Followed the Unofficial TWRP link, this one https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...215-twrp-for-sony-xperia-1-iii.4515465/unread
TWRP didn't flash to slot b, and like an idiot I thought, "well let's just do a and see if that works..."
It didn't work, and now only getting a blinking red light when connected to power and computer. No amount of trying to go in to fastboot, bootloader, recovery works. Newflasher, XperiaCompanion, and Emma are not showing anything. I saw this post, and wondering if I've actually managed to brick it beyond repair https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/how-to-save-a-black-brick.4426071/post-86959167
Please help. Any and all feedback welcome!
Thank you!

Where did you have the twrp file saved? I personally save any file I flash to my phone in the same directory as Platform Tools/ADB Fastboot install...that way I don't have to add the path location to the terminal command line.

I made sure I was downloading the correct TWRP file for the 1 III, updated platform tools to the current version, renamed the img to twrp.img, attempted to flash, and now just getting the notification led blinking red
Here is everything I did- let me know if I messed up somewhere

Can I flash this file on whichever rom I'm on?
UH Oh battery low... Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1403100
Make sure you have the correct ROM for you phone. I had this issue kinda, was stuck at the screen, with less errors though. Perhaps the link below will help, it is my experience that RSD lite can be trying to install the correct ROM but still giving errors for some reason and a more manual approach is needed... for some reason.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1453660
I did not use this method, but just used fastboot to flash the individual partitions located in the ".xml" file in the FSB ROM file. Which is basically what the script in the link above does for you.
I have the same problem
What should i do?
I got only the ap fast boot failure

Yes..................................definitely get the battery charged and try different ROM. MattGroff's utility 1.7 worked for me to upgrade my rooted GB to ICS.
What is your original rom? Did you install the motorola drivers?

And in sk15 do you know where is ground?
To get this .inf file, you need to open Android SDK Manager from Start Menu and then download proper files, which mostly are automatically chosen.

mmmm so you are in fastboot mode?? (blue notification led on turned off phone connected to the pc)
if you are then you should try flashtool, you don't need to be rooted you just have to install it along with the drivers you will found on the drivers folder on the flashtool folder, start it, connect the phone on fastboot mode, select flash then fastboot mode, select flash kernel browse to the boot.img file and it should do the job.
Thanks, I've done everything by flashing rage kernel
The boot.img file has to be in the same folder as fastboot.exe file. Else it cannot find it and you would have to enter address manually.
Just make sure the boot.img file is in the same folder as fastboot.exe.

i had the same problem when i tried the first time.
Download flashtool and flash .402 ftf or similar. would recommend .402 though.
That helped me. It deleted everything on the phone except for the SD card, but a small price to pay for a quick fix.

First of all thank you very much for the reply!
By flashtool you mean the official flashtool of Sony or any other?
Because in the original application i'm getting error that i have to open my bootloader. But I can't because of the ADB issue.

The one i used is flashtool-0.9.16.0-windows. get it here https://docs.google.com/file/d/0ByK8JL7P6wDTMXRvcTdjMzVuNFk/edit
then visit http://www.flashtool.net/index.php for more info on how to proceed with install etc. also =)
also download ftf from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2759934 i recommend the .402 so you can use easyroot to root!
You should just be able to flash the corresponding kernel for your firmware via flashtool/adb to get it working again
Hello,
I'm trying to unlock the bootloader of my kindle fire Apollo, i'm using this tutorial Link., i'm getting most of it, but this i just dont understand:
download the attachment on the following post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...2&postcount=46
Then place the file inside the attachement to C:\Python27 should be C:\Python\cuberHDX.py

I've just put the cuberHDX file in my python27 directory, and tried following everything else. I think most of it worked, i've gotten a .unlock file, but when i try to flash it to my device it just says <waiting for device>.

Try these drivers. Might require reboot and/or dis- and re-connection of the HDX. Worked for me right away though.

any idea's?
btw my kindle says: "getvarartition-type:unlock...Ok."
You must change dir (cd) to your ADB Directory, enter cd\adb and then the fastboot command.
Alternatively you can try to add the path of your ADB Directory to the .unlock file, e.g. c:\adb\0x155.....unlock.

You Sir are amazing!
Now i'm going to have to install some sort of recovery... i was thinking of using this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/kin...ecovery-twrp-recovery-2-8-1-0-apollo-t2991155, are there any alternatives or better options?
TWRP is the best you can get for the HDX.

You can only install a recovery that has been customized for your device type (HDX Apollo or Thor). Any other will either leave you with a non-functioning recovery (best case) or a useless brick (more likely). Word to the wise: don't deviate from the script when messing with an HDX. Hard to tame and nearly impossible to recover. Standard bag of 'android' recovery tricks (eg: factory cables, fastboot, etc) won't work with this device.
I was really dumb and wanted to unroot so i decided to flash a stock_recovery.img to my Huawei LYO-L01. When prompted where to i selected boot without looking it up first :crying: Now when i open my phone i get a black screen that says
Android system recovery <3e>
LYO-L21C479B102
Reboot system now
apply update from ADB etc. etc.
I can still boot into TWRP and have a folder with some recovery files from when i rooted my phone.
How can i get my phone back into a bootable state?
I imagine i can just get a fresh boot img form extracting this update.app i see everyone taking about but i dont know where to get an update.app. Can someone point me towards a download?
