Not the October security update that just dropped, but the one before it my ability to move Apps to the SD card stopped.bwhennintry it goes through the progress bar to the end but then says not enough space.
I haven't touched any of the settings so I don't know what it could be.
Any ideas?

Called Samsung support. My tablet is still under warranty. He believes the SD card is not being detected correctly. So I am taking it to my local certified Samsung technician.
Which apps are you trying to move exactly?
Try checking enable force write external from developer options.
If possible try formatting it and check it has write protection disabled.

Same Issue here I've tried that force option in the developer options with no success.
Tried several different cards and still no success. I think it's a bug. I've yet to find anyone to tell me that they can do it.
Using INS built on A11 and A12 app moving to SD works fine. Could be hardware issue issue definitely not a bug unless you flashed custom rom earlier

Just for clarification. By INS you are referring to the Instagram app?
Also to clarify you were able to do it on the SM-T220 or the SM-T225? Running one UI 4.1?
Last thing what brand and size of SD are you using. This really shouldn't matter but I've heard crazier things.

Also just some added information. I've also tried inserting a usb thumb drive as storage and tried to move apps and got the same error. More evidence that it's not hardware related because the same thing is happening multiple different ways with multiple different cards. The very last card I tried was brand new never been in another device therefore low chance it was corrupted.

Means Indian Variant of Firmware on A11 and A12.
Running T225 LTE and Yes, UI 4.1 as well.
Could you be using third party app or moving wrong apps which doesn't support external storage functionality?

I'm guessing that is is the reason. Different variant and different regional software. I'm on the North American software.
Also I'm sure it's not the app that doesn't support it because I also have a A7 2020 version and I am able to move the same app on that device. Ex eBay app on both and it works on the A7 but doesn't work on A7 Lite.
I have the same problem, we're a lot of users with this bug on the Samsung forum, hope the One Ui 5.0 update fix this problem on January.

Do you use a INS built on Android 12 and it works? I just downgrade my tablet to android 11 to solve this issue.
Yes, I have A12 with 4.1 UI though I already had apps on SD card from A11 since too many app and little storage.
I updated manually using ODIN and HOME_CSC, I think you should rather wait for A13 than switching to A12 again.
I think A13 with UI 5 will be available in all regions by mid of Jan.
Tab s7 with remove apps storage ability. May be with next A13 update for Tab a7 lite.

I'm hoping so. Otherwise I'm going to get rid of this tablet. If I'm going to be severely limited on what apps I can download then what's the point of having it in the first place?
I just installed A13 update on my A7 Lite T-200. Moving apps to external storage seems to work fine for me now The device seems to be slightly less laggy overall in the UI aswell.

Once he has released a Stable Version, I will post his links on the main thread. For now though his Beta's have been tested and stable for everyday use from what I am hearing.
NOTE #2:
If you don't need the installation directions, follow Note #1 and go find yourself the latest 'Beta' posted by the aforementioned user.
NOTE #3:

Camera Issue
Hi,
I have recently installed the PA rom and so far I liked it a lot.
However I noticed there is a bug with the camera.
Stock camera app: Function fine
Other camera apps (LINE camera, Instagram): Buggy, always come up with a message "cannot connect to the camera"
Please see if there is a fix on it?
Deleted Post : Irrelevant.
Absolutely brilliant! I tried porting PA to my N7105 (on Telstra as well, actually) but only got part of it to work. Do you plan to keep this updated at all?

Thank you, but as I've mentioned in the original post I don't deserve the thanks, so go thank the original developers. I've linked them in the OP.
It seems there is a new update (in the link available on the Original Post). Anyone facing any issues should definitely update their ROM.

NOTE: For all those who are not aware, all AT&T ROMS run on the international version of the NOTE 2 (n7105). I am also running Jedi ROM, that is the smoothest ROM running android 4.1.2

You're welcome, do not forget to thank the original developers.
I interchange between them, depending on which one is running the later version (between the download link I provided, and the one in the AT&T section). Because the porting of this ROM is not done by the official developer you will find that sometimes one updates their "download link" prior to the other.
what filesystems are supported on the microSD? thanks
Hi, I am from singapore, is this for at&t phones or can I stil use this rom with the starhub/singapore modem?
Hi, it should be okay since both phones shares the same hardware and OP uses the same model as us. Although the only problem is whether the future builds will be compatible with our model. There are some roms out there that aren't made for our model but works fine when its flashes but things got all wonky when a new build comes out. If you're looking for a rom that has the hybrid mode, Rootbox has that, along with Halo.

Hi, I have no other problems on this Rom except for one. The sound replay and stuffs like that. Like when I'm trying to hear out some tones for my notifications, it doesn't play out any sounds. When I'm using zedge as well. Any idea what might be the cause and fix? Only sometimes I try closing and opening the app again or the system settings then it would work out somehow but most of the time the replay sounds just doesn't work. Please help
Does this ROM support the "One-Handed use" feature from stock as well as the s-pen?

I have an MT2-L03
1. The only way to see it is with ES File explorer.
2. There's no way to unmount it.
With every other phone/tablet I've had you get a notification when you plug in the flash drive. You can also see it in standard file managers. You can see it under "Storage" in settings and unmount it from there.

Well then. I would think this bodes well for the HAM2-L03. It almost seems like this update could be a test run for the US model before Huawei commits to announcing EMUI 3.
Rooted HAM2-L03 owners, let us know how the update works out for you.
Patch available
Looks like the patch just hit my phone. Getting ready for bed, thought I'd check it (05:10 UTC, 10:10pm CDT)
I'm 100% stock, no root, no bootloader unlock, straight out of the box, with the only change being the launcher,
Nova Launcher.
Yup, I see it too. Funny how the release date says October 6th even though it's supposed to be the 8th.
I'll try it tomorrow when I get home. Edit: With all the talk about the possibility of losing root, I might hold off for a bit. Also I've been getting SystemUI crashes, so I might reset first.
I am seeing the update as well.
I am stock uprooted and just updated without issue.
Update Now Available
I just checked and it said update available. but when i went to install it it booted into twrp and installed something so quick I could not see but then when i restarted the phone it was still the same b126 and not b148 and still said i have an update to install.. trying some more stuff now. Just checking to see if i could do it without a fresh unrooted backup.

Official nightlies aren't happening anymore,
so here's a more up to date build. Vanilla cm12.1 except for eri.xml/apn tweaks and binfmt_misc enabled in kernel.
Special for the a5_chl Virgin Mobile US Desire 816,
may work ok on other a5's too.
Note: a5_dug, a5_dwg dual sim telephony are not working correctly. buyer beware.
Flashes fine with official TWRP.
Official HTC firmware here:
http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-desire-816-virgin-mobile/news/
I strongly suggest updating your firmware to htc lollipop with an official ruu or you may have hardware issues like touchscreen, wifi, and/or bluetooth problems. It might work with kitkat firmware though, and you are free to try if you want. Post results if you do.
It appears kitkat firmware can cause not only touch issues but wifi issues.
xXminiWHOOPERxX said:
Okay ,
Rom and firmware are two different things... inside OTA's it contains a firmware.zip at which updates bootloader, radio, etc.... so without taking firmware upgrades and just installing what's released on XDA will lead you to bugs other users don't have ..
For Example :
4.4.4 firmware will work with 5.0.2 fine for some users and some have to update too 5.0.2 for Wi-Fi to work...
But any Android version past 5.0.2 you need to have either lollipop firmware or marshmallow firmware in order for Wi-Fi to work...

Wipe cache, data, and system for clean flash.
Dirty flash not recommended. 5.0 gapps crash on 5.1
If you wanna try a dirty flash I recommend wiping system, cache, and dalvik cache, then your apps and some settings may survive.
Disclaimer: Void warranty, not responsible for anything, you know flashing is your choice and any damage is your own problem.
issues:
mobile data sometimes needs toggled to activate, using airplane mode on/off.
apparently the livedisplay function isn't working well ( maybe not at all)
as mentioned above, dual sim devices not fully functional.
I'm afraid that since I have a mostly working marshmallow build, that needs TLC and attention paid to it, that I can't justify putting any more time into cm12. So unless there security patches released or something, the 12/25 is the last cm12 build I'm releasing.

sultanxda's SnapdragonCamera is included as of 12/25 build. it seems to freeze on the first picture after installation but works ok after that once rebooted.
I'm leaving the link to the source built from the ROM standalone camera zip in case anyone needs it. Flash in recovery. If you flashed the one I ripped from the Yureka forum, flash this one over it.
You may have to clear its app data if flashing over, and it may freeze. The 12/25 ROM seems to get along OK with the camera after the first picture and a reboot if you really want the camera.

it's tweaked for chl, but the device code detects several varieties.
according to the zip updater script:
This package is for device: a5,a5tl,a5dug,a5dwg,a5chl,a5ul;
as people test them I can add to the OP.
I only have a chl myself.
How usable is this build? Would you recommend it for daily smartphone use? Or is this just a preview / proof of concept?

Is the dual sim problem on a5dug will ever be fixed on our phone or is just a cyanogenmod 12 problem that will never be fixed. I searched hours on google and didn`t find anything useful...

It works as well as any other CM 12.1 build I've run on a device. I haven't found any bugs yet, besides the wifi cutting out briefly once.
I had flashed on 816W dual sim ,Both sim couldn't be detected
@bigsupersquid is 320 DPI the standard for the HTC Desire 816, or is that just the default that CM applies? Just curious, because the UI elements seem much bigger in CM than stock.
Thanks.
@bigsupersquid
Thanks man! I've been running it for about 3 hours with no problems, and its nice to have a up to date secure version of CM. Thanks a bunch for your work!
Flashed it on a5dug and could not detect both sims. I really hope u could make it work for all variants. I have been using 5.1.1 as my daily driver for 2 months now and i love it.
Do MMS and Bluetooth work well on this? Every other version of CM I've tried, bluetooth turns off after an hour or two and not even a reboot will turn it on again.
@Icelus I can try turning on BT and seeing how long it will stay on if you want. Is there a better way to test?

my mms is OK on virgin mobile, and bt seems OK. I'll leave it on a while, then try to pair stuff and toggle it on and off to let you know.
over two hours, bt still on, pairs/forgets/pairs again/ fine, toggles off/on and reconnects automatically.
anyone with hardware issues:
I had another user update their firmware to lollipop to get around touchscreen problems with this rom and it worked.
I will add that to the OP with more info from users to verify the firmware needs to be updated. My htc evo 3d is certainly picky about its firmware and rom combinations.

while I'd like to help with that, but I don't have the hardware to test on; without that there's too much guesswork. Google isn't much help, implies RIL patch based on other phones with same issue. Sorry. I'll add the info to the OP though.

How usable is this build? Would you recommend it for daily smartphone use? Or is this just a preview / proof of concept?

This seems stable to me, actually haven't had one random reboot yet, or other noticable hiccup. Way better than the kitkat I daily drivered on my old optimus v.
Now if I decide to play with marshmallow, and actually get it booting, that would be proof of concept/alpha most likely.
Does this have the issue where Bluetooth turns off randomly while on and it becomes unable to be reenable until reboot? Cuz that's my only issue with cm12 so far

Do MMS and Bluetooth work well on this? Every other version of CM I've tried, bluetooth turns off after an hour or two and not even a reboot will turn it on again.

my mms is OK on virgin mobile, and bt seems OK.

I'm not having any bluetooth problems at all. but I haven't done much more than test it to be sure it works, either. I'll leave it on longer and see if it drops out.

Hi Folks,
As title says, beta has been started for BKL-L09C675 for Indian model. Once beta is over or build is stable enough, you may expect the public release. Initially it was for very less number of users but then it was opened for many who all filled the beta request form.
Someone from beta group has shared the update on firmware finder but that is not yet approved for installation as it is bound with IMEI.
Anyone still looking for applying for beta can fill this form if there is a slot, they may add you to the beta program (there are more chances of being able to join beta currently)

If you registered for beta, it will come directly to updater rather than joining any beta program.

If that the case how are we able to receive the ota update pushed through imei number. I have al00 registered imei number how can I get indian l09 675 update.
I guys they are providing beta update through serial number.
Serial number authentication is new method they are trying to enforce. If serial number is used for ota update. I guess we will not receive any update in future.

Did you understand bro what i said?
IMEI is different in Fastboot and about phone info. Initially honor sent a form with serial number but then changed back to imei again. OTA that you are getting is imei based.
Regarding no update, you we will get, I am 200% sure, but on imei. Serial number is not changed in debranding so dont worry.
I have the beta running for 24 hours now.
Please consider sharing the firmware for people outside india / beta program...will it violate NDA?

Is desktop mode available in the new EMUI 9?
successfully installed BKL-L09C636E3R1P8B108-log (9.0.0.108) from FF with NoCheck Recovery.
I really dont like chinese OEMs' app managing (too many options that duplicates),
and hate huawei lockscreen bcuz it slightly enlarges the picture i set,
and also darkens top and bottom of the screen which make overall lockscreen looks dimmer and dark.
but I can bear all these annoying things with new Camera app.
Still cant believe a software update can make this much difference with same hardware,
since ported oreo camera app for pie AOSP is not stable and takes mediocre pictures.
Cant wait EMUI 9 get Rooted and use this wonderful app with AOSP GSI.

Hey sorry, I read it though.. somewhere I read that the beta program file contains just one, not three and flashing that resulted in bootloop for BKL-L09C675.. I think u need to have 3 files in order for Nocheck recovery to work.

what ROM do you use?
EDIT: I saw in other thread of yours, you are in Official MIUI, you just unlocked bootloader. Well in Official when u unlock bootloader and stay there the device will say uncertified. You can use other ROM with the "proper changes" build in to have ur device certified. If you wanna stay on Official and have certified your device you need to lock again ur bootloader I guess. OR you can use the module Magisk Hide Props Config.

Yeah did that and it worked...
Scared me once cuz I even thought of locking bootloader and there was this guy who said if you lock the bootloader you can't unlock again and it'll brick lmao. Hey and can you tell me the list of all items you could delete from the root directory. As you know that miui takes up all of root directory's storage space. And I kind of deleted some impo files which included Android system web view(no worries I installed web view canary and now it's working fine lol). I deleted files from system/product/app where there was web view thingy. What's your suggestion?
This is where I deleted the web view folder lol. What do you say?

I switched from Official ROM long ago, since MIUI 12 update.
I recommend you to switch in a custom ROM too.
MIUI is bloated, apps running in background send data to chinese servers, privacy nightmare, low battery life, bugs, slow updates in security patches (and I guess no more updates) and with the latest updates they slowed down the performance in purpose. Oh...and still Android 10

Same bruh but I'm dying to get the raise to wake and ir as fast as in miui. Do you know of any roms which have Deez? Like just raise the phone and you just teleport to the home screen without triggering the lock screen. I want that quality update but I can't find it anywhere
Edit: hey what if I did some build prop tweaking, can I get the raise to wake?

I guess ROMs with a lot of customizations such as crDroid, HavocOS, EvoX, Fluid, AEX, etc. may have it. Check their features or ask about it in the proper threads or on their telegrams.

Did check em all but none is as good as in miui.. that's why I bore with the buggies and stupid ass ads and notifs of miui. Cuz that feature was more prioritised for me.. anyways I hopped to pe plus now... Although it isn't there and the ir takes a second, I guess it's worth the shot
