Talking about labels? You have to choose labels and colour from gmail and same will be shown in the app. That's how mine works. I don't know if you can customize labels in the app.

Is there any way I can add avatars to my contacts that don't have an avatar. (not just manually, an app to do it) I'd like to choose a default one (rather than a blank square) and then, i don't care what but choose from a selection of cartoon characters or something.
Is there a way to make the app names text smaller? For some reason, I just hate how large the text is.
Well, you could use Small Font setting under Display and then adjust text sizes in all apps a bit higher (in their respective settings) ...

I am trying to make an app that allows for accent color theming throughout the app so the user can pick whatever color they would like. Because this is after the app starts up, it cannot be changed via XML android styling and must instead be done programatically with java.
I managed to set the colors based on the theme selected (more or less, still working out kinks) but I noticed that in nested Preference Screens the actionbar defaults to the XML style of gray. How would I change the actionbar of all nested Preference Screens?
