Introduction
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 13 (T), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Upstream updates and fixes.
2022/12/13
Initial release of LineageOS 20.0 for Z Ultra.
Screenshots
soon
Glad to check out this model is still being maintained with talents like Tarkzim.
Used to have performance backward on A12, so I have stayed at A11 for a longtime.
Hope A13 could make some improvement for the ancient SKU like Z ultra then.
Any chance of ever getting SELinux Enforced?
did install this, seems all good, nice noticeable upgrade over a12 in terms of performance.
anyone tell me if there is a way to make apps think bluetooth is working? Im running my device as a google home hub/smart controller thing, but i cannot set up any of these apps as they all want bluetooth ON for setup.. I dont mind that its a bug and bt actually dont work. thanks bros
Wow what a good update I'm still surprised you're still supporting this phone, didn't expect to see the z ultra to get android 13 but its really smooth while scrolling thru the UI there's still some jitters when opening apps but that's fine. But unfortunately touch still doesn't work on mine I'm the guy with the screen replacement z ultra, and camera doesn't work on mine. But still thanks for this amazing update for the z ultra community.

Same here, I would very appreciate it if anyone had the time to make it work on the replaced screens. The touch works on twrp-2.8.5.0-togari.img and that's a 11mB file but still could find why it works and doesn't work on higher androids or recoveries.

I've copied files out of the TWRP2.8.5 recovery only install to the attached zip if anyone were interested to investigate in.
Also I think it might have to do something with the power and wake files as the touch work on RR-N-v5.8.3-20170525-togari-Official as long as the device doesn't go to sleep. After going to sleep you have to reboot device to make it work again.
Device tree files for the recovery are here:

Yeah that's quite interesting, I've also experience that before when I was trying out other roms too. And the funny thing is my friends realme 5 pro touch works on the latest android that also has its screen replaced, but maybe that's a whole different code works compared to our z ultra. Maybe one day I'll try to figure this out, this is why I've chose computer engineering lmao.

So I looked into some files and in the proprietary-files.txt file form https://github.com/TeamWin/android_device_sony_togari mentions two files that I didn't see in Tarkzim's device tree for TWRP.

Also I checked https://github.com/Sony-Kernels/android_kernel_sony_msm8974_togari_5.x and https://github.com/vovanx500/ConceptKernel in the \drivers\input\touchscreen some files are different in each and in Tarkzim's kernel. I saw some lines in max1187x.c that was related to power mode and stuff and had some extra stuff in it.
The https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...8-3-25-05-17-7-1-2-nougat-for-togari.3588285/ which is the only 5+ ROM that my touch works (only if I don't put the phone to sleep) mentions using Sony's A7 kernel but the link is dead.
I would like to try to build TWRP at least to test out stuff but I don't have a good internet connection and free space to download all the necessary files to build. So just dumped this info here if you were interested.

New build released
Updated to Android 13.0.0_r35 with March security patches.
Upstream updates and fixes.
heya! good day!
Absolutely amazing to see this device still getting updates.
recently picked one up this phone. absolutely insane how sleek it is. especially for the size. and it's not that slow either for a decade old device.
i am going to use my ultra as a car digital dash so i sadly need to use the older android with working Bluetooth.
is there any chance this version of android is going to get Bluetooth working for it?
and also. i noticed a discussion about touch not working only on replacement screens? what's up with that?
Hi!
I'm a noob I just created an account.
So I flashed TWRP-3.7.0 but touch wasn't working so I hooked a mouse thinking it's only a recovery issue and flashed the Lineage20.0 and BiTGApps with no error and phone(C6802) booted fine. but
1.Touchscreen still doesn't work.(touchscreen has been replaced)
2.my PC doesn't recognize the phone anymore but Fastboot works.
I've already tried the google responses like uninstalling and reinstalling drivers/cables/USB ports.
I have to say I also rooted the device with Magisk but uninstalled it.
any ideas?
thanks XDA people
thanks @tarkzim
Just wondering, how long does it take for lineageos to first boot, it's just been on the boot screen for ages!
Is this "replaced touchscreen not working" issue a CustomROM, LineageOS problem or it's specific to this build?
I'm asking because I'm thinking about buying another touchscreen, one taken from another C6802 to see if it works.
Should I try it?

This build is designed for the Wifi-only variant (SM-T550) but it will flash and boot on the LTE variant (SM-T555), your tablet will act like a wifi only tablet so you will not have calling, texting, mobile data. In the future, I may make a SM-T555 build that has working telephony but probably not due to me not having one.
What's working:
Wifi
Bluetooth

Offline charging
Hardware buttons
What's broken:
GPS is flaky
Camera
Audio

@Deadman9365 Hi! Could you tell me which TWRP do you use? I found on the web only an UNOFFICIAL one which works only on MM... Could you help me, please? I would like to try this ROM
I have the same problem as user nils_92.
The old "nightly" version (lineage-14.1-20170619-NIGHTLY-gt510wifi) boots, but the new one (Sean_lineage-14.1-20180418-UNOFFICIAL-gt510wifi) does not. Here the device restarts again and again before it has been completely loaded for the first time. Tested with "TWRP-3.1.x-omni-7.1_j16_20170609_gt510wifi" and "TWRP-3.2.1.1-lineage-15.1_j2_20180418_gt510wifi" as recovery
I also tested the recoverys, the flashing of other custom roms for the SM-T550 works fine. So here you can rule out the error. What I haven't tried yet was to leave the device alone and see if it might catch itself again and then boot into the operating system at some point.
I can confirm for the nightly-version that the camera and the sound do not work.
Looking forward to testing the final version.
Is work still being done on this rom? I checked the github but i dont see any recent commits
Title says lineage 14.1 but github link are stating 15.1?
I am looking forward to flashing the next release and getting some more juice out of this tablet
Can I flash it on SM-P550?
I have T550 before; i just trade off for S pen.
New version not booting.
I have tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7) SM-T550
I do install TWRP 3.1.0.1 with ROM LineageOS 14.1.
1) Use to Wipe Factor Reset
2) Use to install Rom
3) Use to install GApps
4) Reboot
But, its not working (When i start "reboot") > "SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB A 9.7" after "LINEAGEOS" cant open launhcer, its alone off tablet and on again...
Thank you developer and thank you all for not responding me.
Finally I have bricked my Tab, I'm very thankful to you guys.

Hi @deadman96385 nice to See you Continue working on this tab?. Still got my sm-t555 running so i hope there will be a release for lte Version. Tell me if
i can Test for you again
I'm working in order to keep this device alive, too.
Oreo works and the camera is working in my testbuilds, except for some grainy previews in the camera app.
I'll release a build when the speakers are working. Headphones are working already.
Stay tuned
Audio is working now. Feel free to use my vendor & device tree here @deadman96385. There are still some camera related issues, for instance the bad preview in the stock camera app. Using a different camera app solved this issue for me. Since deadman already supports Lineage OS, I'll build & support AICP. Android Oreo works on the tablet, I hope deadman will switch to the newest version of android soon. If there's some time in the next month I'll try to fix the remaining issues (the camera and SELinux permissive). Maybe I have time to build a SM-T555 version, too. But I don't own this type of tablet, so I would definitely need some testers.

Useful Info
Some tips and tricks:
Due to the light sensor not working I would recommend you use UnderBurn from the google play store in its place it works very well
Due to the device not passing safety net you will need to manually download Netflix I recommend using apkmirror but things like XDA labs works as well. Here is a direct link to the netflix app on apkmirror be sure to download the arm verison.
To control the rotation, I recommend using Rotation Control it allows you to lock the rotation so apps can't change it on their own as well as forcing to true portrait mode.
Screenshots/Pictures:
Any chance this will work with at&t version, sm-t677a? I don't care if I loose the cellular functionality, I only use wifi. Thanks.

I doubt the AT&T/Verizon have unlockable bootloaders sadly, the only LTE model that could be supported is SM-T677 international variant
AWESOME!
Give this dev a medal for this awesome ROM! A middling device was turned into total awesome. I also like the galaxy wallpaper, now my Galaxy View has a galaxy view, hahaha.
I'd suggest any number of free rotation control apps. They did NOT work in controlling the orientation of the stock rom, but they work here beautifully for both portrait and landscape.

I personally use Rotation Control (the one from "CrapeMyrtle", as there's a paid app with the exact same name). I keep the guard option turned on (to prevent apps from changing the orientation themselves) and set it to start on boot with Landscape. It can also force the tablet into portrait mode, (real portrait mode, not pillar-boxed landscape mode) which was impossible in the stock ROM.

This fixes all of the minor bugs that can be fixed as well as some minor quality of life improvements. I will now be working on fixing up the camera and sensor and doing some basic housekeeping so supporting gvlte (SM-T677) will be easier in the future.
deadman96385 Thank you for not giving up, you are amazing! How did you fix Wi-Fi not working and system reboots compared to the previous marshmallow build you worked on. Was it tricky?
Should go without saying, but certainly hoping that this is lighter and faster than stock ROM

I gotta give credit where credit is do the exynos7580 devs did a great job of making a unified kernel and a common device tree so in reality, it didn't take too much for me to get it to the state it is now.
On a side note for everyone, I have released an Android TV build check it out here
Are you supposed to be able to set the brightness to zero? I accidentally set it to zero and the screen got stuck on "off" (I couldn't see how to turn it back up). I ended up having to reinstall the rom.
This might be a Gapps issue, but if you use the Gapps aroma variant (the one that lets you pick and choose which apps to install), the install menu will be upside down, but the buttons on the touch screen will only respond if you push where they're SUPPOSED to be, rather than where they actually are. That makes it really awkward to choose the Gapps you want.

Being able to set a zero brightness isn't supposed to be possible, I'll fix that for the next build. So the menu being upside down is due to the panel on the galaxy view being mounted upside down. I had to build twrp/lineage so the ui was rotated 180, Aroma must not support it.
Hi deadman, cheers for the great work. Installed yesterday and found some issues:
Left tablet switched off but connected to charger all night, did not charge. Then I tablet on to find I had no touchscreen, no response at all. No even to power button. Could only get to twrp going through download mode and reinstalled. All seems fine now but still no charge indicator.
So the tablet apparently only wants to charge when in twrp? That is if I can get it in twrp without freezing up (see twrp issue I reported.) .But then when rebooting the system freezes, no touchscreen, so I reboot randomly until by chance everything unfreezes..

Huh. I honestly thought something was wrong with my charger or the tablet itself. Didn't occur to be that it was caused by the rom. But yes, it only wants to charge when it's off, or in recovery. It will simply refuse to charge when it's in the OS (the charger will only keep it from draining).
Another observation: with the old twrp and root, OTG was working just fine, not anymore with latest twrp and lineage........
Thank you so much for your efforts deadman96385!!! I just got a brand new Samsung View and can't wait to try this. Did anyone try rooting yet?

Installation instructions:
1. Make sure you have TWRP installed on your device to be able to flash the rom.
2. Download the latest build from the link above and copy it to a place where you can find it later.
3. Optionally download GApps for using the Play Store and other Google related services from here: https://opengapps.org. Choose ARM as architecture and 8.1 as the OS version. The size of the GApps package is upon to you how much apps you want to have preinstalled. Copy this zip aswell to a place where you can find it easy later. If you download it with Chrome or with the Google Drive App it should be by default in the Download folder.
4. Turn your phone off and press Volume UP + Home Button + Power button at the same time until the splash screen appears. Then your device should boot into the recovery. There you wipe following partitions: Data, System, Cache, Dalvik if this is your first install. All of your installed applications get lost by this. Your photos, videos etc. won't get deleted if you haven't ticked the box for internal storage. As the kernel also supports F2FS i would change the filesystem for the cache partition from ext4 to f2fs for a better system performance. Now go to the main TWRP menu, click on install and go to the place where you have placed your zips and first select the rom and then click on the left button if you have downloaded the optional GApps package to add another zip to the queue. Now swipe the slider at the bottom to install and reboot the phone to the system. The first boot can take a while and after booting you could experience some lags because of the GApps initialization but they should disappear after some time.
5. Now you have successfully installed the rom and you're ready to use ResurrectionRemix on your device. Congratulations!
Bugs:
- VoLTE (isn't working on samsung devices and won't work anytime in the future too)
- Same as LineageOS 15.1

4-core processor or 8-core processor?
If 8 core enabled, can we get 4 core enabled version?
Also thank you all of you guys for still developing for A310F users. I wish i can donate for you guys but PayPal is not avalaible in our country.

Quad Core Kernel. I won't publish any of my new roms with Octa Core Kernel's because of the high battery drain.
You don't need to donate me anything. I don't even have set up PayPal .

And i dont like Octa Core too. Phone overheats and battery drain is too much like you said.
Keep up that great work !
Does sound work in all apps? I've used three other 8.0 roms and they all recorded mic very quietly in apps like Snap and Insta.

As I see this rom audio recording is working fine right? I had another issue with L15.1 which was that I couldn't get faceunlock to work at all, it didn't even show up in the setings. It wasn't the gapps cause I use those same gapps on extendedAOSP and it worked. Also at some point the mic stopped working, etheir for calls nor audio recording. I'm on 14.1 now but it doesn't play flac natively and the music player I use doesn't support flac by itself, all the rest is great en 14.1. So, if anyone is kind enough to advice me about this ROM that'd be great, I'm getting a little tired of flashing, mostly because I need the phone for work during the day and the microphone dying is not cool XD Thanks in advance.

Most audio issues are fixed in the latest version.
RR should be as stable as my Lineage OS builds as it is based on my trees. Only current issue is buggy MTP but this will be mostly solved in our kernel tree soon.
RR-Pie-v.7.0.1 is coming soon
Hi,
(This is my first post on xda, so I'm not sure I'm doing it right. Tell me if I should do it differently so I learn)
I like this rom, and have used it in various versions of several devices, so I'm happy to see it is developed for this device too.
However, when i try to flash it to my SM-A310F, I get the error that this rom is for a3xelte, while my device is (blank space) .
I use TWRP v. 3.0.2.1 and have flashed the revolution OS rom with success. This rom works ok, but I just miss some the customizations and functionalities in RR.
-And also the lack of samsung software, which I use none of and just disable.
I general, I can install roms which are based on the stock samsung rom in some way or another (like the revolution OS), but not roms like RR, dotOS or lineages.
From Software settings (running revolution OS):
Baseband: A310FXXU2BPG6
Kernel version: 3.10.105-NOUGAT-ALX-0.0.2
So, do any of you clever people have a good idea why my SM-A310F is not considered worthy for RR? Is there a way to flash it anyway, or is this a hardware issue of some sort?
And thanks!

You need to update TWRP. Here you find the latest official build: https://eu.dl.twrp.me/a3xelte
And also you could do a baseband update. Flash the newest firmware for your country via ODIN and install TWRP and RR after that again.
I recommend you to use RR 7 (Android 9) instead of this. I haven't published a build since a long while.
Thanks so much for the very quick response! I will give both a try starting with updating twrp. I'm not sure where to look for the baseband update, but I will try to find it if twrp update does not work.

You can use the tool samfirm (google it) or updato.com
Baseband updates can improve signal strength/battery life. But it is not necessary.
Thanks again, I really appreciate your help.
I'd love to try RR7, but I can't find the download link in the relevant thread (it says removed by OP) or in the RR homepage. Therefore I chose this version instead. Is RR7 available somewhere else.

my god I can't believe that today 02/17/2022 my harpia is running android 12 (S) I swear to God that today I was looking at the forum and I found this I was speechless just today I had done a review of Lineage OS (11) sincerely, you deserve a lot of recognition for continuing to do this and continue to maintain a cell phone that is years old, it is my daily phone now that I found out about this, I did not sit idly by and flash it, I congratulate you, it is a rom very stable and fast, I want to comment on something and it is that with android 11 it took me 2 minutes to start the launcher, here it only takes me 17-18 seconds to start the system I can tell you that this system can become the most stable and quickly for this mobile I will continue waiting for more updates of this version of android and thank you very much for allowing me to continue using my cell phone I have had the opportunity to obtain high-end cell phones but I love my harpia and as a friend told me If something works well for you, don't change it for anything. thankful to all the maintainers who work hard to get updates out.
I want to say that I have only had a small mistake and it is that when I lower the notification bar the cell phone becomes very slow and it takes a few seconds to lower it, I hope they correct the rest, it is perfectly fine, thank you very much! for everything soon a review for this rom so that more people see and appreciate your work.
Booting and installing the image works like a charm and pretty easy.
I tried different GApps but none of them did install. They fail with
Code:

as shown

w/a does not work. I tried arm (not arm64).
Tested one arm64 NikGApps, this one did install but as expected did not show up.
Can anyone recommend gapps for arm and LOS 19.0?
Thanks

Now my nearly oldest HW runs the newest Android Version.
So far no lag at all, it feels really fast

I was very happy to see that someone made android 12 run on harpia, great job by the way.

is monet already working in this version?
I just installed this ROM twice on my harpy, first impression I found quite fluid even for this model. Then when lowering the notification bar the system would slow down too slow and bug, then give interface error dai or the screen would go dark and erase, after that it gave bootloop. Despite this it seems to be a good ROM hopefully improve this so I can use. Monet's not working.

Hello dear @althafvly. First of all, thank you very much for this awesome ROM based on Android 12L (LineageOS 19.1).
It's very stable, fast and battery-friendly. Please dear friend, continue improving this ROM. I really hope the Encryption, SELinux enforcing and UI Lag can be fixed.
One week ago, I had AICP ROM (Android 11) ( @jeferson1979 ), and It is a very stable ROM, but it has two big problems: It's kinda slow and everytime I try to install an weekly update, the whole system is damaged. I really don't know why this happen. I only boot to Recovery and flash the updated ROM, after that I cannot boot.
Tired of that, I tried this Android 12 ROM and wow it's amazing.
Please althafvly, can you add the Security Features that Disable the Quick Settings (Notification Bar) and Disable the Power Menu from Lockscreen???
Thanks again both developers.
Wait....
Testing on my XT1607. I'm getting "System UI isn't responding" once the pulldown menu finally loads (very laggy). One idea is this could be happening whenever the camera & flashlight options aren't working? When the camera and flashlight started working after a few reboots, the pulldown menu stopped being laggy.
The ability to connect to a Wi-Fi hidden SSID has now become fully broken in harpia with 19.1. For some reason, the initial setup wizard *can* connect to a hidden SSID, but, after that, if you ever disconnect from it, you can't connect to it ever again, nor can you ever add it fresh and connect to it. This is further deterioration of the following bug: https://gitlab.com/LineageOS/issues/android/-/issues/2678
Btw, I was able to get data and SMS to work, but not calling, for whatever reason.

Compatibility notes:
You MUST be on Android 9 stock ROM before flashing this. (Most of you are on it already anyway.)
This ROM is entirely untested on the SM-T385.
Based on previous projects floating around on this forum, the ROM can be flashed but will not have cellular support.
I will NOT add cellular support to this ROM. I only have the Wi-Fi only tablet, and that is all I am going to work with.
Boot can take about a minute because Samsh*t's camera blobs are rather unstable and it takes it a minute to load up.
Things that do not work at the moment:
Offline charging is unsupported at the moment. Will be fixed soon, but for now don't bother with charging while powered off.
Reboot to recovery is totally broken. I have no idea why this is. It's being looked into.
Adoptable storage is not working.
Instructions:
Update to the latest version of Android 9 for this tablet. It doesn't matter how you do it, be it system updater or with Odin. Just get it on the latest version.
Install a custom recovery of any sort.
TWRP exists here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/3747564/
LineageOS recovery coming soon
Format the data partition. That is, on TWRP, the Format Data option (not to be confused with Wipe data)
Install the ROM like you would anything else in TWRP.
Do NOT enable "Update Lineage Recovery alongside the OS" for now.

Changelog:
20230310:
- Initial, rather broken release
- Things are ok-ish, it's selinux enforcing and all
20230408:
- Fixed sensors. Rotation working.
- Removed auto-brightness. Apparently this tablet just straight up does not have auto-brightness sensor, so I cannot support it.
- LineageOS recovery works.
reserved:tm:
Thank you!
- N3RDP0RT4L
Current Issues:
1. No functional SD support. The format menu shows, but after formatting the OS will not read the card when inserted.
2. Auto brightness does not work even when it is turned on.
3. Rotation support for any UI menu doesn't work out of the box.
Note:
NTFS is supported out of the box, when tested on a USB HDD reader on a dock.
Updater process ended with ERROR: 255 when installing .zip
... I just used Google better ... let me see. I'm relatively new at this, but I was able to build.
Thank you so much for your work! I've had this device for years and I haven't seen a single custom ROM for the T380 until now. I'm excited to watch this project evolve.
I'm surprised no one has tried Austin's. "ishitos" it's a really nice debloated stock ROM. It installed for Austin.

....this is post is for discussing LineageOS on the T380, the developer intends to improve it. It's really weird that you keep telling people to use a different ROM instead, kinda disrespectful towards the dev tbh.

I'd recommend it when the ROM is unstable, and incomplete. I know the Dev.
I recommend having a failsafe incase something is up with the ROM as well. I'm very glad to have lineageos available on the device.
While I agree that this ROM kind of isn't in the best shape, I do think that you should keep iSh*tOS to its own forum thread, or make one if it does not exist. If people need some other ROM they can find it themselves.
Sorry, I haven't worked on this tablet in a hot moment, a lot of other things got busy, I got sick and the moment I recovered I have two exams and an interview back-to-back. That being said, a number of things are fixed, notably the sensor drivers. Adoptable storage is an easy fix that I just haven't tested yet, but the real problem is the recovery reboot shenanigan, I suppose.
Ok
iSh1tOS is my project yes and it can be found in my rooting guide/treads. This thread is only for lineageOS 18 on the SM-T380.
New build: 20230408
Changelog:
- Fixed sensors. Rotation working.
- Removed auto-brightness. Apparently this tablet just straight up does not have auto-brightness sensor, so I cannot support it.
- LineageOS recovery works.
Reboot-2-recovery is still broken. I kind of don't understand why at this point, but I'll keep digging.
Note that security patches are still on March. Google has not released a security patch for April at this time.
