[ROM][Android 11][ms01lte] Lineage 18.1 for SM-G7105 - Galaxy Grand 2 Android Development

This a Test, don't know if it will boot (it should)
I don't have the device so I can't test
if the rom boots everything should be working but NFC (maybe ril?)
I hope it gets tested quickly because I don't have any free time left for a while
if the rom works I will compile crDroid and future roms too for this device
if the rom doesn't boot or boots but there's a bug other than NFC I will need a LogCat
the build is already an "eng" build so you can LogCat during boot
I really hope this works

I found a g7105 in a drawer and installed this LineageOS. It boots normally, from what I checked everything rather works. One problem i have with error E3004, and i must delete line regarding device chceck in updater-script file. Can you compile lineageos recovery for this device?
I also tried install mindthegapps, but i have error : could not mount /mnt/system!

Interesting, both errors you mentioned are from recovery tho.
try another recovery

I tested both TWRP and the same error occurs on both. I even flashed using heimdall stock rom and tried again with these TWRP and still the same error.
The exact error is:
E3004: This package is for device: ms01 ,ms013g,ms01lte; this device is .
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7

Hi Thank you very much.
I have installed and tried this rom with Twrp 3.4.0-1 you bring and open gapps arm 11 pico, everything seems to working fine except making calls.
When i checked this ROM does not show the phone IMEI number so you can not make any call with it.
I downgraded back to my previous ROM LineageOS 14.1 and everything is back to normal and working. Do you have any idea how to fix IMEI not showing with the new ROM?

You must virtually repartition your device, otherwise you can't install this ROM! Please see the 2nd post for more details.
Don't use Custom Pit. Or you'll get errors to install this ROM! You Must use stock Pit file!
Root is now disabled by default on Lineage OS 14.1. To enable it go to here and download addonsu and flash it on recovery.

Download ROM
Basic first time installation instructions:
Backup your data.
Download lineage-14.1-XXXXXXXX-UNOFFICIAL-u1att.zip to your sdcard
Download GApps (optional)
Reboot into download mode
Flash Resize pit in odin.
Reboot into recovery

Virtual Repartition Information and Installation Guide
After 2017.09.30 build, SGS2 applied virtual repartition.
Note: If you repartitioned your phone using a pit file, its recommended that you flash back the original unmodified pit to take full advantage of the increased space.
Download Virtual Repartition TWRP recovery
Installation
Before you begin, back up all of your internal storage!
I am not responsible for any problems with the internal repository data!
1. Make sure you have the latest OFFICIAL TWRP installed.
2. Backup your internal storage to your computer (The internal storage WILL BE ERASED)
3. In TWRP, go to Mount -> Enable MTP to access internal storage.
4. Copy the Virtual repartition recovery to your device.
5. Flash it.
6. Reboot recovery again.
7. Now, your device getting virtually repartition.
8. In TWRP, go to Wipe -> Swipe to Factory Reset.
9. In TWRP, go to Wipe -> Format Data -> type yes to format data partition.
10. In TWRP, go to Advanced Wipe -> Wipe all partition.
11. Now, Ready to install New Lineage OS!
This Virtual Repartition changed partition tables.
Now, you get 14.68 GB Data Storage.

What about just being able to flash the rom zip?

Now, Lineage OS 14.1 arrived on i777.

I tried to flash the ROM three times by recovery.but failed.the progress bar stopped at 80% for long time.there is no error.Does anyone flash the ROM successed?I can't flash it.

Use magisk 16.7... flash it in twrp and then update to latest version in magisk manager

Till now Everything works absolutely fine including volte... Except m not able to install magisk modules. Using v17.1. Device shows rooted. Thank again for your work.

So far the bugs i have noticed:
- Magisk module not installing on included kerenel.
- Accent colour is not changing.
- Even if i change accent colour using root settings app crashes.

Couldn't get the ROM to work unfortunately. For some reason my phone won't boot any 9.0 ROM. I've got the latest TWRP installed but as soon as it boots a "shutting down" box appears, the phone shuts off and reboots to TWRP. The same occured when I tried GZOSP 9.X so I'm pretty sure it's not the ROM itself. Any ideas? I assume I get logs from TWRP?

I got the same issue when I flashed android pie GZOSP and sacred os 1.5.1.... I managed to backup my personal content such as downloaded rom, photos and music to my computer.. And I do advanced wipe in twrp (data, system, cache, dalvik, internal storage), then after finished all that, turn phone off for few seconds before boot to twrp again, click mount then choose storage to check if your internal memory is corrupted or not.. in my case, I used model XT1805 with 32gb storage, when I check on twrp, I have around 24gb available, means my storage is there.. Then connect your phone to the computer and transfer your downloaded rom, gapps, magisk and optional stuff like flashable moto cam, enable eis or whatever else you want.. Then install it as usual.... For me itself, took 3 times to make it boot fine without auto shut down or any errors

Device was successfully able to boot into Lineage OS. But when I flashed Gapps, I am stuck at the boot animation for more than 5 minutes and then the device again booted into TWRP...

Updated from lineage-16.0-20191007-nightly-land-signed to lineage-16.0-20191009-nightly-land-signed via built in updater and now I device bootloops.
It stays on boot logo for some time and then reboots back to TWRP with RescueParty console message.
Using twrp-3.3.1-1-land

lineage-16.0-20191009-nightly-land-signed does not work with open_gapps-arm64-9.0-pico-20191010
- eternal reboot in twrp. Without gapps, everything is fine.
before, los 15.1 and viperos 6.7 worked fine with gapps pico.

yes I am without gapps and worked fine, because 2 GB of RAM. But how does the Gcam apk run without gapps?

I could not enable Camera 2 API at all by modifying build.prop so I doubt it works right now.

I'm using this ROM since Friday. Performance is excellent, battery is great!
The only issue I've found is notifications not showing when I pick up the phone whether the setting is enabled or not.
Anyway, this will be the daily driver for me from now on, I'm loving the fact that the ROM is pure and has all stock Lineage apps (snap camera is excellent!).

Had the same issue when installing the latest version (20200521), turns out it will only boot with either the nano GApps package or no GApps installed. Any bigger GApps package results in reboot during first boot and returning to recovery.

Thanks, but I can't figure out how to get a logcat on first boot when adb is still disabled. When I install the rom without GApps and boot it to enable adb and then flash GApps it will just sit on the Lineage animation forever and not reset to TWRP at all.
Also I said it will boot with nano GApps, but actually meant it will only boot with PICO GApps package, nano and bigger will not boot.

Just use pico gapps and install other google apps manually. I'm using this ROM for weeks and loving it. Stable, fast and good battery backup.

Yes that's what i ended up doing. It's no problem for me to use the pico GApps, it was just strange to me that any bigger package did not work.
I have to say this ROM is one of the best so far, and everything seems to work perfectly fine!

I'm using nano Gapps... My guess is that you have something left from previous ROMs on your phone...
A full-clean install is a must, specially if you're changing ROMs... Even internal storage should be cleaned.

I keep seeing this "Make sure you have flashed the repartition script." mentioned - what exactly IS that script and why do we need it? I know I didn't need to flash that when flashing a custom A10 rom a year or 2 ago

Because t585 does not contain a vendor partition, so this script repartitions the device and makes a partition for the vendor .

I didn't need that on A10, why do I need it now? Or is that because it's a GSI?

Yes, you need it because the ROM has become GSI, you can try Android 12 using lineage 18 vendor .

Can you make this for T580. Tried this partiton script but got /vendor (invalid argument) error

I have SM T585 U7
And I flashed (lineage16) on it, then I used ( repartition script) and flashed recovery (3.7.0.gtaxllt) and (lineage 18.1) and I did not like it very much, so I deleted it and also deleted (vendor) and flashed (lineage 16) again and restarted it, and it remained standing on the recovery logo and it did not It works until I flashed (cf root t585) via (odin), so it booted, but whenever I re-install any TWRP, it just stays on the logo and does not boot.
I got bored and wanted to restore the original system and downloaded it and put it in the (odin) and the flashing was successful, but the device continues to restart to no avail
I flashed TWRP again and found system (0
system img (3180
I do not know where the problem is, although the ROM is the original ROM, and the flashing is done successfully in Odin, but without a system
And it continues to restart. The Odin files that I used are the official AP.CP.HOMECSC .CSC.BL
I just want to return the original rom

I really need some help
I just installed this ROM successfully yesterday and it was working just fine on my sm-t585
But...
For some reason today it decided to brick my touch
Only the hardware buttons are functional and it's 50% charged so it's gonna take a lot of time for me to try to shut it down
So does anyone have any clue why that happened and how to fix it
(Note: the 2 touch buttons next to the home button are touch as well and they are also bricked)
Edit: I remembered that I installed the repartition script twice and now I have 2 vendors can I get rid of one ?! And how
Edit² : I did some troubleshooting and I found out what caused the touch problem...... It was the darn battery saving mode but now am wondering if anybody encountered the same problem
