hey don't know if every one knew this already but i could not find anything on here about it,but any way
you can get into diag mode from the terminal emulator
type su then enter to give super user permissions and then type
echo 1 > /dev/qct_diag_enable (to enable diag mode)
..and your phone should go into USB diag mode. when you are done just:
echo 0 > /dev/qct_diag_enable (to disable diag mode)
works on the new cm7 rom and i guess it would work on the froyo roms as well!
hope it helps.
IT WILL HELP THE METRO CRICKET USERS WITH SERVICE PROGRAMMING !
and a big thanks to gdemi from the cyanogen(mod) forum for finding this on his htc hero!

i dont know if the link you put up works or not i could not get adb to work for me i use the terminal emulator in gsb and typed in the commands with it plugged in to the laptop i heard the sound of the usb and opened QPST and there it was, but you must leave it plugged in when you type the disable command for it to turn diag mode off!
i wonder if one of the devs could make a working app that we could just run to turn it on and off from the app???
Awesome this will be a big help! Wish I knew about this sooner!

IS THIS WORKING FOR EVERYONE ???
SOME FEEDBACK WOULD BE NICE !

did anyone try this??
verified on my Sprint Hero, flashed to Cricket and running newly installed CM7 ROM.. now continuing on to see whether I can finally make the data portion of my service work... Thanks for this tip; it helped me get the phone to USB identify such that QPST service programming can connect.
when you run in diag mode appear something on screen emulator? I've tried many times but nothing appear on screen. The file is qct_diag_enable is correctly located under /dev folder.
I've tried with 2 version on cm7 on two different device...
When I open qspt the program tell me that there is no phone connected in dev mode. I've to activate some virtual serial port on pC?

I have the same phone but mine is running android 4.0.4 can I ask you if your magnetic sensor is working? I mine is a yamaha530 but it doesn't give out data...
And please let me know if you find something, i've been searching high and low... I've even offered fastcardtech a free ftp server for all their Roms on talkingmobi.com if they can help us... Same as you I want to find out if we can use the "root many mtk65xx" here on Xda.. But I'm not really up to just testing and bricking it..
I received a reply from the phone supplier with a way to root th phone, I'll test it ASAP and post the results

So i managed to root my N9977 this is how:
Download this rar first: www.anniblue.com/xda/rootingn9977.rar
1. Enable usb debugging and connect the phone to your pc.(win xp/ wista/ 7/ 8)
2. Install Snappea and download the usb driver within Snappea, when the phone is recognized, pls turn Snapped off and click do not remember it
3. Go to pc task manager- process- kill wandoujia helper.
4. Extract MTK6577 One Key Root to your pc, and click one key root.bat, then press enter on your keyboard then on your phone there should pop up a restore screen choose restore My Data (No need to type the password). Then the phone will auto reboot twice.
Meanwhile do not touch anything on your phone or pc, or the phone will get bricked.
5. Check menu- if there is an “#” icon, if yes, it’s rooted, or do it again.
The one key root.bat is all in Chinese or some strange language but no need to do anything but click enter after you open it. Then after its installed you will get a Chinese superuser apk but just download superuser from play store and run a binary update in the new one and you'll be fine
Enjoy
I got this from the fascardtech tech support but I had to rewrite the guide as it seemed translated with Google from Chinese.

Thank you zozew.
Does anyone out there has the original ROM for N9977 with Android 4.1.1?
I bricked my N9977 by rooting it with the N9776 root method... : (
I'm not sure if this is considered a boot loop but when turned on, after the logo it turns into a blank screen.
Anyway, I was stupid enough to install 3D chainfire when it's not compatible (I neglected the description since it worked on my previous galaxy ace) ... Soooo can anyone help me on this?
I've tried going to recovery mode to:
- wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache partition (but shows error)
Not sure what else can I do anymore. I'm noob at these. Since Ace 3 is fairly new, it's quite hard to find a solution with google haha.. Also, I have zero knowledge about flashing ROM or of the sort..
Extra info in case it helps:
- My phone is Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 GT - S7275R
- Rooted with a Chinese universal rooting program
- When entering recovery mode, it shows "no command" for a few seconds before entering the menu.
Thanks in advance for helping!

If your device can access fastboot mode, it still can be saved.. Just follow mega unbrick guide, I had bricked my device once and saved by following those guide..

If you have bootloop and have access to Fastboot, why don't you flash Recovery and enter recovery? Or just run recovery .img file from fastboot?...
Then just flash .zip rom file and just it

Hi everyone and sorry for my bad english i'm Italian i have a big problem with a P20 lite that won't boot up. When i power on the device he got stuck on brand screen (TIM branded) and if i try to shut it down the phone starts a rebooting in the same screen and got stuck in TIM screen another time. I tryed to enter in recovery in many ways, even with USB and ADB, but the only response i have is with buttons and is a totally green screen with a blue square in top and red one in bottom of the screen with this green background, i can only go in Huawei download mode and use ADB tools, i can't even use the official HiSuite application like the Huawei download mode suggest me because i can't activate developers options. The good fact and the only road to work i guess is that i can use the ADB tools but even if i try to enter in recovery typing "fastboot reboot recovery" the board give me "not allowed" if i try to reflesh system or any stock img he don't allow me to do anything except mormal reboot and device COM address with the check devices command. The bootloader is clearily locked and with some research i found that the only way to unlock the bootloader on this devices is trust to unlocking services with credits like "DC Phoneix, Chimera etc." but my doubt now is.. if i'm ain't able to power on and go in menu and information of the phone to get needed infos like serial and others and sharing this with services to let the procedure work, how i can do? OR the services like this is total automatic i only got to pay and go even with a total unaccessible phone? I have Chimera and i achieved to extract the stock img and UPDATE.APP to this phone but i'm unable (like i say) to flashing everything i can do anything else with Chimera? Or anything else with other methods? I also buyed the MTK dongle i wish to try it. The phone is totally stock not rooted, never unlocked. Sorry for my bad english the last time and thanks for reading. If some point or question it's not clear i'm here to explain better my doubt.

It isn't download mode, simply fastboot mode. Bricked by itself? Bro, I also had this problem with the green screen, it happened after rebranding, after flashing wrong oeminfo and wrong FW .* But with the unlocked BL it was not a problem. Okay, it doesn't matter...
In fastboot mode run this command:
fastboot oem get-build-number
tell me result, please.

So, it's possible unbrick this phone online with TeamViewer on PC using paid service ministryofsolution.com .
And need to open back cover of your phone (due to a test-point method). IMO the best solution. Or you can try DC-Phoenix for 19euros, but you have to do everything manually, without experience it's a risk...
