There are no custom ROMs too?
I guess there is no way you can get it working on unsupported version of Android.

If you are still in gb just connect your Neo V to your pc via usb, (let it install pc companion, if you haven't already), run pc companion and it will find a new firmware version. Do the update. The last official update is .587.
Neo V isn't officialy supported anymore. So, .587 will be the last one and there won' t be any official JB update.
You can only find some custom ROMS around, if you are interested in the JB feel.
Of course, this needs rooted device and sometomes unlocked bootloader.

Hello everyone, this is my first post.
I have a bricked Xperia U. I tried to put a custom ROM but something went wrong, and now my phone it's stuck on the "Sony" logo, doing nothing, cannot even enter in CWM.
I tried to put a stock firmware with Flashtool (I've installed the necesarely drivers from flashtool/drivers), but it gives me an error.
I noticed that if I enter in flash mode, an error it's popping up saying that the "device is not recognized".
Here is the log:

So, if you can help me, please do so! Thank you in advance!
It seems the .tar you tried to flash has corrupt files, try with another .tar and tell me if it worked.

Thanks for your response. I tried with like 3-4 other ROMS, but it also do the same. I don't think that's the problem.
L.E: I've managed to flash my stock ROM! I used Flashtool on Win 7, first I tried to use Flashtool in Win 8, but the drivers won't install even with the driver signature trick. In Win 7 worked after 1st try!
Have you tried to flash another kernel via fastboot? Maybe there is the problem.

If you have unlocked bootloader you can try to flash a custom rom kernel. These kernels have already got CWM/TWRP installed so you won't have problems
