Need full dump (LUNs backup) from the original LG G8X DEU - LG G8X ThinQ Questions & Answers

Hi, I need help from the owner of the original LG G8X (Region DEU)! To be more specific, I need full firmware from this phone in the format LUNs Backup (LUN0_Complete.bin - LUN6_Complete.bin), made according to the instructions from the topic [Tutorial] Full Flash Backup And Restore. I would be very grateful for the help!

It is highly desirable that there is either the latest version of Android 12 (40d), or the latest version of Android 11 (30g). Because I hear they’re the most stable.

LG G5 SE H840 need a stock rom

Hi everyone,
I need a stock rom for my phone. Before update OTA firmware 450MB (camera improvement) I have stock rom version v10a-222-10. After update, my stock rom version v10b-222-10. Where can I find this version of rom v10a-222-10? I check this site... //lg-firmwares.com/lg-h840-firmwares/
Hi !
You can find stock rom on the link you provided. Then, you have to use LG Up with Uppercut :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/development/uppercut-lgup-loader-g5-variants-t3511295
I manage to downgrade from 7.0 to 6.0 (even if it was a bit difficult). Btw, may i ask you a question : why do you want to downgrade ? This update seemed to be good, plus it bring february security patch and camera improvement.
I bought the lg g5 se one week ago and i also get this update !
I always think that the new update stock firmware more demanding than the old stock firmware... Correct me if I'm wrong? Phone works well, but it's the only reason why I want to do this...
Which version you download and installed? Can I install other stock rom from list? Can i install this version H84010b_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0222.kdz? Does not exist this version H84010a_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0222.kdz?

Hello, I would suggest you to download the newest version from v10, i mean the following versions of v10a( v10b and so on) so if v10b is the most recent version of v10 then go for it. If you have the chance to download v10c for example, go for that one
Have you tried any of these versions? Which version do you use?

Not with these roms, but with my previuos lg bello i tried to update, and i searched and figured out that the following letters are better versions than previous ones (less bugs for example)
Flash with TWRP
So, I've following problem:
1.played with busybox
2.messed everything up (bootloop)
3.no rom backup (and no rom at all, just the recovery, no os)
I really need your help:
Is there a possibility to get a stock rom (h840, bought in austria so german version)?
and not in KDZ, i dont know how to flash that.
Either as a flash-zip or img
I really appreciate your help.
Thanks,
The guy with a useless phone

you need LGUP + uppercut to able to flash H840
and a firmware from https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-h840-firmwares/ in KDZ, which is official format from LG
it's no Austrian firmware there (my phone from Drei), while exist from other EU countries(my last update was from 2017-03-08 - and it's Italian, UK there)
also exist a Android 7(H84020xxx) for EU/SouthAmerica
upd: ROM is the same for all EU, but it's include additional software from mobile operators, which is different

Kyocera duraforce pro2 E6920 - Manual update???

Hello,
i have here e6920 phone...it is still on android 8.
Update to 9 is available but problem is that is needed to be on att network in us...and i am in europe.
Do you know if is possible to update it manually?
thx
What you mean is upgrading existing Android OS to a newer version.
Updates of existing Android version get rolled out by OEM/carrier ( in form of OTAs ) if they think it's necessary.
Upgrading from Android 8 to a newer version requires to flash a Custom Recovery ( like TWRP ) and afterwards flashing a Custom ROM that meets your expectection by means of the Custom Recovery.
...i mean OTA upgrade to android 9...problem is that i am not on att network - i am in europe.
So i need to flash official stock firmware via pc.
I mean that for e6920 is not twrp

RS988 - simple way to update stock firmware?

Hi guys, I just picked up a used LG G5 RS988 and it is on Android version 6.0.1 (RS98810a). When I check for updates it shows none. However, I have an LG G5 VS987 that is on Android 8.0.0. I understand that normal channel updates may no longer be available (and the Verizon version provided updates in a different way), but is there a simple(ish) way to flash a more recent stock Android version?
Answered my own question! Downloaded LG Bridge from lg.com and using it to install more recent Android version(s). I'll post the final version once the update is done.
OK, LG Bridge allowed me to install RS98810h ... additionally, I found this super-helpful thread and have all the tools installed to flash the newest firmware ( LG-RS98821a-Flashable.COMPLETE-ARB01.zip ) - I just wanted to confirm it is safe to go from 10h to 21a directly. If someone could confirm that, I'd appreciate it!

LG V60 Europe LM-V600EA

Hi,
I own the LG V60, EA variant. I read that Android 13 is available for a few version of V60, however on mine (currently running A12), it doesn't detect any new OTA since july 2022. Is there any restrictions for the update ? Might the model be too rare to receive an update ? Or else I need to flash the newer rom with my computer ?
Thanks all
Make first full backup included vital partitions.
I thinh EA will get update as last variant but maybe for now better to wait
If you want to try A13 you can use att or TM CAN variant.
