Play store problem:
I was on Xiaomi eu custom rom, update weekly rom today and play store wont download and update app
I again download rom, format data, flash it.
not root, try play store -not working..
root phone , pass safety net -not working
clear data ,cache , everything..
not working.
I flash stock rom EEA , still got problem with play store. what should do?

Hi all,
I 'formated' my S3 i9300 with LiquidSmooth last week with help from a friend. He had to download and install CWM 6.0.4.6/7 in order to get LS installed properly. He did a wipe, but my old files are still available.
Gapps did not install standard, and thus I downloaded and installed Gapps (not flashed). But Google Play and Services does not want to start or run on the phone.
Could anybody please assist with a fix or run around? (I will not have a problem in having to flash the phone again, but would like that to be my last option)

From my experience gapps have to be installed into the system with the right permission, so what you should do is download a Gapps package for your rom version and flash it, unless you want to download all apks manually and set the permissions manually on your phone, which would just result in a lot of more work and trouble.
Just boot into recovery mode (volume up + power + home), install zip and locate the gapps package. You don't have to wipe anything other than cache and dalvik cache. So you won't have to reinstall anything. I hope I could help!

Originally, I found news articles that the S3 is not compatible with Android KitKat.
But then I found out that I was trying to install Gapps incorrectly. You install Gapps via Recovery boot, and do not flash or wipe the handset.

I have an S II I9100T, recently rooted with odin. Iv'e installed CM10.1.3 stable version from the official website. After flashing gapps 4.2.2 with siyah recovery. Keyboard keeps force close, i downloaded diffrent keyboard which is working fine. But Google play keep Force closing.
I tried force stop from apps menu clearing cache and data from google play but no luck.
I tried to fix permissions with custom recovery but i couldnt find fix permission on siyah custon recovery, where is it?
Why apps keep FC to me if its a stable version of CM? How can i fix this?

@torecdude first download some light gapps for cm10.1.3 and then reformat system again and flash cm10.1.3 and the light gapps, you could use mine light gapps or from banks. Just try it since it almost sounds like an gapps issue maybe
Used the update.zip flash tool in recovery mode to load MIUI 7 (5.9.18 Global) from
http://obigota.d.miui.com/5.9.18/miui_HMNote2_5.9.18_607c5312c7_5.0.zip
Now google services won't work. I am at a loss to work out what to do. I have cleared the cache for all google apps and also cleared cache in recovery mode.
Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem so download this version from miui eu https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347818342 fixed it for me
Bootloader unlocked, using xiaomi.eu both beta and stable all goes ok but strangely i noticed many many apps doesnt appear in the play store anymore, even jf i reach the Page from link and even if i install apk from apkmirror It days incompatibile device (example Netflix)... Could use Netflix Only trying all versione and Only One of 2 Years ago works but It days its old and asks to update and if i do Netflix keeps saying missing files.
If i use official Xiaomi global stable rom flashing with fastboot complete, i have no compatibility issues, buy After if i flash still a global but from xiaomi.eu the compatibile issue comes back, tries with developer rom installing first official MIUI developer with fastboot, still problem doesnt solve.
When i flash the rom i use twrp, erase data, then wipe cache, dalvik, system data and storage, the flash rom, the. Wipe cache and dalvik again, then reboot. No way, maybe i do something wrong,. My device keeps incompatibility with many apps...
Tries both with and wihtout magisk.... The Only way i have ti have full compatibility Is to use official MIUI global stable...

Whenever I try to use play store using my phone it shows error over wifi, but on mobile data it's perfectly fine. I've tried restarting, and clearing cache. It just doesn't work. I have just factory reset the phone, the problem has been there just a while after the factory reset. Any suggestions?
when the problem started? after an ota stock update? is a very strange problem... i can suggest you try a clean flash of stock rom via miflash. before flash set active slot to a. download latest fastboot firmware. wait your feedback
