Last night I have two LG vs985 in marshmallow 6.0 firmware have some issues of wifi and System UI fail. So I decided to downgrade it to 10B firmware
First I use one phone and downgrade it by LG UP and then It was reboot to recovery and showing the installing process in recovery after that it restart and doing the same process. I think this phone have some hardware issue
So I flash another one and it was doing the same issue
I downgraded many VS985 with this method but now this two phones have a issue after downgrading
I also try LG flash tool and it was also successfully flash the phone but after that same issue
I Wiped My Data In Recovery Mode And That Helped
Hello, today I started to having some more fun with my LG G5, I unlocked bootloader, flashed TWRP and installed SuperSU, then I started to flash firmwares. I flashed "Tizen" rom for G5, flashed nicely, everything was working and I had one more software to flash on my sd "Genisys" which I wanted to try. After flashing I was stuck on lg logo, went again to recovery, and formatted system, then again flashed this soft and after rebooting I was stuck in a recovery loop.
From here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/help/bootloop-twrp-t3514927 I tried the solution and my phone is showing now red triangle with "Your device is corrupt. It cannot be trusted and will not boot.
I can still get to bootloader but when i try to flash my unlock.bin again there is a "Bootloader Unlock key write fail" message.
Any help appreciated
Solved: Download mode worked so I installed V20a KDZ with LGUP.

Did you try to unlock the bootloader again - after you unbricked it?
If so, did it work?
@bobiak
Congratulation to your result! Most of the guys i know, would have a unusable paperweight after those experiments.

When trying to solve the recovery loop (the link attached) you are moving some system files where bootloader is, so after flashing with KDZ I had bootloader locked againg, but when I got in that recovery loop again and didn't mess with moving any system files, after flashing KDZ my bootloader was still unlocked.
I didn't flash my unlock.bin to see if really bootloader is unlocked, recovery and root flashed without problem.
same problem

hi guys i was on havoc pie with orange fox twrp and 8.7.3 firmware and i wish to try msm extended pie (which i got from a source i dont want to mention as i dont want to blame anyone) with a new firmware (i dont remember version) it also contained emmc_appsboot.mbn and i flashed it and got my boot loader locked (i have officially unlocked last year) and in hurry to fix it (my phone is imp to me) i flashed fastboot rom (and unofficially unlocked it) now i can only use fastboot rom which is LP or cm13 no other roms are booting. tried all twrp tried lazy flasher but nothing works PLS if anyone can help PLS reply.
Actually all roms are getting installed phone boots boot animation get started later it get dim to like to start OS (phone vibrates as sign of booting but again boot animation gets brighter and again it goes on happening like bootloop)
Go to edl flash latest miui 9 fastboot from there clean everything, install twrp with locked bootloader then flash lazyflasher if you want to stay in miui or flash anything else you want.
Stock US996 twrpable zip firmware for the lg v20 is here. My phone is already rooted with magisk, bootloader unlocked, and has twrp installed.
I formatted my phone using twrp, and rebooted into recovery mode. I then flashed the US99610P firmware (as it is the most up to date in the list at the time). As soon as I reboot into the system, the "phone is corrupt and unable to boot" warning pops up and it's now in an endless bootloop.
I have flashed VS996 12A firmware with lgup patched to get the phone back to a working state.
TLDR: bootlooping lg v20 in part due to the US996 firmware. How do I flash US unlocked stock firmware on this device through twrp?
Flash it with partition DL using patched lg up. You can't just crossflash the vs995 to us996 with twrp due to the different partition layout. And this is not the correct section to post this in.

I did. Flashing using lgup patched works fine when on stock firmware. The issue is when I'm rooted and have twrp installed.
This happened as well when flashing custom roms as well.

Do you reset afterwards?
Hello, there are ZIP files to install unofficial TWRP for the LG G8X ThinQ, and they work but I want to know if anyone has got working any unofficial TWRP for the G8X but flashed as a recovery.img instead of using the ZIP files on Magisk.
I'm asking this since I want to know if there is a way to just install TWRP the regular way like any other Phone would if they had an official TWRP build, and there is a bug or something where touchscreen doesn't work if you reboot to recovery without using the Phone buttons.
