I ask this question here because it miserably fails at me using WSA ( version 2209.40000.28.0 ) . Running LOGCAT ( the main, system, and crash buffer set is used by default ) shows me that HOUDINI isn't get loaded at all though this ARM-to-INTEL translator is present in WSA.
My researches resulted in fact that In WSA the ARM-To-INTEL-Translator related files are present as shown next
/system/lib64/libhoudini.so
/system/lib/libhoudini.so
/vendor/lib/libhoudini.so
/vendor/lib64/libhoudini.so
/proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc
/vendor/etc/binfmt_misc/arm64_dyn
/vendor/etc/binfmt_misc/arm64_exe
/vendor/etc/binfmt_misc/arm_dyn
/vendor/etc/binfmt_misc/arm_exe
but they obviously aren't used by default though are loaded via /etc/init.windows_x86_64.rc

Also neither file /system/build.prop nor file /vendor/build.prop doesn't contain the related entries
Code:
ro.vendor.enable.native.bridge.exec=1
ro.dalvik.vm.isa.arm=x86
ro.vendor.enable.native.bridge.exec64=1
ro.dalvik.vm.isa.arm64=x86_64
ro.dalvik.vm.native.bridge=libhoudini.so
as shown here.
They are empty files. Have tested it with
Code:
adb shell 'echo "$(cat /system/build.prop)"'
adb shell 'echo "$(cat /vendor/build.prop)"'
Would be great it can be answered with YES and is shown to me a solution.
Same experience: Not any arm app get's installed and running.
Error gone since I upgraded to WSA version 2211.40000.7.0 for Windows 11 what features Android 13

Hi guys
I created a simple windows batch script for some normal adb commands
Like adb push/pull/install.
It just requires Android SDK installed on PC
Will add some more options as , when and if required
Though Initially I made only considering my phone ,I suppose it will work on all androids except the option of backing up frameworks.Didnt test on any other phone.
For Full help/tutorial about script
http://galaxy551.wordpress.com/gearloose/
Place gearloose.bat in any folder .
Before transferring execute option 2 which just makes required folders
Cheers
EDIT 1:
Gearloose now in Linux bash flavor too
Download gearloosetux.zip
Now with a make-do GUI for windows
Now gearloose in make do GUI
I used a free Installer project from The Wizard's Apprentice 1.5 from source forge
Thanks to Dion Nicolaas for creating this software
This is beta level and doesnt provide the same functions of Gearloose
Framework support is not in gearloose
Nor is batch app install and single data/system apps backup for now
Antivirus software raise flags while executing GearlooseGUI.bat .
But you guys can check the script and I assure it just a false positive.

this is alternative way to root the Huawei Mediapad 7 lite
credits vampirefo for his id command root check
my model was/is S7-931w which has wifi
1) use google playstore to install a terminal apk
2) download an apk to sdcard called Root Master (english Version).apk
http://www.nextwap.net/mobile/vE4C-rxxce/root_master__english_version_.html
3) allow your device to install unknown sources
4) install apk and open it
5) you will see 3 options, system info....root....and manager......choose the middle one
it will take some time with some animation
the first time it ran.....I checked inside the terminal to see if id command worked correctly.....it did not
6) reboot the phone and try again
If successful, in a terminal you are looking for the su command to change the prompt from $ to #
AND then run the id command and you must see only 2 responses...... user id and group id
---if you get a third response you have to redo it and reboot it
correct image is attached

Giving fallowing error
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
cd system/xbin
lsattr
and see the permission of .b .ext.base and .sys.apk then try chattr -your device permissions.
Your device permissions could be different thats why.
Hi,
i've been looking into jailbreaking the micsig sato 1004 scope, which runs android 11 on some aarch64 rockchip SoC as far as i can tell so far. Both developer mode and installation of third party apps is blocked.
I found out how to get into upgrade mode, which exposes the device through usb for use with the rkdeveloptool:
GitHub - rockchip-linux/rkdeveloptool
Contribute to rockchip-linux/rkdeveloptool development by creating an account on GitHub.
github.com
This allowed me to download the full storage image, which looks like this:

}
(ignore the unallocated 436gb at the end, i flashed the image to an ssd for easier access)
Sifting through the boot partition in an hex editor, i noticed that the default serial interface should be active.
My goal is to root the device and enable the installation of third party apps.
I was wondering what would be the smartest choice to do from here on? I was thinking opening it up and hooking up the serial port - but i would very much like not to open it up just yet, if any of you has a better suggestion.

SU is available in the original firmware using ADB. I started to combine something with Magisk, but it was not possible to install and an error appeared:
Code:
FBE found but FBE support not present in TWRP
I decided to uninstall Magisk but now I don't have SU in ADB:
Code:
adb shell
p281:/ $ su
/system/bin/sh: su: not found
127|p281:/ $
How to restore SU?
I tried to restore the boot partition using a previously made backup in TWRP but it doesn't help :-(

Unfortunately, I did not make a copy of the system partition.
Where to download stock firmware?
Could someone make a copy of the system partition and send me? Thanks.
