Question [Solved] Windows 11 ARM: Hyper-V and GNU/linux VM - Windows 11

Hi,
I have a laptop with windows 11 ARM and snapdragon 8cx SoC. I tried different virtual machines managers, but the only one that I was able to install is hyper-V (no virtual box or vmware, not supported CPU).
I followed the standard procedure to create a virtual machine, but I was not able to install any OS (even the default supported). I get this error.

The same problem is already reported here. Do you have any suggestion?
Thank you

My guess is you can't either.

Hi,
I solved the problem and found something useful for people using windows ARM and hyper-v. I couldn't use any preconfigured virtual machine available (ubuntu 18-20-22 or windows msix, haven't tried windows 11 dev) with quick create on hyper-V. So I am pretty sure that hyper-v downloads the x86_64 version of the virtual machines instead of the arm version.
I was able to install ubuntu for arm and debian for arm and then any other arm-based GNU/linux distro by disabling the secure boot function in hyper-V. So the problem is solved.
Thank you

[Q] SDK Manager won't load for ADB

I have SDK Manager installed and I know it was working when I rooted. My guess is SDK Manager won't load now because I'm using 2.3.4 software on my phone and need to upgrade SDK Manager to that same version per say. I've gone to the following website: http://developer.android.com/sdk/android-2.3.4.html and it says I need to install SDK again and it prompts me to install Java SE but I don't see my windows version of XP Professional 32 Bit. Bottom line, how can I get my ADB running again.

My goal is to ADB push these files: htc_pin_asset_rest.png and htc_pin_asset_pressed.png to my phone which are the dialer png's. Any help would be great.
Here's a preview on dialer buttons I'm trying to push.
Isn't Windows x86 the same as a 32-bit Windows operating system? The files listed don't seem to care if its XP, Vista, or 7.

There is a kernel it it enabled I think.
I have one of those USB adapters too and from what I could gather the kernels for them are in Remix (I could actually find them searching root directories) but they are just not working and I don't know how to load them. I'm a noob when it comes to Linux.

Your motherboard is on a very old BIOS (v2.70). The latest official BIOS for the ASRock Z170 Pro4S is v7.50, which includes many TPM related fixes.
Please update to the latest BIOS and post feedback.

Samsung Galaxy Book Go and windows 11

How to download and install mods on my laptop. I've always hard android phones and just delt with APK. I'm lost. Idk how to make the this any fun. Tips or Tricks anyone?
The laptop is Windows 11 based, but allows you to run Android apps if it's extended by the WSA ( read: Windows Subsystem for Android ).

Because WSA is part of Windows OS you can't modify / hack it as you can do it with a phone's Android OS. But you at any time can add Android apps of your choice to WSA.

Hello bro.
Are you still using this device? If yes, can you please share with me the appx package of the pre-installed "Book Settings" app? I bought this device from someone else before, but the seller upgraded it to Windows 11, and I downgraded to Windows 10, so I lost the app (though I remember the app was uninstalled when I got the device ). Although this program is still available in the Microsoft Store, the new version only supports x64, so I cannot currently install it. Thanks.

• I did specify some space for Ubuntu partitions but whenever I boot from the USB drive to use this space to create Ubuntu partitions and install it, I doesn't show at all !
If you wan't to test out Ubuntu you can use Virtualbox with an Ubuntu iso.
To dual boot Ubuntu from USB, use a flash program such as Rufus to flash the Ubuntu iso to your USB.
When booting your PC simply open your BIOS and change the boot order from your device.
Just create a new partition for Ubuntu when deciding to install it.
use a live iso. Don't click on install right away. go to test then use disks to make an ext2 partition a. swap partition is useful too but not necessary. Max number of partition is usally 4 after 4 it gets super tricky because it becomes more logical then primary.
