The issue I wish to solve is GPS apps telling me that there is no GPS signal available
However GPS Status is still able to display some good data
When I still had my TP2 this issue was instantly solved with GPS Mod Driver
My attempts to locate a sister app to this for Android (HTC Sensation) have fallen short
Any suggestions?
Hello, I'm basically new to this forum, but I used it a lot for many questions that I wondered. I have a strange issue with gps on my Jiayu G3T 6589t mobile phone. I start gps navigation app, little wait, get signal, and it is working really good, but after an hour of using, gps start to loose signal every 2 minutes, and get it back repeatadly. All what helps is that I go out from navigation app, turn off gps, open aplication and start gps. Does anybody knows what may be the cause, and how to fix it. I already have epo file and full agps. I used copilot, here beta, and sygic, and always the same..
Hello,
I get a GPS fix within 10 seconds. But with Maps, however, the signal jumps back and forth. Also, the signal does not show exactly the location, or a few meters away. These problems are probably also known to the UMI users. Somehow I have read what of MTK tools, where this problem can be fixed. Can someone post a tutorial, or link?
Thx.
Hi, looking forward to fix the same issue... Any news?

Gday mate,
I was having similar issues with my GPS jumping to the street next to me whilst driving and getting itself all turned around. The other issue I had was bluetooth would not connecting to my car, so I tried a few things on this list: http://www.theandroidsoul.com/fix-nougat-bluetooth-issues/
Specifically what seemed to fix my bluetooth AND GPS was this: (I also set the passcode on the car to '0000')
"This is a really good fix, confirmed to work by many people. To reset your Bluetooth settings, fire up the Settings app, and locate and tap on Backup & reset option. Now, touch ‘Network settings reset’, and then ‘Reset settings’. Confirm this on next screen. Note: This will reset all your settings related to WiFi, Bluetooth and mobile data. Keep that in mind. If you need WiFi urgently, then better do this later on."
The above made my GPS a bit more stable. Since then I have updated the device to the latest beta: PLUS.V3.02_20170208_c239v55_kw_u3_no-DB and GPS is working perfect now. Link from bencebacsi on UMi Forum: http://www.mediafire.com/file/hh1069alx7v8i6i/PLUS.V3.02_20170208_c239v55_kw_u3_no-DB.rar
Best of luck mate!

It's not usable for this problem.
I tested Faster GPS after rooted, MTK tools, Engineering Mode, and another more tools and tricks, and nothing helped me with better gps signal on my UMI plus.
In enginneering mode I deleted data from hot, cold, warm and full gps start without A-GPS started, A set position from detected position, download new satellites positions, then start A-GPS and it was same how before. GPS signal on Mediatek chipset is bad.
Sometimes I have fixed 12 satellites, another time zero satellites. Gps signal jumping from zero to good in the car, or outdoor.
Hi,
my phone has problems to find a good GPS signal, since the last Update.
9.0.0.215(C432E4R1P11) ist the installed version.
I have tried already to find a fix, but no one reported the same error yet.
I watched via GPS Test what happens. The phone find's up to 9 satellites with a good signal, what should be enough to get the location. but then its resets all connections and start to search it again.
Does anyone has a Idea to fix this, without a reset or a visit at a service center?
Thanks in advance.
Some users have reported the same problem, Huawei will fix it in the next update.
Hello! a quick fix until they update the system is to turn your phone horizontally when on google map using your GPS. I've been experimenting and so far it worked for me, hope it works for you too.
Hey guys,
I'm running the latest beta on my Mi 8 Lite and I'm experiencing this bug that annoys me so much.. if I stop using GPS for a while and turn location off when I turn on to use again my location doesn't lock it just keeps following me and I can't make routes etc.. My only solution is rebooting the device and even that doesn't work sometimes, in Oreo that never happened so maybe it's Pie related? It feels like GPS has its own will if it works or not... If someone has a solution I would be very grateful
If anyone is having the same problem I found a fix simply by editing the file gps.conf located in /vendor/etc (root needed) changing the ntp server to my country which in this case is Brazil.
How it was:
#NTP server
NTP_SERVER=time.izatcloud.net
NTP_SERVER_2=asia.pool.ntp.org
NTP_SERVER_3=0.cn.pool.ntp.org
And now is:
#NTP server
NTP_SERVER=time.izatcloud.net
NTP_SERVER_2=south-america.pool.ntp.org
NTP_SERVER_3=0.br.pool.ntp.org
After this my gps accuracy improved a lot locking position even when I'm inside the house
