either phone, with any firmware. I'm thinking it is something at a lower level which is causing this odd issue.
I haven't received my max2 yet but I have read through allot of these posts and I remember reading about using the #*#* code to force LTE and it helped mobile connections. Also I saw that 19s CN or 17s India eui has VoLTE support. Lastly I noticed that the posted 23s beta cooked eui that Steve Mars posted has new modem files. You may try that as well. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the info, but I think the issue runs pretty deep inside these phones. If I knew more about the hierarchy of the software/firmware, where network negotiations are concerned, I'd have a better idea where to look for a solution. But I can say that I have tried virtually every ROM and modem file available, and this odd behavior persists. It's possible that it's specific to my home site, but according to the engineer, AT&T's sites are pretty standardized. The fact that other phones don't exhibit it, tends to point to something deep inside the Max2 as being the culprit. It's an insidious problem, as one might not realize that there was an issue, unless one happens to be close to a tower, trying to unsuccessfully make or receive a call, with full bars showing.
IIRC, the iPhone also had some strange issues on the AT&T network in the early days, and it took some concerted effort between AT&T and Apple to get it sorted out. The chances of of something like that happening to solve issues with these phones is probably next to nil.
Randy do you have LTE on your account? Could it be the eNode trying to promote you onto a better link and the baseband failing that negotiation?

I do have LTE on my account. The phone is connected, by default, to LTE, and falls back to WCDMA when making a call as it should. I have monitored signal strengths throughout the process, and they are very high, due to to my proximity to the tower. Locking the phone to WCDMA makes no difference.
When the phone doesn't have line-of-sight to the tower, and/or that LOS is significantly obscured, the UMTS signal goes below -60dba and the phone works perfectly. Thinking the signal strength was the key, the output of the tower was artificially reduced to below that level, as a troubleshooting test. It still did not allow the phones to work on WCDMA to make calls, even though it still showed a 3G connection with full bars. I'm not a telcom engineer, but it really seems like a timing problem, where the reflected signals work, but signals received directly from the transmitter do not. Again, the problem exists only at the point where the 3G link is initiated, either by the handset or the tower. Once a call is established, that session works fine, no matter the proximity to the tower thereafter. But once moved into the areas of LOS to the tower with an active call session and I end the call, the phone can no longer make or receive calls in those areas.
Short answer: sorta

Alright so I have been using this phone for about 6 months and it kinda sorta does. I am using the x820 one btw. I get about 80% up time with this phone. I can't really make or receive calls without the phone dropping them within the 1st minute. Let me explain further. So firstly, when I am on LTE (if not on 4G (I'll explain later)), and try and make a call, I will usually get switched over to 4G and then as the call is attempting it will completely lose service and say I can't complete the call. Then after that attempt, I will usually get my service back. And it will keep doing that unless I get lucky then if I actually can make a call then I will be lucky if I get a full minute or 2 before the call drops because of loss of service. Now for the later explanation. So basically I have noticed just because I am supposed to get LTE doesn't mean you will get the service. Also you will drop service a bunch and it gets very aggravating! I have verified my results in FL, GA, and TN.
