Hey, NoGravity Kernel dev here! You may already know me from my other supported phones (OnePlus 2, F1, Mi 8, X3 Pro, Mi10T, F3, F4) I've graduated with a bachelor degree in computer science and I actually work as a C# programmer. NGK's mindset is Performance/smoothness while getting good battery life due to added battery oriented features.
I currently do not own the device, but if you like my work and want to support me, a crowdfunding was made in order to speed up the development for this phone
(Scroll down for Telegram Group link where I'll be most of the time)
The Kernel will boot using Balance Profile when Magisk is present. Other profiles for battery, performance and gaming can be switched to in my app.
To tweak the kernel easily, here's my No Gravity app! featuring custom profiles (Battery, Balanced, Performance and Gaming & Gaming+). My app offers some device specific features that can't be found in other kernel tweaking apps. You can find them lower in the thread.)
-No Gravity app! support

-KernelSU support
-NGK Thermal locking mechanism*
-DC Dimming
-Boeffla Wakelock Blocker

-DTS Eagle (Sound) Info Page
-More will be added...
-More features...
-Let me know what you want and those may be added!
This kernel should work on any ROM & MIUI!
-I recommend before coming to conclusion, give it at least 2 complete charge cycles and then raise any issue.
- I recommend to use my app, franco app or EX Kernel Manager if you need to tweak the kernel further
-Flash No_Gravity_Kernel-vX.X.zip file in TWRP (Latest TWRP Recovery Recommanded)
-(Optional) - Clear cache and Dalvik => if you do so, Use App Optimization button in NGK App to regenerate ART or let device charge at idle at 100% for some time (that's when android runs optimizations).

Hello!
Thanks for this fantastic work.
I flash this morning and only have one problem: when use the fingerprint, have flash effect and the brightness up to max. I have to acces brightness bar for change manually.
Test in LineageOs Official.
The apk works fine, but have to grant root permission manually in magisk.
Thanks!!

Ive just uploaded:

F2_1.0.0-dtbo-miui-FIXED.img
F3_1.0.0-dtbo-miui-FIXED.img
F4_1.0.0-dtbo-miui-FIXED.img
Mi10T_1.0.0-dtbo-miui-FIXED.img
Files (Kernel section) for people having screen content dimension issues (mostly seen on miui) its been tested quickly and reported to work, thanks to @AbdulazizHashim
Hope all is fine now (pinch to zoom, telegram replies, UI size, genshin joystick size)
For those who don't know what dtbo is, if you face any of the above mentioned issues flash corresponding dtbo for your device after flashing the kernel.zip and it should fix you issues.
Now hopefully, I can go to bed
Maybe stupid question, but ... Do I need to be rooted to enjoy all features of the Kernel?

To use NGK app, yes you need to be rooted. But you can still use the kernel without root.

For my opinion, all good things are only working with root...
x Magisk modules
x Kernel tweaks
x adaway
x fstrim.....and so on......

I wanted to say : "fstrim runs on every boot with ngk" but yes, also needs root for bootup tweaks lol
Is it only some roms which have audio issues with NGK?

I have a similar issue with the lock screen and fingerprint. 1-st the lock screen is more yellow than usual and when it is unlocked by fingertip the screen flash, also flash when locked by not taking any actions on lock screen. I already flashed the fix "F2_1.0.0-dtbo-miui-FIXED.img" ,but nothing happened.
I have an additional question: Is it a problem to use your Kernel together with "3C all in one toolbox pro" ( any conflict with each other)
Is it only some roms which have audio issues with NGK?

I don't have any audio issues even with viper4android fx

Yea I'll check for fingerprint - screen brightness. New dtbo has some brightness/panel fixes for miui, but I doubt that it will fix fod issue.
Hmm first time I hear about 3C AIO. I would say as long as you dont alter the same things in both apps you are fine.
Hotfix is out for kernel (1.0.1) and app (6.1.1!)
Changelog post(#2) updated, thread updated.
Hello @Pierre2324 ! This is the problem with the fingerprint and brightness. Isn't fixed with last update

Yea didn't expect the hotfix to fix this specific issue, more important ones were required to be fixed, but I'll have a look at it. Know any custom kernel with it fixed?

M2P won't be as preety. Just saying.
It optimizes the system by cutting down on the fancy stuff and going for the more responsive and fast route of doing things. They'll be at least 400+mb of ram in the M2P version unlike M2 which usually has less

Will the battery life be same for both version or less for M2P??
Is it possible to dirty flash M2 and/or M2P over RR-Milestone1?
withch is better and more stable ?
if m2p is better why make m2 ?
Is "lblbuild6.zip" the M2 zip for LBL??
If this rom is more smooth than FlexOS... I will reflash my phone for the 5x today !
It's just beautiful the number of ROM which goes out this month !
(MIUI, FlexOS, Vanir, RR M2P, ...) and finally the team Revolution.
Wow. You are Incredible @Furrydaus and the others. :good:
M2 and M2P are different
M2P is more ugly with no gradients but it has more performance. As for battery, I didn't fully tested it.
M2 is more aesthetically pleasing but is slower at times.

All the other ROMs don't have 2 editions. So which of these two scenarios is right?
1. M2 graphics = AICP/CM/PAC/Vanir/FlexOS graphics and M2P graphics are worse
2. M2P graphics = AICP/CM/PAC/Vanir/FlexOS graphics and M2 graphics are even nicer
i dont understand , which one is the best?m2 or m2p?

Nope don't flash gapps, just flash the zip and done.
Just flashed this rom and I'll say the rom is good but a bit laggy, using L speed makes it good. The battery is OK, L speed fixes it too.

Nice rom!
The only troubles are that night light scheduler and jump to camera gesture dont work, battery drain(but not so much) and just a little laggy in general
But is very stable and useful!
The only thing that i miss is the possibility of turn on the screen through gestures

About rom
Current bugs
1) Cts Mismatch (Dev said will be fixed in next update, so no issues )
Good things about the rom :
1) Stable
2) Snappy
3) Batery drain is minimal
4) Customizations minimal but those accents need to be mentioned especially.
5) Delta updates (small updates ) makes updating easier
6) Default kernel has loads of optimizations , sound is awesome as the dev himself loves listening to music .
7) Based on caf and some aosp code too , so best of both worlds ,
Bad things:
!) Comes preinstalled with gapps (with almost all major google apps )
Not a big issue but still , hope someday caf roms too support signature spoofing and come clean .
Thanks dev for such an awesome rom .

Wait- included gapps isn't a bad thing. It saves you from the mess of downloading gapps. Plus, you can debloat unnecessary stuff using terminal. (Till the debloat magisk module is active, debloated apps won't come back - even if you dirty flash your rom).

FM isn't working, default camera only captures images up to 8.3mp and system UI crashes when connecting to bluetooth. I did clean install+default kernel. The ROM is smooth and snappy and no other bugs other than the ones mentioned.

Clearly, the difference here is that there's VoLTE in this build while Hyper LineageOS does not. Also some other performance optimisations have been added and few drivers in the kernel have been updated.

I come back after a week without any bug or freeze. I just found the battery is better too and not the same because where I was always on ~70% screen light, I'm now always at 100% without SOT loss.
For basic usage, you can perfectly use this.
I will try the update.
Once again, MANY thanks
Edit : on latest build, scrolling in apps like Facebook seems heavy and slower. I flashed over the last build and no wipe, don't know if it matter
Edit 2 : came back to normal alone after some minutes, don't understand why
