I know it isn't for everyone, but I really like some of the UI of MIUI - specifically the app switcher which operates vertically and displays two apps side by side.
Has anyone come across an app or launcher which offers the same app-switcher experience as MIUI on no-Xiaomi devices? Or even a complete MIUI theme? (OxygenOS,OnePlus 7 Pro)
Thanks
Hi, maybe it's possible. First your phone should be rooted and you should install miui module on it. Then you can download miui apps and run it on your custom roms.

Hi All,
Since most of us have been moving to US Tmob and GB froyo, the blur launcher has been tweeked and made to work like a gem. It is really smooth and I do not find necessity to go to Launcher Pro.
Walter had previously put out a themed blur launcher like this one for his MS2 ROM. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=743372
Unfortunately it cannot be used on these froyo builds. Can anyone please theme the stock launcher please?.
I tried many times on all froyo builds to make the themed launcher work but could not do so. Walter had given a zip file to install it from CWM but that kept bricking the phone and I had to use alternate launcher to keep the phone running and flash an sbf.
Can anyone do that pleaaase ?
Im with you on this one too. I actually like the original blur launcher but it would be nice if you could actually change the assignment of the right hand button to go to text messaging or setttings etc..
Wondering where walter is these days. He can help if he sees this.
Sent from my MB525 using XDA App
I recently installed MIUI V4 on my Galaxy S (my first time playing with MIUI) and noticed something cool in that it allows you specify which apps can show notifications and which can't.
Now I'm wondering if someone knows of an app or mod that does the same I can install or flash on my S2.
is there any way i can disable those annoying allview themes? or at least get some new ones
I already searched google and this forum but with no result.
The phone is working fine except that the themes are lagging the menu.
The phone is rooted but i can't find any cusotm roms or methods to get rid of those themes.
Ideas? Anyone?
up?
up !
this is the final UP.. i don't think there are any devs for this model
Hi there!
I saw that development has just started here on XDA: LINK
I just got my P6 this week also, and I'm relatively new to Android anyway.
I installed the Nova launcher and it gave me an option to be the default launcher, and home screen. I found that this disables the built in "Theme" app functionality, because it lists no themes available (original Themes are: Berry, Crystal Love, New Vintage).
I suppose, it would be easier to replace the Phone.apk and Contacts.apk with AOSP ones, rather to modify themes. Or at least I prefer to delay theming until rooting can be reversed for warranty issues.
Bye!
Alright, I got my new redmi note 3 snapdragon 32 GB variant delivered to me just 2 days ago & I've been customizing MIUI as per my needs ever since. I've also rooted it & installed the xposed framework. I'm coming from a moto G 2nd Gen, which ran almost stock android. I've decided to stick with MIUI instead of flashing a custom ROM like cyanogen to see what MIUI has to offer.
But the one thing I don't like about MiUI is it's recent app view. The thumbnail view(iPhone style) in MIUI shows only 3 apps at a time & the icon view wastes too much vertical space. Comparing this with the stock android recent apps view, I can select like 5 apps without the need to scroll & the design just makes good use of the screen space available on my phone. Is there any mod which would allow me to get a vanilla android style recent apps view in MiUI? Thanks.

Hello guys,
I've been using aosp based roms for a while now and I loved the swipe up gesture, with that little bar where you pull it up to open recents, click to go home and there's this little back button also, best navigation system I have ever seen for a smartphone, way better than the full gesture of the MIUI EU.
The thing is, for as much as I love roms, Poco ones are way behind MIUI on performance and that game tools app on the latest MIUIs is a killer.
Anyway, is there a port from somewhere to use that navigation system on MIUI, excluding those idiotic apps from the Play Store?
Thank you very much!

I guess this should work for you
