No or few development for Xiaomi with Mediatek processors.

No official roms yet but you can find unofficial roms in telegram.
I've tested lineagos 19.1+litegapps and pixel experience 12.1. they both work fine. Magisk works too. Here is the channel if you want to give it a try.

I'm not talking about official roms or not, just that there is less development on soc Media Tek devices.

I removed the link to the Youtube video as a random promotion link that's not complying with the last bullet of rule no. 5 of the XDA Forum Rules, to which you agreed to adhere when you registered six years ago.
Generally, we don't mind video clips as long as they support the content of a thread or post and provide additional information. Therefor, please advise the moderators team (best via the report function) to re-open the thread when ready to add a thorough description or synopsis of the video. Members should already be able to retrieve the essential information from the post without a requirement to visit Youtube. Thanks for your cooperation.

Hi, as you may know, currently our device doesn't have any custom ROMs. Therefore, we normally use GSIs.
As there are many GSIs, and it is not known if all of them boot on the astro, I made a channel on telegram with the GSIs that are currently compatible on the astro (surely not all of them are there, but they are the ones that have been tested already on the astro). You are free to join, it's a telegram channel in english.

TWRP Beta for ZenFone 9
Version: 3.7.0_12-0
*USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!*
Known Issues:
- No vibration/haptics
- No battery percentage
- No USB-OTG
Installation Instructions:
Image File (for installing with fastboot or from within TWRP)
1) Reboot to bootloader
2) fastboot flash recovery name-of-twrp.img
3) fastboot reboot recovery (or use device menu to reboot to recovery)
4) Profit!
Zip File (for installing in Android with Magisk/EXKM/FKM or within TWRP)
1) Flash zip file with app of your choice or directly in TWRP
2) Profit!
NOTES:
- This device has a recovery partition (2, in fact), and fastboot boot is disabled in the bootloader. Flashing TWRP to the recovery partition is the only way to use it.
- If you attempt to fastboot boot the TWRP image, your device may end up unbootable. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.
- Any questions, comments, feedback, or concerns should always be accompanied by logs (recovery log, logcat, dmesg), and preferably posted on the TWRP Zulip support page for this device.

@demonz22 Thread has been closed and all links removed!
Do note share development without the explicit approval of the original developer or even worse like in your case, do not publish work that has not been developed by you and pretend it's your work.
And just two remarks in case you eventually like to publish a recovery developed by you: TWRP is released under GPLv3 i.e. you MUST provide a link to your source! Second, in accordance with rule no. 12 of the XDA Forum Rules you MUST given credits when credits are due e.g. if your work is based on somebody else's work!
Please read my message as a severe but yet friendly warning! Any future violation of the forum rules might lead to more severe consequences to your account. Thanks for your cooperation.

Hello and good afternoon, @Captain_Throwback
Sir, I've removed the link from your above post. Regarding social media links please observe that as an exemption from the last bullet of rule no. 5 of the XDA Forum Rules, we grant only developers the privilege to share references to their social media in their own development threads and if thorough support is provided in the thread. Please refrain for sharing of social media references unless within your own development threads. As you decided not to publish the concerned TWRP version on XDA, I want to avoid that I've assess this as a self-promotion of your Telegram group. The link here in the thread was additionally unnecessary as you provided it in your report. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
