Bypassing play store - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Guys i got a phone that doesnt support google but alot of apps and games are exclusive to it. I know I can try using googliefier but so far I disnt get it to work. I was wondering is there a place where I can download alternative like modded games that let me bypass google store?
For example id like to play hogwarts mystery and its possible to get the apk file from othwr sites but the game shuts down if I wont connect to google store within 5 mins. Is there a place where I could get modified apk that dosent need to connect to google store ?

Actually its not country specific to download apps. (But some apps like Google Voice, Flixster, Netflix etc. are country specific) You just need a Gmail account to download apps from Play Store.

I use hotspot shield VPN and market unlocker. I can access Play Store from Myanmar. Press thanks, if i helped you.
You can try flashing gapps again. I had same issue and reflashing gapps solved it
You think Google told us this ?
BTW try using Market Enabler
I'm having the same problem, I just bought a One X+ and I didn't want to have to root it so I could receive the factory updates. I tried just a VPN but it won't work, the Play Store won't connect with just the VPN even though the VPN is set in my home country. I guess that I'll have to root it and use Market Enabler after all .
Try with market enabler (google it), you can fake any country you want to playstore

Yes but to use Market Enabler your phone has to be rooted, that's what I was trying to avoid.

Just download the apk or try market unlocker. U can prank Google to think ure from other country and download apps! Of course that needs root as stated above!
Sent from my OC ed mind.!
You could try using Hotspot shield VPN, it's free. And with market unlocker. I'm from Myanmar too. This Works. I use Black Market instead of Google play. But I can use both.
It's working in my samsung, PM me if any problem
Press thanks, if i helped you!

[Q] [Solved] play store not working

Ok so I was using lucky patcher yesterday and I did a patch. my google play didn't connect to the internet after that, so I Deleted the play store completely (yes I have a rooted android) then I downloaded a play store apk here at xda I installed it and still it wouldn't connect, after that I did a factory reset thinking it would give me the android default play store but it didn't. My android had no trace of a play store. So I was getting aggravated and ticked off. I then downloaded a new play store here at xda, and then when I open play store it just crashes. I've done a lot to fix it but no luck. I've added a # in the hosts file and it worked for like a couple second and crashed again. I added 2 # and it worked (Example below) until I tried to download an app.
#127.0.0.1 localhost
#127.229.35.136 android.clients.google.com mtalk.google.com
Any solutions

Not all Play Store versions are the same, nor do they work with every version of android. You need the correct one for your phone and software version. Without knowing these, it's kind of hard to suggest anything further. But did you use Lucky Patcher to mod the Play Store or to block ads? That usually causes these issues.

Your best bet would be to find someone else with your phone that is rooted and then they can share their version with you. Doesn't seem to be any custom roms or much for your phone so can't just download the rom and grab the apk from it like most phones. How were you trying to install the other versions you found?
All I did was install it.
Play store works sometimes if I put 2 # in front of the ip's but once I download something it crashes and I'm back to square 1

I think you can use LP to undo that patch as well. But you should still install the Play Store in the system. That's where it belongs and needs special permissions for everything to function properly.
I don't see anything about unpatching the patch

Need to use the "Remove ODEX with changes" option. Should do the trick.

Fix playstore errors
Sorry I didn't respond sooner. Anything that involved Google didn't work so I had to find a workaround. I couldn't Use apps or crome to reply.
I will try your answers and thanks for replying.
@Paget96
I have tried those options and they didn't work.
However I did notice another thing missing... Google services framework.....
I need it for my device, I may make another thread about that.

Android unninstalling App without my permission

Hello,
I have a pixel XL updated to the android beta, and I wanted to donwload the Google news app. This app is not available in my country so I went to a repository and downloaded an APK. I installed it, and everything works as usual, the app is running smoothly, but when I close it and leave the phone idle for a few minutes the APP dissapears from the launcher. If I try to install it again the phone tells me that is already installed and I can update it, if I do that the app appears again on the launcher and I can use it again.
Can anyone help me with this? should I block permissions for Google Play services (I think that is what is messing with my apps)? or it is possible to install something to prevent this? maybe a modded apk?

Have you tried changing the launcher? Since you are using a beta, it might be a bug within the launcher.

Yeah, I'm using Nova launcher and tried with both, now success . Also the App is not listed in settings -> apps. I can see it on Solid explorer file manager though
Hi did you find your solution?

No, Still looking at it
Obviously the app is not available in your country through the play store. The play store has that function where it verifies apps which I think is called Play Protect. Of you opted in, it could be that.

I think you know more... I have recently wanted to download app(xender) which is unavailable in the country I'm in right now. I tried to use the VPN and clear g at store catch and date... The usual way. It still won't change the country. Would you know how to. Do that?

That is because the location of you play store is still set to your country, you have to change it in options. I can't do that because I have credit in the play store and doing so will take it away

I tried disabling Play protect and it still gets uninstalled

detatch app from google play store permanently.

i have a few apps which have updates in google play store.
on my tablet which is rooted i can use Titanium Backup to detach it from the store but it re-attaches it a few hours later.
i'm looking for a permanent way to keep it detached and never be in the update list.
also have the same thing for an app on my Samsung Note 9 which i want to stay on an old version and never update but as the Note 9 is not rooted i see a problem there. its Samsung Health (S-health) and its linked to my watch and syncs online so i cant use a resigned version as that breaks the online link.
as my tablet is rooted i have full access so can edit or delete anything. ive tried renaming a few files hoping they would break the google play store link but its still there.
can i just delete a file to remove it from google play store? which file? where?
thanks

It's not that hard, but you will need some tools. Basically you need to look up how to decompile and recompile apps. Then change the package name in the Android Manifest and then resign the app.
I use regular apktool.jar, but you could try something like apk multi tool. Then to resign the app, Venkat Kamesh has an excellent signing tool for free download.
Once the app name is changed and it is resigned it will no longer be connected to the play store. It also could be illegal, but I think you'll be okay as long as they're for personal use and you're not redistributing them.

Apps that Google hides from Umidigi F1 owners

I really want to play the game "Grid Autosports" but it is not available on the Google Play Store as the device has not been approved to play the game. Is there a workaround for this? Is there a way I can get the Google Store to think my phone is an "approved" phone. Thanks in advance!!!

Hi, this game has unfortunately whitelist of devices on which you can install it. Theoretically you if you have rooted phone you can rename your device to one of supported but please do not do it. On for example YouTube you can find tutorials which will show you how to install it on unsupported device. You have to just download apk and data. Install apk and extract data to specific folder and it should work. Good luck.
