Question Test Point for 9008 Mode - Xiaomi Poco F4 GT / Redmi K50 Gaming

Does anybody know the pins need to be shorted for me to boot into 9008 Mode (EDL mode)? EDL Cable, DIY EDL Cable, and buttons doesn't work for me. Also, I can't boot to fastboot and recovery.. Thank you!

I used "flash ab" command on ADB while installing TWRP then I got stucked on recovery loop (There's a thread on using the right ADB commands to flash TWRP.. but it's too late for me haha). While trying to restore the old recovery, i used a command (I forgot what that command is) to clear recovery ab partition and tried the proper way to install TWRP..
It worked out just fine until I tried to flash latest EU rom , failed on 50%.. cleared all partitions and rebooted to recovery mode then viola! no display but the unit is warm
Anyways, we (me and the tech guy that I contacted to fix hard brick) already located the test points for this unit.. I don't know if there are devs who already posted the test points for this unit on the internet/forum sites.
Fixed from Feb. 16, 2023. That time, only K40 series has the test point on the internet.
P.S. Oh right, I haven't posted it in here (XDA)
P.S.S. Now that I'm reviewing this thread, I remembered that I used A12 version of TWRP.. but I updated to MIUI 14 (A13) before i began installing TWRP...

Then try enter in lelus fastboot mode, ad then flash x-loader, uloader, boot.img and recovery.img from stock rom for your device type model. Then repeat steps 1 and 2
Where can I find the lelus script?

Sorry for reviving such an old thread, but oh well...
Your procedure doesn't seem to work with my device. Just to make sure we are using the same driver packages, can you post a link to the fastboot driver you have successfully used?
My L9 is always showing this "partition doesn't exist" error message, no matter what I try. Lelus's script seems to do the job and the phone is detected as a fastboot device, and can even be detected in LG Flash Tool (using a 910K cable), but flashing will stop after a little over 2 minutes, because the phone disconnects. During all of my attempts, the screen stays black.
Any hint?

Can you boot into recovery? We now have a custom recovery for locked bootloaders (and CM roms). If you can get into recovery, I would try some adb commands to mount the partitions.
No, no recovery. Just to make sure that I'm not doing it wrong, what is the key combination to boot to recovery?
I have also tried:
Code:
fastboot boot some_recovery_image.img
It says ok, but the phone just hangs at the black screen and becomes undetectable as a fastboot device, until I pull the battery. So, unless the some_recovery_image.img is unsuitable for my P760 (which may be!), there is something seriously wrong I think.
Or maybe I can try the same command with the custom recovery for bootloader locked phones... Where can I find it?

Your EMMC partition is wiped or fried... you really need a JTAG service or a Box like octopus because your L9 is Hard-bricked...
Thanks for your opinion. Yet, I still want to hear from others.
I'm running into more and more problems with the L9 as their me grows.
-Fastboot doesn't work under Windows 8.1 and 10, but under the now obsolete(for me) Windows 7, unlike my other devices, which are fine with Win 10.
-ADB seems to work, but requiring the device to be still able to boot.
-I always boot to recovery from within Android as long as the L9 ain't bricked. After a failed rom install, during which the sd card failed(could no longer write or be formatted afterwards, the last time stamps of files and folders were set during the failed install) I discovered a problem with TWRP(Artas182x's and Edwin's), which may have been present since a long time: Trying to invoke TWRP via keypress will brick the device!
So, if my P760 no longer boots, there's only download mode available, sort of the final line of defense.
-There's sort of a trick if even download mode fails: After a failed attempt unplug phone, force switch-off, if the phone is in brick state. Then switch on, force switch-off again, and only then attempt download mode again. And have patience while holding down the vol button, it might take up to 20 seconds for the phone to switch itself on into download mode. (A single forced powerdown will cause Fastboot NOT to work the next time)
But I'm absolutely clueless about the recovery issue, for now TWRP is semi-working, can only be accessed via Android, as long as the phone is fully working.
W/o Fastboot, I now have flashed stock rom several times and rooted it with Kingo rooter just to be able to run Flashify to install TWRP. If Flashify is the culprit for the TWRP issues, I could need a recommendation for a better working app.

Tried OMAP flasher ? It needs memory configuration file in order to work with our device
No, I didn't. I have sold the phone for spares.
Inviato dal mio LG-D855 utilizzando Tapatalk
I never needed the OMAP drivers and tools. As they are ancient, they will probably make even more problems with newer Windows versions.
I could by no means invoke Fastboot on this device with Windows 8.1 and 10, Seven worked. So you had to go for Download Mode instead to recover to stock rom, then root with the Kingo tool, then install TWRP via Rashr or Flashify, the most time consuming way to recover from the frequent bricks.
And the LG Flash Tool 2014 always needed several attempts to get the job done. The latest official recovery tool from LG works in D/L Mode, but will always download the rom image anew.

[Hardcore problem?] Stuck in loop, bootloader locked

Hello my friend just made an update of his phone which is a redmi 3 pro
His little bro shutdowned the phone while update was in process. The result is that now the phone have a bootloop, can't access the recovery (blackscreen when trying) and have a locked bootloader.
So I am not sur how to unlock the BL if I can't install a dev rom and can't boot. Not sur how to get into the recovery with the 2 same problems.
Could anyone help me for this one? Which is hard to me.
Thanks
PS: I tried to do something with unpacking boot and remove a ",verify" thing in the ramdisk but I guess I'll need the unlockedbootloader to flash the new boot.img?

I have the similar problem with my Redmi3. The Fastboot screen is the only screen that I can get now. Let me know if you have answer. Thanks.
If you can acces fastboot then just connect the phone to computer in fastboot and enter fastboot oem edl in cmd (maybe you will need Minimal ADB and fastboot to do it). Then flash official ROM via MiFlash.
ohoh seems interesting then it won't say couldn't verify or smthg? will tell that to my friend asap, thanks
EDL mode allows flashing with locked bootloader. Some models have this mode locked, but I think that is not the case with Redmi 3.

to go to edl mode just turn off your phone.plug the cable to your laptop or desktop but not to your phone.now be ready to press both volume up and down button as you plug the usb cable to ur phone.immediately after inserting the usb cable press both volume buttons at the same time.it should vibrate and go to edl mode.edl mode appears in black screen so to know if its in edl mode or not open miflash and click refresh ,your device should be shown as com10,20 or com something like that .once you go to edl mode you know what to do if you have used miflash to flash roms.hope this helps you.

Well about that i dont know.but your best bet to solve it is by changing the software.if that does not helps then you should take your device to a technician for repairing.

Hey! I am back with some news of my friend!
He tried to run the EDL mode but when he does that the phone simply goes into the bootloop again... He asked a vendor from Aliexpress to get a french rom, is there a way that the phone doesn't have EDL because of the rom or something like that? I mean is EDL a hardware-thing or a software-thing

I had this problem before few monthes
my solution was to "force" putting this device on EDL mode
I clicked on vol up + vol down + power together and got into EDL mode, then miflash it.
google - xiaomi understanding download mode
it will send you into miui forum
then second method, download mode, it is what I've described

Bootloader problem

Maybe I'm just stupid, but I have a weird problem.
So: I was at new bootloader and I wanted to install an old backup I made with old bootloader. So I searched on XDA for an instruction to install the old bootloader. I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-x/general/2-2-x-lollipop-bootloader-download-t3479948 and I flashed the second zip. I installed my old backup and there was just the oneplus Logo, without the powered by android text. I tried to boot into recovery and flash my newest OOS zip. - Buuut there was just the Oneplus Logo too. So I tried to manually boot into recovery with fastboot - buuut fastboot did not recognize it (I cant even boot into fastboot mode on phone). So I thought that I have maybe hardbricked it and I did the hardbricked guide - buuut my phone was not even recognized as the Qualcomm xxx or so. It was just nothing (and yes I checked my USB connection). So I have no idea what I have to do now. Thanks for your help and sorry for my bad english.

Lenovo z5 stuck in fastboot mode

Hi everyone,
first of all, I guess there should be a section dedicated to the Z5 to keep the forum clean!
Other than that, I'm really having trouble with my Z5. I can't find a way to move on from fastboot mode! Can't boot to edl, tried to flash recovery but they won't boot and so on...
Do someone has some idea? I can provide every information you need to troubleshoot that!
Thank you in advance,
Lorenzo Benevento.
Hi , inside stock firmware which .img files you have ?
Hello guys,
Could any of you create a brick troubleshooting thread in this model?
I need help with unbricking my Z5. I think I messed up with the recovery partition.
I can't turn it on at all after I press all the button combinations.
I tried the suggestions on the Sahara error that they did on the Lenovo Zuk Z2 with no success.
Does anyone have a workaround for this kind of thing?

I installed a new Lenovo USB driver and with USB cable for DEEP Flash, I put the phone in the 9008 port, and Installed with successful, many ROMs 3.9.075, 3.9.200, 4.0.390 but every time after the first reboot appear message with opened bootloader then Lenovo logo and restarting to infinite.

Don't worry i've already solved with some CHINESE PIROMANCY!!!!!!! Even with effective IMEI restoration (I couldn't restore the 2nd IMEI because I didn't know how to set up this one manually with the method I've used with my lenovo)
Hello,
I have a Lenovo Z5s. I wanted to install new android rom like Pixel Experience
I managed to unlock the bootloader with adb fastboot.
I succeeded in flashing TWRP recovery 3.3.1-0529 for my device.
I've downloaded Pixe Experience GSI rom available here https://forum.xda-developers.com/z5...evelopment/lenovo-z5s-pro-twrp-3-3-1-t3953346
I have copied and pasted the Pixel Experience rom (.img file) on my SD Card.
With TWRP, I have wiped necessary files for a clean install.
I have launched the installation of the rom, installation was complete, the phone has reboot, I show Pixel Experience boot sequence with Google logo. The process asked me a password (Encrypted?) . I decided to reboot the phone.
Now, the phone is blocked with a bootloop in recovery mode. I can't access anymore to TWRP recovery. (Erased?)
To explain clearly the situation: I have the menu showing these options: Restart bootloader > Recovery mode > Power Off > Boot to FFBM > Boot to QMM I> Start
FastBoot Mode
PRODUCT_NAME - sdm710
VARIANT - SDM EMMC
BOOTLOADER VERSION -
BASEBAND VERSION -
SERIAL NUMBER - ********
SECURE BOOT - yes
DEVICES STATE - unlocked
No Bootloader, no Baseband.
All of the options return the phone back to the same menu.
The situation seems to be critical (phone bricked) and I can't do anything and I don't know what to do. Is there a chance to save my phone?
Your help will be precious to make my phone work.
Thanks in davance . Best regards.
Hey guys i am also in bootloop with unlocked bootloader ,can you please help us to save our phone !!!???

Help needed, stuck at Fastboot Mode

Hello guys!
I've been looking for a solution to this problem, I have a Moto One XT1941-5 that was never rooted nor bootloader unlocked. I left it charging and after about one hour it was at Fastboot Mode, it says that it failed booting from normal mode. Even if I try to restart or start normally, it gets back to Fastboot.
What have I done until now?
- Tried to flash the whole latest STOCK ROM again (manually with fastboot tools)
- Tried with a ROM from another region (mine is OPENMX and tried with RETLA) and I get the same
- Tried with Repair Assistant from Motorola, nothing happens.
- Tried to unlock bootloader, it asks me to enable OEM unlock on Developer settings (I can't, phone doesn't power up)
* Something that gets me confused is about the slots, $fastboot getvar all reports that none of the slots are bootable, every time I flash the ROM it says that slot A is bootable and B not, or that A is not bootable and B yes, or none of the slots are bootable.
Here are some screenshots about the info I have.
You can follow these steps from https://forum.xda-developers.com/motorola-one/how-to/unroot-ota-wipe-data-tested-t3905745 and then fastboot erase userdata and try to boot again.

Even if you do that, there's no blankflash for this model... as long as I know, I was looking forward to find it somewhere but there is none available.

That's correct, now my device shows nothing on screen, it is just black but when I plug the usb cable, fastboot detects it as fastboot mode, all commands are working but nothing else works.
I'm giving up now.

UPDATE:
- I finally found a blankflash (my phone still the same) but you can give it a try.

1. To make your phone go to Qualcomm 9008 all you have to do is download an Android 8.1 stock rom from any region, flash it all using fastboot. You may get an error trying to flash boot.img but keep flashing the files.
2. Once you finish flashing and type: "fastboot reboot", your phone will boot into Qualcomm mode, it should be listed in Device Manager.
3. DISABLE any antivirus and download this blankflash, just unzip it and execute the blankflash.bat file.
4. Your phone should boot up in fastboot mode and you can start flashing the latest stock rom.

Was your device detected as Qualcomm? Did you use the blankflash file? Did yor phone boot to fastboot?

Indeed, after flashing an Android 8 firmware my phone went into Qualcomm 908 EDL mode. After blankflashing and flashing the latest firmware had the same issue with "No bootable A/B slot". The same state before hardbricking the phone (AP Fastboot flash mode secure).

No, lmsa would recognise the phones after A10 update, but the problem persists. Someone who has repaired this or someone who has managed to take it to the service or managed to revive the phone from this state? With locked bootloader

That didn't help either, there's nothing else we can do than replacing the main board.
Hello.
I have a similar problem. I have tried all of the methods listed, unfortunately nothing works. I ended up replacing the motherboard. The old PCB is waiting, maybe someday it can be repaired.
