I got the phone from my Brother,
He asked me to help to sort his phone a bit.
So i installed that MI PC Suite which told me to update Miui.
So i grabed the phone and checked for updates : No Updates available.
MIUI 12.5.7.0 Stable - Global
Android 11 RKQ1.200826.002
which doesnt really look actual.
So how to save all his Files and update this Device ?
which Rom you recommend ?

Miui 13 is currently latest for your device
Download "Mi flash" pc software
Download latest Rom from Here
Save all required data to your pc
And flash Rom with mi flash
If you want custom rom
Xiaomi eu Roms are best

it shows 9.5.1.0 update for stable, global, developer, etc for redmi note 3.

yes you can flash it as any other rom.if your bootloader is officialy unlocked,you can switch back to custom rom at any time.if you want to go to pure stock miui you must flash it via mifash or flash older global stable and let updater do the update to latest version (to update bootloader,firmware,etc).good alternative are xiaomi.eu builds.
flash miui only if you have trouble with networks and need every bit of battery performance and if you can live without replying from notification (nougat and later feature,not present on any stock xiaomi or xioami.eu builds).
personally i've tried to go back to miui as i like it but i can't live without replying from notification,dt2w and other customisations present only on latest oreo roms.

Is it safe to flash that rom to Mi 8 Lite?
I want to flash global to chinese.

On the link that you published, there are firmware only for MI8. MI8light will have firmware with letters - ODTMIFD or ODTMIFH.

Sorry to reply back to this "old" thread.. As @holomouse was saying the page linked above doesn't provide a rom for the Mi 8 Lite anymore.
So my question is: where can I download a global stable MIUI rom for the Mi 8 Lite??
The device (as well as the Mi 8 SE and EE) is not even listed anymore in the download page.... https://en.miui.com/download.html
I have seen somewhere on the MIUI forum that they are about to roll out next update for global at the end of November, so I'm hoping they will make it available for download.

hi guys got mi 8 pro but i didn't find any official source stating that there is a working TWRP for Mi 8 Pro, i can find threads only on standard Mi 8.
I'd like to try global beta roms on xiaomi.eu but need to unlock the bootloader tomorrow and install twrp....

tnx mate, he made two versions, stated to be one for custom roms and the other one with global roms support.
does the twrp version for global roms also work to instal developers custom xiaomi.eu roms? or for those one i'm forced to use the other version?
Twrep relatore After backup doesn t work, must reinstall rom ti get It run (without wiping) and screen block and fingerprint doesnt work After restore.
Did this happen with pther twrp version? Is this solveble with this twrp?

it may cause some problem
if you want to do it download stable rom of android q in mi community global
install rom using twrp.

Guys, I did the update for android 10 in the second wave.
after trying to return to android 9 my device got stuck resetting the "android one" home screen, as there was no solution i put the "pixel" rom for mi a3.
Today as a test again I tried to flash the rom stock 9 and everything went back to normal as it was before, with everything working.
I believe that after installing "PIXEL" something made it back to normal.
I want to downgrade my mi a3 to Android 10 from android 11 please help me out it will be very grateful of you, actually android 11 does not give access to read the files which seems very problematic for me and even many games are not optimized in android 11 ,please help me out and yeah kindly tell it correctly ,Thank you
my advice is make a clean flash of latest stock a11. but if you want to risk a soft brick, you can try to install stock a10 rom with miflash in edl mode. before this, to reduce the risks, clear data and system. search in the forum the guide to flash a firmware with miflash in edl mode. good luck. a11 is a good system. and los 18.1 a bugless fantastic custom rom. is more safe than a downgrade to a system with a developing near to the end. but is your the final choice
Hello friends,i hope you all have a ( flashable ) day .
my device is redmi note 9s ,bootloader is open ,
firmware was MIUI 12.5.5 indian version android 11
i flashed TWRP and installed crdroid android 13 ,, after that i noticed my device got many problems :
1- mini lag ( about .25secend )
2- when try to call someone i always got ( call ended )
3- when someone try to call me my phone ring for just a second then it ends call itself
4- when playing video/audio the speaker work 2 seconds and not work the same period
.............
i tried to :
1- install another rom MIUI ( the first ) using TWRP i got the same problems in addition to rebooting after 3 minutes when screen off
2- install MIUI razer edition i got logo boot loop
3- install reserrection remix using orange fox i got the same problems
......................
any suggestion / help ,please
If this is your daily driver I would suggest you to take a backup and flash stock miui and relock the bootloader as now they have updated to android 12 and miui is the safest you could go.
Otherwise I would say just look for different custom roms and see the replies then flash the one that seems most promising, also I would say use official stable builds with developers actively working on them rather than unofficial forgotten builds.
