Samsung Galaxy A21s root with Magisk 25.00 without Twrp - Samsung Galaxy A21s Guides, News, & Discussion

i'm a sound lover, so i rooted my Samsung to get Viper4AndroidFx working.
I guess that this method is almost universal for Samsung devices, bit i'm not sure about that so be careful with this.
-you will void warranty for your device-
--Root access on the SM-A21F with the newest Firmware(A217FXXU8DVG4) update and Android 12--
if you are new to all of this search for all the things need first.(I used just heimdall for flashing, because JOdin3CASUAL throws error at me because of a corrupted pit file, don't know how to workaround this)
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT FIRMWARE FOR THE FLASH!!!
Needs:
-Linux Machine for flashing tool Heimdall(try ubuntu studio for sound experience)
sudo apt install heimdall
There is also a frontend(GUI) for this tool:
sudo apt install heimdall-frontend
(install heimdall first, then the frontend)
-samloader Firmware tool(search for instructions to get the right Firmware)
-lz4 compression librarys to decompress the boot.img from stock firmware
-Magisk app(magisk from f-droid works)
-USB debugging allowed and OEM unlock enabled on your Samsung phone(search for developer options to do this and long press vol-up in Download mode)
1. get the firmware with samloader, decode,decompress,rename to ZIP and open the archive.Decompress the AP section, decompress the boot.img.lz4
2.put the boot.img on your phones storage to patch it with Magisk.
3.put the patched boot.img back on your Computer in a new folder and rename it back to it's original name boot.img
-make sure your phone is charged before you flash the image!
4.connect your device in download mode to the Computer(for SM-A217F:turn off the phone, press vol+ and vol- hold it both and connect the USB cable)
5.open a terminal window in the new folder where the patched and renamed boot.img is placed and type sudo heimdall print-pit, it shows the partition table of your device, for --BOOT you can also type the number of the partition as it's shown in the pit file)
sudo heimdall flash --BOOT boot.img
If anything goes wrong you can always flash back the original boot.img from downloaded stock firmware or unroot your device this way.
After this your device is rooted but there is no Twrp custom recovery for ths model yet.
The unofficial release which can be found on xda doesn't work for me. I've flashed it but got stuck in download mode.
Flashing works fine with other rooting tools but there is no way to get rid of the unrooted stock recovery yet.
I cannot guarantee you that this guide won't Brick your phone. Just be careful with the re-partition options in Odin, if you want to use it. All the work can be done with linux, heimdall and magisk.
heimdall print-pit will show the partititition table from your device.
--+no warranties. What works for me must not work for others.

For everyone who wants to root and no method has worked for him, or you have errors, or your device has not booted after the root.
You can follow the following explanation
Firstly, I used sm-a217f/ds phone
The baseband version is A217FXXU8DVG4
And its protection is U8
Android 12
First of all, you must disable the bootloader ... and this is very important so that no errors occur ... and also do a factory reset for your phone. So you should transfer all your important files before that
1- Get your official ROM from any trusted site
2- Decompress the ROM file and it will show you all the ROM files AP - BL - CP - CSC - HOME_CSC
3- Take the AP file and transfer it to your phone
4- Then download the latest version of the Magisk application
5- Then open the application and inject the AP file into it
6- The injection process takes a relatively long time. I think it takes five minutes or less, depending on the size of the AP file
7- After the injection process is complete, you will find the file that was injected with Magisk in the download files
8- Take the injected file and put it into the computer
9- Then open the Odin application and put the file that was injected into the AP box
10- Put all the rest of the files in your ROM file into Odin
11- We cancel the autorun mode from Odin
12- Then press Start
13- After the process is completed, restart the phone and remove the USB cable, and the phone will ask you to do a factory reset again, and press OK
14- Now the phone supports root
15- After unlocking the phone, install the Magisk app again
16- The application will ask you to download an additional component, click OK, and the phone will restart again
17- Now you have a rooted phone that has been linked to the Magisk application
I think this is the easiest explanation of rooting in detail
And good luck to all of you.

Is there any way to remove software installation warning boot message not recognized by samsung and bootloader unlocked message?

[ROOT] Teclast Master T8

Hi everyone,
This is what I have done to root my Teclast T8 with Magisk (based on this chineese forum: http://tieba.baidu.com/p/5449087481)
1-First download the official firmware from Needrom.com (You need to register): https://www.needrom.com/download/teclast-t8-e8c1/
2-Go to the Firmware folder and copy the “boot.img” file to the root directory of your tablet
3-Download and install MagiskManager on the tablet, click on Install, then choose to patch the boot image file. Choose the boot.img you’ve just uploaded to your tablet and it will start to automatically patch it.
Then go into the File Manager and go to the MagiskManager folder and find the “patch_boot.img“ and copy it to the root directory (without copying it to the root directory, you can not find the file from your pc…), then sends the file from the tablet to your computer.
4-For me the method with SP Flash Tool don’t work, because it says the scatter file is wrong (don’t know why…)
So i have to do it with adb and unlock the bootloader first:
-connect the tablet to pc, (first you have to enable OEM unlocking and USB debugging in Developer options)
-reboot the tablet in fastboot mode, hold buttons “power+Vol +” at startup, choose fastboot mode with Vol+ button, valid with Vol-
- open a command prompt in adb folder, then “fastboot devices”, then “fastboot oem unlock”, it should say “OKAY, finished”
Your bootloader is now unlock.
-then copy the “patched_boot.img” in the adb folder and tap in command prompt “fastboot flash boot patched_boot.img”, then “fastboot reboot”.
Your tablet should be rooted.
I think you can relock bootloader after... don't try yet.
PS: This is my first thread, so be indulgent ?
Don’t ask me technical questions because I am not a developer , just a simple user …
Hope this will help.
If someone find a way to find and flash a TWRP or how to install Xposed, please tell me, thx.
Rooted using same method but SP Flash Tools worked in my tablet.
Waiting for a TWRP ....
Yes, can confirm that method works for root.
Also tried the T10 TWRP and it's not working on the T8, just a black screen.
Don't need TWRP yet, some bugs in the ROM are more annoying than that

Hi! I haven't used in built update app so I'll try to explain how to update using flashtool. Follow the steps with your device disconnected from the pc and take into account your files will be erased.
First of all, I recommend you to install ADB and fastboot drivers: 15 seconds ADB Installer
As OP said download the rom from NeedRom and unzip it: You will have three folders:
升级工具, which contains flashtool
固件程序, with the rom
驱动程序, with the drivers
Rename all of them as flashtool, rom and drivers, for example. If you don't, you may have troubles launching flashtool or loading the scatter file.
Launch flashtool as administrator (升级程序, you could rename it too), if you get the message "The scatter file cannot found, please make sure the file exist before download" ignore it. In flashtool make sure MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin is selected as Download-Agent and select the scatter file inside rom folder as Scatter-loading file. Choose firmware upgrade from the list and click the Download button (the one with the green arrow).
Finally, switch off your device and connect it to your pc. Flashtool should do the rest, wait untill "Download Ok" message is displayed. Close flashtool, disconnect your device and switch it on.
IF your computer doesn't load needed drivers automatically, flashtool won't start the process as expected. You will need to open device manager on windows, right click on your device - update driver - choose manually - browse "inf" folder inside drivers folder (choose x86 or x64 according to your OS).
Hope it works! Good luck.

Hi Polo19!
Thanks for your post, I rooted my tablet following it! But since I encountered some issues in the process I wanted to share my experience.
IMPORTANT: For a few hours I thought I hard bricked my device, so I hope I could help somebody.
When patching boot.img with MagiskManager IF the app automatically tics "Keep force encryption" choose "Keep dm-verify" aswell!
I don't know why but this was the only way to make it work on my device, I kept getting a encryption error after flashing the patched boot.img, despite the fact that I have never encrypted my device.
After getting that error I tried to flash the clean rom again, but flashtool gave an error and the tablet completely died! Well, it seemed so.
It's pretty stupid but the only way to make it work again was pushing the reset button on the top right corner of the tablet for a few seconds and flashing the rom again.
About Magisk: use the OFFICIAL MAGISK XDA THREAD to download it, as https://magiskmanager.com/ is NOT the official website.
In step 3, I couldn't find the patched_boot.img file even after moving it to the root directory. So I had to (let the patched_boot.img file in the default directory):
Install ADB drivers in the computer: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
Enable USB debugging in developer options in the tablet, connect it to the computer and accept the connection.
Open command prompt / powershell: "shift + right click" wherever you want to copy the patched_boot.img and open cmd or power shell.
Run the command:
Code:
adb pull /sdcard/MagiskManager/patched_boot.img
In step 4: you won't encounter that problem if you rename downloaded folders and get rid of chinese characters. Simply open flashtool, choose the scatter file, untick all options except boot and change the default boot.img with the patched one (I renamed it to boot.img, I don't know if it's necessary)
Xposed: you can install xposed using MagiskManager.
Install Xposed Installer for Magisk, go to download tab in MagiskManager and install Xposed SDK24 (for android 7.0) and reboot

With the news roms doesn't work...
What is the rom that was working this WA??
Thanks!
I just did this to a tablet that had OTA'd the 1.10 - using the 1.10's downloaded boot and latest Magisk Manager 5.5.4 / Magisk 15.3 beta
OEM Unlock, patching boot image and patched boot image flashing worked
BUT - the included Magisk Manager does not launch after installing upon reboot...
HOWEVER - V5.5.3 of the manager did work.
$ adb -s 0123456789ABCDEF install MagiskManager-v5.5.3.apk
Success
$ adb -s 0123456789ABCDEF shell
t8_e8c1:/ $ su
t8_e8c1:/ #
Notes
1. Tablet is wiped
2. Boot delay of 5 seconds is added with "can't be trusted" warning in white text
3. Fails safetynet
Letting MagiskManager update itself to 554 also worked - so I think my method of just installing the apk from the Magisk zip's common folder was wrong.

Hi,
My T8 arrived yesterday and I've used OTA to update to 1.10.
Is the sptools method working with 1.10 or do I need to use this process?
Also where to the numbers 0123456789ABCDEF come from in the instructions I've quoted?
Thank is advance
i have the ota 1.10 update and the rooting was successful. magisk and xposed working flawlessly.
another point:
i have closed the bootloader after flashing the patched boot.img with "fastboot oem lock".
the device boot up is faster and the warning "...5 seconds" is gone.
now, i wait for twrp.
You dont need to unlock bootloader.
Just flash patched_boot with flash tool.

I had multiple devices attached to the PC.
No -s ABC... needed if you only have the one.
Sent from my T8(E8C1) using Tapatalk
The suggested worked for me. I will also mention that you must be connected to the internet to patch the boot.img file with magisk manager (otherwise, the option will not be presented in the magisk manager GUI).
Were there made any changes for the fingerprint? Soimebody mentioned, it isn´t that good. Maybe the last updates change something...

Method of Rooting Infinix Hot S 3

INFINIX HOT S 3 ROOTING PROCEDURE WITH LOCKED BOOTLOADER
Things You must First Do
1. Install Qualcomm drivers for your PC
2. Learn how to remove the device back cover:
3. Learn how to boot the device to EDL mode :
4. Learn how to backup your device full firmware with a box like miracle box or cracked version :
5. Learn how to flash firmware with QFIL tool version 2.0.1.9 :
PROCEDURE 1
1. Get hold of your device full stock firmware. Some build numbers do not have stock firmware especially my Hot S3 build number do not have correct stock firmware.
2. Install latest official magisk manager apk.
3. Copy stock boot.img to your device internal storage.
4. Launch magisk manager app, select install magisk 18.1v or any version that will appear, there will be an options select patch boot.img. Now locate where you stored your boot.img. After patch magisk will show you the location of the patched bootimg.
5. Copy the patched boot.img into the device firmware folder. Remove the original boot.img from the firmware folder and save it somewhere and rename the patched boot.img to boot.img.
6. Now launch the QFIL tool and flash using the previous procedure.
7. After successful flash, boot to the device recovery (Volume up + power button) wipe partition and factory wipe, then power off and reboot.
8. After reboot update Google play store and services sign into your account successfully to have a recognize certify device. Install magisk manager apk. Launch magisk manager app, update and install any other updates that will pop up. Every installed thing in magisk will show green.
9. Reboot. The device successfully rooted.
NOTE:
1. Those who have their correct official firmware and have tested and working correctly, there will be firehose file, patch0 file, rawprogram0 files, NON-HLOS file. These are the necessary files for the flashing.
2. Those who don't have the correct stock firmware use the backup firmware from the miracle and rename these files as;
boot= boot.img
Cache= cache.img
dummy= dummy.img
misc= misc.img
persist= persist.img
recovery= recovery.img
splash= splash.img
system= system.img
userdata= userdata.img
aboot= emmc_appsboot.mbn
Modem=NON-HLOS bin
The rest of the files add .mbn to it end.
You need:
patch0.xml
rawprogram0.xml
prog_emmc_firehose_8937_ddr.mbn
if you don't have these files I will upload my full prepared stock firmware so that you take all the necessary files from it into yours and flash.
But if you have any downloaded stock HOT S 3 firmware with only one system and vendor inside you can use it.
3. Those who have their stock firmware, if the system and vendor in the folder is in multiple form meaning more than one ( system and vendor are in parts) you can't use QFIL tool to flash, it require different flash tool. Use your backup firmware.
4. If any find things difficult I will upload my stock firmware so that all builds can use to create their own stock firmware.
Thank you.
5. After every flash try to remove battery cable and replace for some seconds when the device cover is opened.
6. At a point where the device refuse to boot or power off, long press power button to power off or reboot.
7. Do not be in haste, take your time to follow all these procedures to avoid the device going dead. Because a device does not go dead in my hands. It may brick but when you use good and required flash files everything will be okay.
With ease, convenience and future developments for the device I have created Facebook group for that because some informations are hard to come by. I have posted a lot of help in different forums, nobody seems to help, so this how far I have gone. Now trying to Port custom recovery like twrp for the device even though bootloader is locked.
Procedure 2
1. Follow procedure 1 to backup device
2. Patch boot.img with magisk manager
3. Copy patched image rename as boot.img into backup folder.
4. Flash only the patched boot.img by any supported tool.
5. Reboot device install magisk manager apk reboot and update magisk done.
Those who have already rooted or gone far with the device can join the facebook group or provide me better links. Thanks

I'm not getting your device blinking well but;
1. Make sure your device driver 9008 in edl mode installed well. When you open device manager you must see driver 9008 for your device. Download driver
https://www.allmobitools.com/download/Qualcomm_HS_USB_QDLoader_9008_Driver_Download.zip
2. If you are using windows 10 make sure you disable driver signature before installing any driver on your computer
3. Make sure you disconnect and reconnect battery cable on the board before and after every connection.
4. Use the miracle tutorial when you see driver Qloader 9008 in device manager after connecting device.
5. You must connect the two edl points well. Poor connection boot to battery charge.
6. Use miracle 2.82 version

2. Those who don't have the correct stock firmware use the backup firmware from the miracle and rename these files as;
boot= boot.img
Cache= cache.img
dummy= dummy.img
misc= misc.img
persist= persist.img
recovery= recovery.img
splash= splash.img
system= system.img
userdata= userdata.img
aboot= emmc_appsboot.mbn
Modem=NON-HLOS bin
Thanks

Lost root somehow, please help me fix it.

Hello everyone, my phone is samsung note 10 plus, I have twrp installed and rooted with magisk, I'm on Android 9, I somehow lost root, have no idea how, I'm very careful not to allow updates or google to install something there might affect my root.
when I go to magisk I'm getting the image that I've attached, when I click on install magisk, download the zip file and try to install it I get an an error as show in the 2nd image, saying unsupported/unknown image forma. I've also attached the log file. Is there any way for me to fix this without flashing the rom and start from scratch? Can I repair it somehow, maybe with TWRP?
Thank you all in advance
you have boot.img of the device?
i thought you can only install magisk in 2 way by flashing boot.img unto magisk or flashing magisk.zip unto TWRP as recovery partition
#edit how did you install magisk in the beginning? thats how you will install it again
there a chance you will get your device brick if you install magisk wrong way (A/B partition) but since you already install it previously just reinstall it back
Hmmm, where should I have the boot. Img you mean as if I backed it up on my pc? Or I can download it and use it?
Now I'm confused :/
Before i explain i don't take responsibility for any damages caused on your device if you decided to follow my tutorial .
So basically there's 2 way to install Magisk
• Image Patching - Basically this is what most people do they find stock boot.img and recovery.img for there devices
1. Copy the Stock boot.img or recovery.img to your device
2. Download and install the latest Magisk Manager
If you are patching a recovery image, manually check “Recovery Mode” in Advanced Settings!
Press Install → Install → Select and Patch a File, and select your stock boot or recovery image file
Magisk Manager will patch the image, and store it in [Internal Storage]/Download/magisk_patched.img
Now pull the magisk_patched.img with ADB:
adb pull /sdcard/Download/magisk_patched.img
Flash the patched boot.img or recovery.img to your device and reboot.
For most devices, here is the fastboot command:
fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img or
fastboot flash recovery magisk_patched.img if you are patching a recovery image
Now you are rooted
•Custom Recovery - This is when you do not have Stock boot.img or recovery.img for your device
( High Chance Of Phone Getting Bricks )
1. Download and install the latest Magisk Manager
2. Download Magisk.zip (https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/) choose the Latest Release
3.Now reboot to recovery (TWRP, CWM ... ETC)
if you use stock recovery it should say "apply update via sdcard"
then just choose Magisk.zip
4. Now if you have TWRP just click Install and choose Magisk.zip
5. wait for the process
6. Now you are Rooted (hopefully xD :fingers-crossed

Thank you very much.
OK, I tried method 2 and didn't work. I downloaded my stock firmware and I have the image file, I can try the first one to place the image in the root of the phone, patch the file with magisk and reflesh it with Odin?
Will I lose all my stuff on the phone by doing this? Thank you
i remember using odin back in 2012 for my samsung galaxy y i didn't know people still using that thing
i search your device on google and it said samsung provide the kernel for it ( https://www.xda-developers.com/samsung-galaxy-note-10-kernel-source-code/amp/ ) thats a good start for rooting your device try looking for it
also visit https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10 it is dedicated section for your device model which means all threads and post are for your device model

He's just saying to re-root it... If you lost root it's more than likely gone and you'll have to do whatever you did to gain root in the beginning. I constantly backup all my apps, data, pictures and everything to my little USB OTG thumb drive and to my laptop. I do this daily because many times a factory reset is what has to happen depending on what's going on. You can grab a Samsung micro sdcard 128 GB for $18-$19 or so online or thumb drives like I have a SanDisk 128gb.. it was $14. Just some thoughts for moving ahead so you don't have to go through this again. Lots of good suggestions here. If I were you I'd hit the "thanks" button on whenever took time to stop and search for answers to your issue. That's what we do here on xda. I could care less about racking up "thanks" count just throwing that out there so that you know..
Good luck on getting her all fixed. The note 10 is a real gem!

I can re root it, that's not the problem, i can do it with the patched magisk boot image through Odin, im asking if that's gonna wipe off everything on my phone. Because i can't backup certain things without titanium backup, and titanium requires root access. Thank you for your help and everyone's else's im well aware and grateful for the attempts, suggestions etc.
no it's not gonna wipe anything thats why magisk is called "systemless" . It will essentially modify the system without actually modifying it.
if you flash magisk_patched.zip nothing noticeable will happen except you will have root access
all your installed application will be there
also i notice this some people actually copy magisk_patched.zip thats really bad idea you need to let Magisk generate it.
For example you have 2 phones same model and same build version .
You generate magisk_patched.zip on the phone A
then decided to copy magisk_patched.zip into phone B ofcourse it will still works
but since you just copy it and didnt let magisk generate it . It would not make backup for boot or recovery partition
if you uninstall Magisk on your phone B .There is really high super ultra mega chance of your phone getting bricks. Also it would not revert any changes done on the period while Magisk is installed

1. Install the latest Magisk Manager
2. In Magisk Manager: Install → Install → Select and Patch a File and select the AP tar file.
Magisk Manager will patch the whole firmware file and store the output to [Internal Storage]/Download/magisk_patched.tar
3. Copy the patched file to your PC with adb pull /sdcard/Download/magisk_patched.tar. Do not use MTP as it is reported to corrupt files.
4. Reboot to download mode, and flash magisk_patched.tar as AP in Odin, together with the BL, CP and HOME_CSC files. Never flash only an AP file, as Odin can shrink your /data file-system if you do.
Important: Uncheck "Auto Reboot" in Options!
5. Magisk is now successfully flashed to your device! But there are still several steps before you can properly use the device.
6. We now want to boot into the stock recovery to factory reset our device.
Full data wipe is mandatory! Do not skip this step.
Press Power + Volume Down to exit download mode. As soon as the screen turns off, immediately press the combo key to boot to recovery (e.g. on the S10 it is Power + Bixby + Volume Up). Since we want to boot into stock recovery, continue pressing the volume up button until you see the stock recovery screen.
7. Use volume buttons to navigate through the stock recovery menu, and the power button to select an option. Choose Wipe data/factory reset to wipe the data of the device.
8. This time, we can finally boot to the system with Magisk. Select Reboot system now, and immediately press the combo key to recovery. After seeing the bootloader warning screen, release all buttons so it can boot to the system.
9. The device will automatically reboot for the first time it boots. This is completely normal and done by design.
10. After the device is booted up, do the usual initial setup. The following steps will need an internet connection.
11. Magisk Manager will ask to do additional setups. Let it do its job and the app will automatically reboot your device.
12. Voila! Enjoy Magisk

Thanks so much for your help, but i just want to get root back on my phone as i had it rooted already, i dont want to wipe off everything and lose my stuff. There are things that i can only backup with titanium backup, which i can't use now without root privileges :/ can i repair root somehow?
how did you lose your root anyway?
your Android OS updated?
you can try restoring apps with titanium backup but i don't think it will restore Magisk being installed again and gaining root access

I didn't do the update, but something did mess up the root aa you can see on the photos that I've attached at the beginning of the topic. I just want to reroot my phone again but not to loose all my current stuff on it.
if you have boot.img or recovery.img for your device you might not lose your stuff installing back magisk but i think you only have the whole firmware ".tar.md5" flashing thats is like factory reset for your phone
#edit i read about ".tar.md5" they say if you just extract it .It contains all stock .img file for your device such as boot.img, recovery.img , system.img ...etc
since i have too much free time can you upload the firmware ".tar.md5" of your device i will upload .boot.img and recovery.img for you

Rooting Problem

I am trying to root my s10 lite by following this guide
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s10-lite/development/how-to-root-galaxy-s10-lite-t4099777
Been trying for the past 3 days with no success
I have already unlocked my bootloader and downloaded the latest firmware available in my country (Do I have to download the stock one in order for this to work and then update ?)
Flashed the vbmeta_disabler.tar device rebooted to recovery did a factory data reset then powered phone off through recovery and reentered download mode. After that I flashed vbmeta_disabler again along with AP,CSC,CP and CSC files from latest firmware.
After that phone booted and afte the set up downloaded latest magisk manager (canary) . Then I transfered the AP file to the phone's internal storage and patched it using Magisk . Lastly I transfered back the magisk_patched.tar back to pc and tried to flash it with Odin along with BL,CP and HOME_CSC files.
It resulted in a bootloop .
I even tried to use the patched image from the telegram channel dedicated to s10 lite. Extracted the magisk_patched.tar and replaced the boot.img there with the one provided in the Telegram channel. After that using 7 zip I made a .tar file which tried to flash with Odin alongside the other files (BL,CP,HOME_CSC) but Odin crashed.
I tried to follow the exact same steps noted in the guide but with no success and I can't figurr out what I did wrong. Any help is greatly appreciated
Some Questions :
1. Auto reboot is left on on Odin should it be disabled ?
2. After flashing the patched.tar do I have to press a specific key combo to launch phone with Magisk ?
3. When I do manage to root it (optimistic approach) if I want to power off or restart during the boot is it required to press a key combo to boot with Magisk ?
4. After the rooting process can I use the stable Magisk Manager instead of the canary one cause I need Magisk Hide which I think the Canary one lacks ?
Thanks a lot !
wait on twrp, my guess its the wrong patched boot for the software your using

Translation: hello i have s7 plus i have t970 how do we root
I followed this guide below that I found somewhere in this forum, it is not mine, I just added some notes to it. I recommend searching for the original thread. There could also be a newer firmware version now, please check yours before rooting. It has been almost 2 months since I did it.
Unlock OEM (under developer options)
Boot in download mode (with the tablet powered down, press volume up + volume down and connect USB cable to PC)
Long press volume up to unlock bootloader (you will lose all your data!)
Download the original firmware ( https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-tab-s7/firmware/SM-T970/XAR/download/T970XXU1ATJ4/502568/ )
Flash it using ODIN in download mode (Optional, just to make sure you are using the same image you are going to patch)
Extract boot.img.lz4 from AP_xxxx tar file.
Decompress the lz4 to get the uncompressed boot.img (I had to use a separate tool since 7zip was not able to compress/uncompress the lz4 archive, https://github.com/lz4/lz4/releases )
Copy the file to the tablet
Patch it using the latest Magisk Manager. ( https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk)
Copy the patched boot image back to the PC.
Recompress it as boot.img.tar (rename magisk_patched.img to boot.img then compress as boot.img.tar)
Flash it using AP slot in Odin and reboot tablet. (I had to do a full factory reset)
Install Magisk again
For AdAway to work you will need to enable systemless module in Magisk
You are done! Magisk manager should say now it is rooted. (you will also have a BIG warning every time the tablet is powered on, telling you how irresponsible and despicable you are by modifying the device)
I rooted my Samsung S20 before by following this guide
it is very similar to what is described above.

@simerenya Please use English on XDA Forums. If you want, you can use the translating service of your choice. See the forum rules for more details.
@BigBucha I suggest that you do not link to that particular website for Magisk downloads (or any other website that pretends to be the Magisk website). None of those websites are run by @topjohnwu and in the best case they're just re-hosting the files to get ad-revenues, but in the worst case you'll download a malicious version of Magisk. That wouldn't be good. The only place for sure and safe downloads of Magisk is on @topjohnwu's Github: https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk
@Didgeridoohan , understood, thanks! I didn't know about Magisk's official web site, just googled it. I updated my previous post.
@simerenya,
Not sure if I understood your question. I used google translate.
You asked for a screen-sharing session?
I have done rooting of this tablet model only once myself, that was 2 months ago, not sure if I can be of much help to you.
Please try following the guide step by step yourself. If in doubt, I recommend not doing this since you may brick your tablet.
You can post your questions in the forum if you get stuck or brick your device. I will try to answer them.
I was able to root my tablet from the first try.
Good luck.
Is it possible to root Galaxy tab s7+ using Kingroot, kingoroot, towelroot, or any of the other 1 click rooting apps?

Install Magisk again
For AdAway to work you will need to enable systemless module in Magisk
You are done! Magisk manager should say now it is rooted. (you will also have a BIG warning every time the tablet is powered on, telling you how irresponsible and despicable you are by modifying the device)
I rooted my Samsung S20 before by following this guide
it is very similar to what is described above.

Thanks for the instruction. I was finally installed magdisk on S7+ tab. Root check is good. But some app like adaway does not detect root and never ask for root access when installed. Do you know how to solve this?

Not sure about other apps, but for AdAway to work I had to do these steps:
1. Open Magisk
2. Go to Modules (the jigsaw icon)
3. Install "Systemless Hosts" module
4. Reboot and try selecting root mode in AdAway again
Please check this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/systemless-adaway-with-magisk.3733839/

Did you successfully unlock bootloader? My phone was not locked to any mobile carrier. Please paste a screenshot.
