I mean if when one app is using camera in background , is using another camera app at the same time possible??
Some people say it depends on how the applications is coded.
Also the app “sound assistant” makes 2 music apps using speaker at the same time.
And there are apps that use front and back camera simultaneously.
Then, access to camera by 2apps at the sametime can be possible??
Any way thanks for reading and I want to know if the phone is rooted or an app has root permission , there would be a change in answer
I wonder in android using custom ROM , this can be possbile .
Btw i am talking in android version 5.0-6.0 which was released 2015-2016.

Okay so i have this really old phone (Samsung Captivate) with a really awesoem clock app. But its a system app and i want to install it on one of my other phones (Galaxy Nexus) as a user app.
They both are NOT running stock ROM. In fact the Cappy is on 4.2.1 and the Nexus on 4.2.2.
Not a big differnece, right? So i presume this would be possible.
Before you ask, i did do research on this and found nothing but moving one user app from one phone to another phone as a user app, etc. Nothing with moving a system app from one phone to user app on another.
If you want i can upload the apk file for you guys/gals to see. Just ask. (My phone is dead at the moment)
Thanks,
Jack
Surely yes. Try it (copy the apk to the GNexus and launch it with your file manager).
so all i do is install as if a normal apk?
gonna go ahead and try it

Hey, I need some help with installing the advanced camera app (Gallery2.apk).
I'm using AOSPA and I cant install it (tried from few other ROMs), it just FC.
Gallery works fine.
I guess that it's something with the libs, but I don't want to touch thing I dont understand in.
Can anyone guide me which libs are relate to the camera app and I can delete from my system/libs,
and move from another ROM? (Let's say CM)
Please help..
No one knows?
hello
the best app camera??
Hi All,
I have seen allot written about rooting.
My question is, as things stand, what are the current benefits of rooting?
Thanks
Viresh
Xposed, uninstalling useless apps, full access to the file system, camera mods, speaker mods
What do you mean with camera mods?

Basically it gives you the option to do things you normally couldn't. Install custom software. Delete apps that normally can't be deleted. Modifications to things like camera (eg the phone currently only uses 8mp in superior auto, but the mod allows it to use 20mp in superior) all kinds of tweaks and stuff that without root access, you wouldn't be able to install. Root is like a superuser that allows anything to be done to the device. Imagine a work computer that you can't install things on without administrator access. Rooting removes the "administrator" access to let you do whatever you want.

yes yes, i understand the question of rooting, i asked you for camera because mine (and most of all Z2) have problems with focus in camera, and for the 20mp i suggest to use only in 8mp, the 20mp looks very bad quality.

I think mainly that's because it's manual mode only in 20mp and getting the settings right for Joe public is impossible. However if it was superior auto where it does it for you, I imagine the 20mp would be amazing

I've tried searching the forums and I can't seem to find a definitive answer.
Are there any 4.4.4 ROMS (any base CM/AOSP/AOKP etc.) that Vine and Snapchat work on? I'm fed up with the Samsung stock but don't want to lose functionality by switching...
I'll take that as a no then.

@gordon/all Same prob Here. Do u know a version which runs with snapchat?
The error code tells (translated),error sending failure... Tap again...
THX im running the nightly frok 2014.06.26
Some people seem to say if you set the quality on Snapchat to lower you get more recording time. But Vine seems to just bring up an error message saying "your device is not supported" or something.

I believe they still have the problem. I decided to end up using a stock Google Play Edition ROM. of course this dosent have any customisations but if you really want to customise it you can use Xposed Framework (+ GravityBox) etc.
Hi,
So my dad is completely blind and I'm looking for an android phone that supports the 'ok Google from any screen' option. I let my dad listen to how I could use the ok google command to change radio stations in the tunein radio app on my s7 edge without having to touch the screen or press any buttons.
That's an ideal way for my dad to use the tunein app, I have an old galaxy s2 which I flashed a lollipop custom rom onto the phone in the hope it would add the option to allow ok google from any screen but that options missing in the voice settings and instead only has the option to use it from within the google search app which is no good for him.
Would I be right in saying that any new ish phone that's running Android 5 or above would have the option to say ok google from any screen? Also the ability to enable ok Google voice control from the lock screen when using either a wired /Bluetooth headset would be even better for my dad to operate the phone, that function works on my s7 edge but doesn't work on my s2 with the custom lollipop rom even though the setting is enabled.

Many thanks for this reply, that voice access app sounds exactly like what my dad needs to use a phone, will download it via your link and see if it'll work on an old galaxy s2 using a custom lollipop rom.
