I can't be the only owner of the New RAZR 2022 Chinese version can I?
Didn't do my homework android auto is not baked in the Chinese rom so can't use it and I rely on it. So I unlocked bootloader and flashed magisk and installed AA as system app, will test in the morning. Really good phone had flip 3 before so wanted something different hoping there will be away to global rom when it's released. I flashed magisk boot.img to slot b anyone know if that's right? Thanks

Hey mate,
Thanks heaps for starting this convo.
I have the CN version of the Razr 2022 as well, and pretty keen to move to the Global ROM, cause there's just a few weird things happening/that don't quite work.
I notice the ROM you've flashed is for the x30 Pro and Edge, not the Razr specifically.
Does that make a difference?
No I didn't flash that rom and if you do say goodbye to your device.
You need to flash oneli rom choose here I only followed the guide on how to, know one would flash a ROM from a different device would they?

Glad to see I'm not the only early adopter with some regrets and looking for a way out of the LeCloud only madness. To james1089 and anyone else who has successfully flashed their Razr 2022 CN version phone, would be very grateful if you offer answers to the following questions:
1. Does Google apps sync (contacts calendar sms etc), backup & restore, work after flashing EU ROM?
2. Are you able to continue using a chinese carrier sim on the newly flashed EU ROM?
3. Looking at the oneli folder of the firmware link james1089 so kindly shared;
3a. does the RETAIL firmware the stock chinese one?
3b. any advice on the difference between RETEU and TELEU?
3c. any idea what the OPENMX one is?
Thanks in advance for sharing and spreading the knowledge.

Everything works just like it's an EU phone can't say if Chinese SIM will work although I'd be surprised if it doesn't. Contact sync can work on Chinese ROM also using an older Google contacts APK. Not sure what the other ROMs are but EU comes with no bloat what so ever just like a pixel phone.
Just wanted to say thanks to @james1089. I installed EU rom on my razr and I've never been so thankful for notifications. Everything seems to be working so far. The only thing is Netflix, but I don't use it much on the phone anyway. Anyway thanks again .
For those of you guys that are trying to install global rom, just follow what james1089 did. The only issue I ran across was unlocking bootloader and getting android SDK. Just YouTube it and then follow the rest of the guide as it.

Hi all, need advice on a Moto Z [XT1650-05 Griffin] China version. I recently purchased this phone and it does not comes with Google Play Services and unfortunately the device prevent me from manually install them into the phone (the services stopped automatically) even with downloaded APK from apkmirror.
Have anyone trying to install Google Play Services into the phone ? or is there a way to install it ? Need advice from all gurus. Appreciated.
Thanks.
flash other regions' firmware, like EU's or US's, there are some choices on this forum. and boot img and system img from all variants of moto z's firmware can be inter-flashed, even other imgs (exclude the bootloader and gpt img). remember there always are risks when flashing or fastbooting anything unofficial.
I'm using the Chinese version with Euro firmware because I'm a google service user and I like the stock Android. It is suggested to flash Euro firmware to the Chinese model for the two models has the same hardware(except the dual sim slot).
For the latest version XT1650-03_GRIFFIN_RETEU-EMEA_6.0.1_MPL24.246-17_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-03_CFC_EMEA.xml, just unlock the BL and completely flash it with RSD Lite(Erase command should be included, remember to backup), and all the function will be alright, the dual SIM card work fine, too. But if you live in China and use vpn for google play service, the battery life will be a little shorter than normal.
By the way, you can also flash open Gapps to the Chinese firmware with TWRP recovery if you like Lenovo's UI.

Going from experience with earlier Moto cross-flashes: They work fine with no side effects but one.
You'll most likely but cut off from future OTAs so any update will have to be installed manually. But that's easily done if you follow this forum.

True, but the beauty of Moto cross-flashes was, that they could be performed without a custom bootloader and even without bootloader unlock. Not sure if that's still the case with the Z series (I see no reason why it wouldn't, tbh) but it was true for the previous X series.

I've never had a Moto with android before (I come from LG mainly, with some experiment with different brands...) but... more I know them, more I like them!

I was just reading that you won't be able to receive any updates with international stock rom installed.
Is that really true? I can't find any option in settings to search or install any updates.
I am kind of happy with the international stock rom. No Chinese apps installed, no bloatware (so far found) and google play store is working.
Thanks!

What do you mean under international stock rom? Could you be more specific?
There are so called "webshop" roms, which are - as you can see in the name - modified by the online stores. Those roms are based on Indian version of eui , installed lots of bloatwares, multilanguages are contained. These are not official roms, not gonna be updated.
You should consider installing offical chinese/indian rom, which is gonna be updated for sure.

I am not really sure if I am running a Shop ROM. Just bought the phone from Gearbest.
I just thought that the Indian Version is the international version with multilanguage. I have LeEco Store installed and 3-4 other apps. But it really seams to be a Shop ROM because of the missing update option.

Can you explain what to do?
Just download the latest Indian version than rename it to update.zip and put it in the root folder and after that Power + Vol + and thats it?
I just dont want to lose German language on the phone. It is for my mother so usability is the most important, you know.
Thank you guys in advance!

Very simple. Yes.
I have Deutsch in my latest official Chinese 20s.
So does it mean that I can flash/update eather Indian or Chinese ROM just over the shop ROM without losing any data and language?
Sounds too easy for me
Yes, its easy like that i upgraded from shop rom to 21S Chinese - and I was wondering that german is better supported in 21S Chinese then in the germanized shoprom version ... only bad thing was - i lost the google play store.

And to get back Google Play Store you have to download it in LeEco store or just install the Indian version instead of the Chinese, right?
... or use this one -> https://xiaomininja.com/2016/07/15/...l-google-play-services-on-miui-8-video-guide/
I installed the cookie version 92 2 works fine. After wipe wipe data, flash with twrp and is done. Try. The zip file is called
X820_TWRP_ADVANCED_V3.1.1_CUOCO92. ZIP
yes but i heard leeco engineering work on android 7
Heyyo, yeah that international EUI ROM is modified and won't get OTA hence the check for updates is missing.
For my x829 I couldn't upgrade to Indian or Chinese EUI directly via the recovery and update.zip. It would give an error message about file errors. Only way for me to flash other ROMs was to use TWRP via temp boot via fastboot and then flash other ROMs.
I ended up not liking even newer EUI versions so now I use custom ROMs as they have a better setup with the more like Stock Android experience with the quick settings in the notification drawer.
It's still hard to tell if LeEco will be able to follow through with Nougat for their phones due to all the financial issues they have... But meh, tbh I'm not worried given how darn good community ROMs are and how they don't have the odd quirks that EUI have.
Albeit, it would be nice if they at least put out kernel sources for Nougat (or I guess Android O which will be out sooner than later) which could improve community ROMs a bit

It was said by January. Still they didn't released an update :crying:
Last update i got was on 14th October 2016. When ever i send a mail asking about the next update they respond like we will inform in a week or two. But they never did. By the end of march they said that they are working on android 7 but it will take more time. They said expected release will be july last week. I mailed again now. No responses from them.
I like the EUI very much. I don't want to install some custom rom. But same time, this thing have lot of bugs and many futures need modification.

Probably @mankindtw preparing a solution. He made the old HWOTA system and nowadays keeps silence. It's my guess, waiting for the official ROM release date.
@duraaraa I have a spesific problem. I'm using Huawei Mate 9 Pro. Bootloader unlocked, Oeminfo file belongs to orginal LON-AL00C00B225 but system running under Oreo 8.0.0.323 C636 log. It is sometimes running and sometimes don't.
I tried to downgrade Oreo to Nougat but it wasn't possible by Firmware Finder (special thanks to @gmanrainy for kind interest) or @mankindtw 's solutions. Probably file structure is different on Oreo, that could be reason for not downgrading.
Anyway, I know you are also moderating FunkyHuawei webpage. Is it possible for my situation to rebrand C636 and install LON-L29C636B235 version? Your payment methods not working in my country so I'l figure it out somehow. But I clearly wanted to learn if it is really work for me.

You'd need to flash the Oreo firmware with FHUnbrickTool if it's not booting. Or you can re-unlock the bootloader. Probably issue is you used the tool with unlocked bootloader and a modified partition somewhere, I'm guessing.
You might also be able to use eRecovery method with Android O firmware. Downgrading to N will need to be done AFTER you have it booting in Android O.
I can't monitor this thread well, so you should email FH support if you need help.
EDIT: I apologize. I thought you were using FH tools. Apparently not. Yes, FH can fix your phone, to answer your question from before. There is no other solution for M9Pro right now.

But he didn't and now device is hard bricked. Before an Oreo installation they need to warn people about there is no return.
No problem. I believe we will save my M9 Pro together. Thank you in advance and I'll stay in touch.

I don't know - this is totally untested. I suspect the same steps as the ROG Phone II (but with slight tweaks here and there) will work on the ROG Phone 3 to convert from CN to WW. When I converted my CN ROG Phone II to WW, it wasn't that difficult to do, but that came off the backs of dozens of users experimenting to get the steps down right. Here, nobody has tried it yet, so I can't say how it'll go...

Hey, I'm on S00MP5 and my understanding is that MP6 is the last Android 9 update for Black Shark 2 but I can't update through OTA so I downloaded the Zip, put it into OTA folder and rename into update.zip, now I can dial *#*#1027#*#* and force update, right? My question is if this will take me into stock recovery because it's Chinese and I can't read it, wouldn't know what to click. Also anyone have update notes for MP6?
i have updated from mp6 to ANDROID 10 mq0 but the device is locked now.
it says the device is associated with a mi account and needs password? anyone please help

Just backup your data and do factory reset, everything will be fine after that.

Just dit it. Thanks. I was afraid it might damage the phone if something was wrong with the files, but it's ok.
Hello all
no matter which update method I use, I can't install Android 10, I tried various files from this thread but the effect is always like in the attached photo,
I do not mean android10, but that slowmo video recording does not work with the current version of the system,
Hopefully after the update to 10 it will start working as it should
