Question No Apps Can Perform This Action - Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus

Galaxy S22 Plus, EE, SM-S906B/DS, ONE UI 5, Android 13
Just recently I've started getting the popup "No Apps Can Perform This Action"
This appears to be quite random and not related to any particular app. Really tried to pin it down to a particular app and that appears to be impossible due to the random nature of the popups.
This is really starting to get on my nerves.
Anyone have any idea how to resolve this please? Never experienced this ever in all my years of using Samsung.
Thanks in advance.

It seems that you debloat "My Files" app. Not sure but ...please, check if you have had action on debloat apps
If it is possible, Factory RESET ...

My files isn't debloated but I've just remembered something. I had a work profile which created duplicate apps. I had problems getting rid of the work profile, might be something to do with that. It started about the same time

[Q] process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly.

I know there are a few threads related to this issue, but I don't feel that my situation fits into any of the ones discussed.
So after I flashed to the KE2 firmware for O2 phones (mine was PAYG), I started getting 'android.process.acore has stopped working unexpectedly' whenever I clicked on the 'history' tab of a contact. This is the only instance I've ever experienced that specific force close, and I can only reproduce it if I click on the history tab.
My phone is rooted, with typical root-related programs such as RootExplorer, Titanium Backup, JuiceDefender Ultimate, Lookout Security, AdFree. I'm running Touchwiz without any substantial modifications aside from some normal widgets.
I have frozen a few programs using Titanium Backup, but these were all from a list of supposedly 'safe to remove' programs listed here: http://samsunggalaxysforums.com/showthread.php/4811-Safe-to-remove-applications-list
I've already done flashed firmwares 2-3 times and factory reset my phone once due to a reboot loop. Everything else seems to be running perfectly.
Does anyone know what may be causing this, for example a system file I shouldn't have frozen etc? This isn't a huge problem at the moment since I don't really use the history tab at all, but I'm afraid this might have bigger repercussions if I don't figure out what is wrong with my phone.
Factory reset or reflash normal method of fixing .

I found out what was wrong.
I had frozen a service called 'LogsProvider 1.0' using Titanium Backup. Defrosting it solved the problem, and I no longer have any force closes.
I'd therefore like to reiterate that freezing LogsProvider 1.0 will cause force closes if you attempt to view the History tab of your contacts (and possibly other unconfirmed actions).
Thanks for the suggestion anyway, jje.

[Q] Virus/Phishing Malware repeatedly requesting Gmail login

Hello guys,
I have registered this account to ask this question, I will try my best to avoid any of the annoying pitfalls of being new.
HANDSET - Samsung GT-i9100
CARRIER - Vodafone UK
OS - Android 2.3.3 using GoLauncher Pro
This morning the notification bar showed 10 updates available, I updated them all, all of them being apps that I recognised. Following the updates I now get a recurring pop-up window asking for my Google account username and password. The window pops up in the middle of the screen with whatever I was looking at before dimmed in the background. It occurs on the lockscreen, homescreen and in any app I open. Pressing cancel just causes it to reappear, only pressing the home button makes it go away fully, however never for more than 30 seconds. I am able to stop it from appearing for a few minutes by clearing the RAM.
I tried entering false information into the form to see what happened - it now prompts me with the options to 'Reinput' or 'Cancle' (actual spelling) and appears just as frequently.
AVG has turned up nothing and Android Assistant doesn't show any strange processes.
I am completely stumped.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and in advance for any input you may be able to offer.
solved by unistalling and reinstalling GoLauncher. No idea what caused it. Cheers.

Damn. I uninstalled GoLauncher.
Usually it happens when you try to modify something on your account without stopping the sync before

It was an update to GoLauncher EX Notification - they have been having trouble making it work with the Gmail app for some time and thought they had it cracked, however people updating to the new version experienced this problem. Their poor spelling I suppose exacerbated the problem as it made it look like malware. Can't be critical though, must be an absolute nightmare to program something like this and write the UI in a second language.
Today's update reverts the changes and explains (ish) in the update log.

[Q] Deactivation of device administrator fails (Lotus Notes Traveler + HTC One X)

Hello all,
after receiving the recent update for my HTC One X (stock ROM, now Sense 5.0 and Android 4.2.2), the Notes Traveler app for my work e-mails is causing problems (it seems to lose account information regularly and notifies me of failed sync). Since it is about to be replaced soon anyway, I wanted to uninstall the app, which is not possible:
I tried to deactivate the device administrator for Lotus Notes in the system security settings. The checkbox remains checked after deactivation, although there was no error message.
After that, I tried to uninstall the app using the app management in system settings. However, the button for uninstalling is still deactivated.
When I go to device admins again and tap Lotus Notes in the list, it asks me if I want to activate it as administrator again. So here it seems as if it was removed from the admins, although the checkbox in the list is always checked.
The same happens when I start Notes Traveler while Lotus Notes is seemingly not an activated administrator. I can then re-enter my password and the sync works for a while (less than 1 day) before it loses the password again and re-entering won't fix the problem unless I try removing Lotus Notes from the device admins (which causes all Traveler data to be wiped).
So it seems that the removal of Lotus Notes from device administrators does not work properly. Although I am asked for reactivation when I start the app again, the administrator is still active somewhere in the system and prevents uninstallation of the app.
Did anyone have a similar problem with device administration? Can I get rid of Notes Traveler without wiping my phone or damaging anything on it?
I already asked HTC support but they only wrote that the system update often cannot be extracted completely and the only way to fix it was to wipe the phone. However, I never received any error message during or after the update and everything else is working perfectly well. Therefore I doubt that it is caused by a failed system update installation.
Hm, did nobody else have this problem so far? Or anything similar? No one with enough knowledge of the Android system who can tell me if there's any other way than the official to get rid of that thing?

Suspect the majority of users here have never used Lotus Notes or even know of it, and for that they're very lucky and should grateful

I installed LN Traveler on CM 9 and promptly removed it once I knew it wanted Device Admin permissions: A gross intrusion of privacy and control. Instead I bought and installed Touchdown by Nitro. I knew this won't help you out, but I thought your post required some acknowledgment.
Thanks for answering. I don't like Notes very much either. I already did a factory reset of my HOX to remove that thing, it was not as much work to restore everything as I thought. However, some settings (e.g. ringtones) were not restored by HTC Backup which was a little annoying but okay.
i am also having the same problem with my micromax canvas 2 pus a110q

[Q] [HELP!] Complete Action Using *always* Not working

I've found a couple pages on this throughout the forum but nothing definitive to fix this. A couple people responded on my reddit thread saying they also have this issue but could not be fixed. I really hope someone has an answer for me because it is extremely annoying
When clicking certain links, the complete action using (application) dialog shows up even when *always* is clicked.
Per the advice on other threads, I have tried: 1)Clearing defaults 2)clearing cache on the apps I think are the culprit 3)uninstalled apps I thought was the culprit 4)going to application manager and resetting app preferences (this brought back all the apps I froze but did not fix the problem)
Under the launch by default I can see that the default apps I chose are there so the system is receiving my request but is not executing it. This only happens with certain launch types, as Nova launcher is launched probably when I press home button, phone calls are dialed with my preferred dialer, but links that require a browser, apk links (play store etc) and youtube links will always ask
I think I have done everything short of just reinstalling my phone which I don't want to do. For reference I have a Note 3 / 4.4.2 / Stock fimware / rooted.
I am running some XPosed frameworks, the only one that might conflict is CompleteActionPlus but I have tried uninstalling it already and no change.
This didn't use to be a problem but I can't pinpoint exactly when it happened. Another app I thought might be the culprit was Link Bubble but uninstalling that didn't help either.
Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.
Anybody with any ideas?

Are these real apps?

Hi, apologies for any obvious errors, I've been out of android for a few years
My friend has given me her daughters Samsung J5 to sort out as she was getting pop up ads every 2 or 3 seconds rendering the phone unusable.
I've now realised the following: it's a Chinese phone which is rooted and I have no idea what software it is running but I have factory reset and run Malwarebytes which showed 2 apps as having trojans "com.mediatek.theme.mode" and "MessageData"
I've disabled both apps and the problem seems to have stopped but I'm a bit worried as they call themselves system apps, and I don't want to brick her phone!
Has anybody heard of these two so called system apps, and am I going to ruin her life of Snapchat by disabling them? I've Googled and can't find any specific info on them so I'm wondering if whatever android version it's running has had the malware written into it and they're not actual system apps?
Thanks for being patient with me!!
if the phone is rooted install twrp, make a back-up - especially the EFS one - and start to disable/remove and test
if anything wrong you can restore
and also system aps can be disabled or uninstalled - just be careful
use service disable app for samsung - think is on apkmirror
good luck
the chinese crap phones are constantly sending infos from the phone to the chinese servers
