Pulling my hair out!
I purchased the tablet so that I could use it on my upcoming caravan travels. I put together a number of itineraries using HTML and Javascript.
When I got the tablet, I copied my suite of files to the tablet from my laptop. Yes, my ‘system’ was working perfectly on the laptop and I had already tested them successfully on an old Samsung Tab 4.
No problem with the files – they ran as expected.
Then, not having a lot of experience with tablets, I allowed an update to go ahead. Ever since then, my files do not run properly!
Problem Summary
1 Files are there but my Lenovo cannot see them.
2 Cannot create a shortcut to the home screen.
3 Different app allows me to see my files.
4 HTML file does not function properly – it’s like it can’t see the other folders it references.
5 Links do not work – “No application can open this link”
Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? I tried rescue flash, but that failed more than once!

Hello everyone.
Please, I would like your help to the following...
Having on my Android tablet (Android 8.0 and no more updates) on Google Chrome too many open tabs, is there any way to find the number of the tabs that are open? Just the number of open tabs, without going on each tab separately and adding one by one. I want only the open tabs number.
No root.
Thank you for your time.

Hi! I'm sorry that I have to post this, and this is an incredibly stupid problem. But I disabled OEM Unlock on a rooted device with a custom bootloader...
So I was trying to see if all the developer settings were right and I just made quite the oopsie. I don't know how to fix this. I've got a Samsung SM-T580 that I rooted a couple of years ago and it's still rocking Android 8.1.
How do I fix this? How do I enable OEM Unlock? I'm perfectly fine with formatting the device and losing data, because there's not much to lose. I was planning on trying to get Android 10 on my tablet anyways because the WIFI keeps randomly disconnecting. (Android 8.1 bug)
Thanks in advance!
PS: The bold text acts as a summary.
Edit: FIX:
To fix this issue you just need to download the firmware for your device and your region.
Then you just need to download Odin and unpack both the Odin and firmware .zip files.
Watch this video it really helps:
Do Not use the firmware download link provided in the video, because that site is just a waste of time!
Use this site for firmware download: https://sfirmware.com/
Hope this helps anyone!

Good day, and thanks for the response! I'm really new here, I just made an account here just for this problem lol.
As the title states I'm trying to get my old android tablet to install 5.1.1 so I can run Octoprint for 3D printing and all the information and links I've found are outdated or no longer exist, is there anything I can do to make this tablet useful or not? Otherwise I'll just use it as a frisbee I guess.
Thanks in advance

Hi folks, this forum is really different to when I last visited so I am not sure where to post this...
I have the DJI RC Pro, screened remote control that's running a very slim Android 10.
The RC does not have Google services installed so I'm sure you can understand the issues that this leads to.
I am not even sure how one would even go about rooting the RC but ideally I would like Google services added, any advice please?

My apologies, I am on my phone, whilst it's not much of an excuse, I will try to post when in the laptop so I can check things 1st, again, my apologies.
I don't know anything about the device but if your main goal for right now is simply services, maybe you can look into "microG" to get the services, or there is an option called the "aurora store" both of which you can download on your android device without having to setup adb or fastboot.
MicroG's Website
I wrote some knowledge on aurora here
if you have adb and fastboot access that opens you to being able to just flash gapps normally but idk your situation
Hello,
I recently tried to find a workaround for installing an Android 13 GSI for my Nokia T20 tablet (TA-1392). It unfortunately backfired and now I don't know how to install the new GSI for my tablet without an unlocked bootloader. If possible, how can I unlock the bootloader? If not, is there a workaround?
This is an absolute emergency because I do not know if I bricked my tablet by trying to install a new GSI.

I certainly believe you. A forum with 11+ million members, 3.5+ million threads incorporating 75+ million posts in ??? (I've never tried to count them) fora is certainly not easy to organise to everybody's satisfaction. For this reason, some staff guidances and announcements are stuck at the top of every forum that might be helpful - if read!
Have you already had a look at this great guide by our RC @sd_shadow?

To whom this may concern,
As of today, 5/14/2023, I have updated the title of the thread to try to get better insight on my problem.
This is no longer an emergency.
As for today, I have discovered that my tablet was hard-bricked when I clean-erased it back in April 2023. However, with some deeper research, I found that it is recoverable. In terms of how, since the tablet tends to, when turned on, intermittently get detected by my Windows 11 desktop as 2 different identities, I need to somehow install/flash something onto the tablet within that split-second of identification to keep it from turning off while flashing the GSI. OR: have a tool that is not the HMD DeviceKit, as I cannot get permission for my Microsoft account to access such an app. I have no fastboot or recovery mode, as that was erased when the tablet was bricked.
NOTE: The GSI that I have installed is a stable version of Android 13. It has not yet been flashed onto the tablet as of the time this post was published.
Hello Again,
I have done more research and found out that I need to put my tablet into EDL Mode. In terms of how to do so, I do not yet know. In this later research that I made over the past 24 hours, a hint points me to the internal pinout of my tablet. Can someone help me identify the pins that I need to short out to enter EDL mode if possible? Or, if this hint is not true for this device (Nokia TA-1392), can someone point out how else to enter EDL mode on my tablet? Please note that the info about the GSI that I posted yesterday is still valid.
